Bags at Cbus Super Stadium must be smaller than 40cm x 40cm x 40cm, glass, cans and alcohol are not allowed in, and a bag larger than that goes to free cloaking at Gate A, Gate B or Gate D. This is the stadium’s general rule for events. The stadium says conditions can vary by event, and we have not found separate bag rules published for the Rugby League World Cup triple header on Saturday 31 October, so check your ticket and the event page as well.
This guide is from the stadium’s Frequently Asked Questions and Conditions of Entry pages, plus the Translink event page for the match times, all read on 26 October 2026. Our transport guide for the triple header covers shuttles, free travel and the track closures.
What time do the gates open and the games start?
Translink lists gates at 11:30am and these games on Saturday 31 October: Fiji v France (Women) at 12:35pm, New Zealand v Fiji (Men) at 2:45pm and New Zealand v Papua New Guinea (Women) at 4:55pm. The stadium’s own event page lists the games at 12:20pm, 2:30pm and 4:45pm, and its What’s On list shows gates at 11:20am. The tournament’s own fixture pages on rlwc2026.com show each match in the viewer’s time zone; converted to Queensland time they give 12:20pm, 2:30pm and 4:45pm, the same as the stadium’s page. Translink’s times are 10 to 15 minutes later, so aim to be in your seat early and check both before you go.

How big can my bag be?
The stadium says bags, backpacks and baby bags are permitted if they are smaller than 40cm x 40cm x 40cm. Larger bags have to be cloaked at the free cloaking facilities at Gate A, Gate B and Gate D, depending on the event, and the stadium advises leaving large bags at home to avoid delays. Soft eskies are allowed if they fit under your seat and are within the same size limit. Hard eskies are not allowed.
Cloaked items can be collected up to 30 minutes after the match. After that they go to the Venue Management Office for collection. The stadium also reserves the right to search any bag, esky, pram or item of clothing, and says anyone who refuses a search may be denied entry.
What food and drink can I bring?
| Item | What the stadium says |
|---|---|
| Homemade food | Allowed in a container other than glass |
| Food or drinks from commercial outlets | Not allowed |
| Water | Allowed in a bottle with an unbroken factory seal, up to 1.25L; empty bottles can be filled at the water stations |
| Tea and coffee | Allowed in a thermos |
| Other liquids | Not allowed |
| Alcohol | Not allowed; it is a condition of the liquor licence |
| Ice bricks | Not allowed, frozen or otherwise; gel packs are fine |

Can I leave and come back in?
Yes. Pass Out Gates sit next to all the main entry gates on event day. Keep your event ticket so it can be scanned out and back in. If you leave with a bag, you have to re-enter through the bag check stations. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the stadium or within 5 metres of an entry point, except in a designated smoking area.
What is banned?
The Conditions of Entry list items that must not be brought in, at the venue’s discretion. These include:
- aerosol cans, glass bottles and containers, cans, flares, fireworks, smoke bombs, laser pointers and selfie sticks;
- knives and weapons of any description;
- loud hailers, megaphones and musical instruments of any nature, including horns, whistles and drums, unless approved;
- anything that could be thrown or create litter, such as streamers, confetti and inflatable items;
- recreational bicycles, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards and similar;
- drones and other remotely piloted flying devices, without prior management authorisation;
- animals, except certified service animals, with the certification shown at the gate.
Cameras with a lens longer than 200mm, video or audio recorders, tripods and monopods are not allowed unless venue management permits them.

Can I bring a flag or banner?
Posters, flags and banners are permitted at most events, at the discretion of stadium management and the event organiser. Items larger than 1.5m x 1.5m are not allowed unless pre-registered and approved, by emailing info@cbussuperstadium.com.au before event day. Flag poles longer than 1.5 metres or thicker than 2 centimetres, and all metal flag poles, are not allowed.
The Conditions of Entry also ban flags or signs that represent teams not competing, including national flags, as well as political messages and offensive wording. For this triple header, check which teams are on before you pack a flag: Translink lists Fiji, France, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
What if it rains?
The stadium is an outdoor, open-air facility, and seats may be exposed to the sun. An event may be delayed in adverse weather, but the stadium says that decision belongs to the event organiser, and suggests checking its social media channels. The two pages differ on umbrellas: one answer says they cannot be used inside the seating bowl or concourses, and the other says they are permitted but cannot be raised during play. Both pages recommend a jacket or poncho if rain is forecast.

What about prams, first aid and baby change?
The stadium encourages leaving prams at home. If you bring one, it must be collapsible and fit under your seat, and it has to stay there for the whole event, because prams cannot be stored in aisles or walkways. First aid stations are marked on the stadium map; baby change facilities are located throughout the concourse areas.
How do I pay inside?
The Conditions of Entry say the venue is cashless, so cash is not accepted. Your gate is shown on your ticket, and the stadium recommends downloading the ticket before you arrive and having the barcode ready to scan.
