Liverpool City Council is celebrating the city’s 216th birthday from Thursday 29 October to Saturday 7 November 2026, and the main day is the free Birthday Block Party at Bigge Park on Saturday 7 November from 10am to 3pm. The council’s program also has two free heritage walks, an open day at Collingwood House, birthday story times at six libraries and a $5 film screening at Liverpool Powerhouse.
