After the Rugby League World Cup triple header at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday 31 October, free shuttle buses run from Robina bus station back to Firth Park, Burleigh Heads and Broadbeach South until one hour after the games finish. Translink lists the last game as New Zealand v Papua New Guinea (Women), starting at 4:55pm (the stadium and the tournament’s own fixture pages give 4:45pm), and it does not give a finish time, so the shuttle cut-off depends on how that game runs.
This guide uses the Translink event page and the Cbus Super Stadium and City of Gold Coast pages, read on 26 October 2026. Our guides to getting to the triple header and the bag and entry rules cover the rest of the day.
Where do the free shuttles leave from after the games?
Translink says shuttles to the match run from 11am until 2:30pm, and shuttles from the match run until one hour after the games conclude. The return shuttles leave from Robina bus station:
| Shuttle to | Robina bus station bay |
|---|---|
| Firth Park, Mudgeeraba park ‘n’ ride | Bays 5, 6 and 7 |
| Burleigh Heads Primary School (changed bus stop) | Bay 4 |
| Broadbeach South station | Bay 3 |
Translink says the shuttle buses are not operated by Translink. The Burleigh Heads stop has moved because of works on the Gold Coast Highway: the stadium says the shuttle stop is temporarily at West Burleigh Road at Stanley Street (Stop ID 300184), about 400 metres from the usual stop.

What about the Tweed Heads and Palm Beach shuttles?
Translink lists two extra shuttles to the stadium, one from Tweed Heads (corner of Bay and Wharf Streets) and one from Palm Beach (between Sixth Avenue and Palm Beach Avenue). Its page gives only the times to the match, not the return times, so we cannot say when they come back. The Tweed Heads times are listed without saying which clock they use. Tweed Heads is in New South Wales, which is on daylight saving and an hour ahead of Queensland, so check the time on the Translink page before you leave Tweed Heads.

Is the train free going home?
With a pre-purchased ticket, travel is free on regular Queensland Rail City Network trains, Kinetic buses and G:link trams, but not Airtrain or Brisbane City Council ferries. Translink says free travel begins four hours before and concludes four hours after the match, and the free period on its page starts at 8:35am. The stadium’s Getting Here page says free travel concludes with the last service of the day, and its FAQ says four hours after the event concludes. The sources differ, so treat four hours after the final game as the limit and have your ticket ready.
If you collected your ticket at the venue on the day, the stadium says you are only entitled to a free return journey, and you must be able to show a valid ticket for the free travel. Robina Station is about 350 metres south of the stadium, with a lift for people with mobility issues, according to the stadium; Translink says about 300 metres.

Are any train lines closed that weekend?
Yes. Translink lists a weekend track closure on the Ipswich/Rosewood and Springfield lines on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November. Timetabled railbuses replace trains between Boggo Road and Varsity Lakes stations. Translink says to plan your travel and to check back closer to game day to see if any extra trains are running.
Where do taxis and rideshare pick up?
The stadium lists dedicated taxi and rideshare ranks on Centreline Place. For general drop-off and pick-up, it names a designated area on the corner of Robina Town Centre Drive and Cheltenham Drive, about 500 metres from the stadium. Patrons with a Queensland Disability Parking Permit can be dropped off between Cheltenham Drive and Promethean Way. The stadium’s Cbus Super Stadium map shows these points.

What if I have a red disability parking permit?
Translink lists dedicated shuttles for red disability parking permit holders from the Firth Park park ‘n’ ride to Centreline Place at 11:50am, 1pm, 2pm and 4:15pm. Shuttles from Centreline Place back to Firth Park leave at 3pm, 4:55pm, 5:35pm and 6:40pm. You need your red permit for the return journey, and no bookings are taken.
Can I walk or cycle?
The stadium says Robina Town Centre is about 1.4 kilometres on foot. For cyclists there are bike racks on the Eastern Plaza near gates D and E. Recreational scooters, skateboards and similar are not allowed inside the stadium, so check the rules guide before you bring one.
What if I drove?
There is no public parking at the stadium for this event. The City of Gold Coast says the Robina Stadium Traffic Area is activated on event days, with two-minute parking on signed event days, and that not every street within the area is signed, so you must check whether you are parking in it. The stadium says on-the-spot fines are issued to offending motorists, and the stadium’s transport page says police issue notices and tow vehicles that are a hazard or cause a disruption to local traffic.

Who do I call?
For event tickets, Translink lists the Ticketmaster website or 13 28 49. For the stadium, it lists 5656 5500.
