About OZ Local Updates

OZ Local Updates is a local guide to the practical side of life in Australian cities: road closures, train, tram and bus changes, parking, and the dates when things open, close or change. We are starting with the Gold Coast, Queensland.

We focus on the questions people search for on the day. Where can I park? Is the tram running tonight? Which stop has moved? What changes from the first of the month? Each article starts with the answer, then explains the details and links to the official source so you can check it yourself.

Where our information comes from

We work from public, official sources: transport operators such as Translink and Queensland Rail, state traffic services such as QLDTraffic, local councils, state governments, and the organisers, venues and businesses involved. We do not publish phone numbers, prices, addresses or dates unless they appear on a source we link to. Read more in our editorial policy.

Our editorial team

Articles on OZ Local Updates are produced by our editorial team, organised by topic: public transport (trains, the G:link tram and buses), roads and closures, events and venues, and parking and local changes.
