OZ Local Updates exists to give accurate, practical local information. These are the rules every article follows.
Facts come from official sources
- Every article is based on public, official sources, which are linked in a Sources list at the end.
- Phone numbers, addresses, prices, dates and times are only published if they appear on a linked source. If a source does not give a phone number, we tell you where to find it rather than guessing.
- Prices include the date we checked them, for example “as of October 2026”.
- If an organiser has not yet published something, we say so and do not fill the gap with last year’s details. Where we mention a previous year, we name the year.
- We do not publish private mobile numbers or the names of private individuals.
How articles are written
Every draft is checked against the linked sources before publication, and automated checks flag any phone number, price or date that does not appear in a source.
Photos
We use real photos wherever possible, mainly from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons licences, with the photographer and licence credited. If we ever use an illustration created with AI, the caption says so.
Corrections and updates
Transport notices and event plans change. When they do, we update the article and change the “checked” date. If you see something wrong, please use our contact page and we will correct it as quickly as we can.
Independence
OZ Local Updates is independent. We are not affiliated with any transport operator, council, government agency or event organiser we write about. Advertising on this site is served by Google and does not influence what we write.
