You can still be part of the Mayor’s Christmas Carols without a ticket: the City of Gold Coast says to pack a picnic blanket for the HOTA Parklands, where the show is screened on big screens and there are food trucks and free Ferris wheel rides for the whole family, all from 4pm on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November. The second round of free tickets for the HOTA Outdoor Stage is at 6pm tonight, Tuesday 27 October.

The first Gold Coast Greek Festival in 13 years runs at HOTA in Surfers Paradise on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2026, with adult tickets at $11.60 on HOTA’s page, free entry for children 13 and under, and fireworks on Saturday night.

Five of the six Halloween events we found in the City of Gold Coast’s What’s On listing are free, and all five take place on Saturday 31 October 2026, but three of them need a booking or registration. The sixth, a Michael Jackson-themed kids’ party at Burleigh Heads on Sunday 1 November, costs $30.

The City of Gold Coast is running free outdoor movie nights in local parks from September 2026 to April 2027, and 13 of them are listed from Friday 30 October 2026 to Saturday 17 April 2027. The next one is Hotel Transylvania at Runaway Bay Cricket Club this Friday.

The Pan Pacific Masters Games run on the Gold Coast from 5 to 15 November 2026, and the official site lists a page for each of 41 sports with its days, times and venue. Swimming is at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre from Thursday 12 to Saturday 14 November, beach volleyball is at Kurrawa Beach from Saturday 7 to Thursday 12 November, and netball is at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre from Sunday 8 to Friday 13 November.

Pacific Fair says LUNE has arrived and Paddock Bakery is opening now; both stores have trading hours on the centre’s pages, but the centre gives no opening date. LUNE’s page lists 8am to 5pm every day, with a late night until 9pm on Thursdays, and Paddock Bakery’s page lists 7:30am on weekdays. Ten new stores are open at Westfield Helensvale, according to the centre’s new stores page, and the same page lists two further stores as not yet open. Six new stores are open at Westfield Coomera, according to the centre’s new stores page: Palermo Perfumes, Oscar Wylee, CK Family Lawyers, HS Brothers Barbers, Sandwich Chefs and Red Lock Escape Rooms. Getting Home After the Rugby League World Cup at Cbus Super Stadium, 31 October: Shuttles Run Until One Hour After the Last Game, Free Travel and Taxi Ranks (Robina, QLD)

After the Rugby League World Cup triple header at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday 31 October, free shuttle buses run from Robina bus station back to Firth Park, Burleigh Heads and Broadbeach South until one hour after the games finish. Translink lists the last game as New Zealand v Papua New Guinea (Women), starting at 4:55pm (the stadium and the tournament’s own fixture pages give 4:45pm), and it does not give a finish time, so the shuttle cut-off depends on how that game runs.
