Freaky Friday at Warrick Lane is free and runs from 4pm to 8pm on Friday 30 October, but a visit that lasts the full four hours will outrun the 3 hour limit on the main Warrick Lane car park, so park on one of the all-day free levels at Colo Lane if you plan to stay. The times below are Sydney times, on daylight saving (AEDT).

This brief is from the City of Blacktown’s Freaky Friday event page, its Warrick Lane precinct car park page and its Colo Lane car park page, all checked on 27 October 2026.

What is on at Freaky Friday?

The City describes a night of Halloween fun for the whole family at Warrick Lane, with costumes encouraged. Its event page lists these activities and vendors:

What Listed by the City
Entertainment and activities Halloween disco, trick or treat trail, free face painting, best dressed competition, food trucks
Food vendors Loaded Baklava, Glow Fairy Floss, Crazy Potato, The Sweet Spot
Cost Free
Contact 5300 6000, events.team@blacktown.nsw.gov.au

The page does not give a running order, so it does not say when the disco starts, when the best dressed judging happens or when the trick or treat trail opens. Treat 4pm as the time to arrive, and check the City’s page on the day.

Where do I park for Freaky Friday?

The City’s event page says parking is available at the Warrick Lane car park and the Colo Lane car park. The two car parks have different rules, set out on the City’s own pages:

Warrick Lane precinct car park Colo Lane car park
Open 7am to 11pm every day 6am to 10pm every day; closed on public holidays
Time limit 3 hours on levels B1, B2 and B3 (353 public spaces) 3 hours free on levels G and GL; all day free on levels 1, 1L and 2L
Reserved Level B4 is reserved for tenants Level 2 is reserved for tenants
Height limit Vehicles under 2.2 metres Not stated on the City’s page
Fines Fines can be issued for exceeding 3 hours; number plate identification equipment records entry and exit times Infringement notices may be issued for breaches

The sums matter here. The event runs four hours, from 4pm to 8pm. If you drive into a 3 hour level at 4pm, the City’s time limit means you would need to be out by 7pm, and the City says re-entering does not restart the 3 hours. Choosing Colo Lane level 1, 1L or 2L, which the City lists as free all day, avoids the problem. Both car parks close well after the 8pm finish.

The Warrick Lane car park page says that if the car park is full when you arrive there is a 10 minute grace period to proceed to the exit. Mobility Parking Permit holders can park for more than 3 hours if the permit is displayed, and level B1 has 10 disability-only spaces. The page’s wording dates from the car park’s 2021 opening, so check the signs at the entrance. The City’s page also says vehicles can enter from Sunnyholt Road via a one-way westbound driveway to Yan Willama Road (formerly Warrick Lane), or from Main Street via the Campbell Street traffic lights and Muru Way.

Can I take the train or bus instead?

The City’s page does not give transport directions for Freaky Friday, so use the Transport for NSW Trip Planner for Blacktown. Two official facts help. First, Transport for NSW’s adult Opal fares page says an adult pays no more than $9.65 a day on Fridays, as of October 2026, on trains, buses, ferries and light rail within the Opal network. Second, the City’s Warrick Lane page says bicycle racks are provided outside Blacktown Railway Station and Westpoint Shopping Centre, so both are in the town centre.

Transport for NSW’s weekend trackwork map covers Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November, not Friday, and shows no work at Blacktown. For Friday evening, check the travel alerts page before you leave.

What else is on in Blacktown CBD that night?

The City’s Beats and Bites series also runs on Friday 30 October, from 6pm to 8pm, with free music among local restaurants and shops at Blacktown CBD, 62 Flushcombe Road. It runs again from 6pm to 8pm on Saturday 31 October, with Marissa Kate Music listed for that night. Freaky Friday’s own page lists a food market at Glenwood on Saturday 12 December as the next one. If you are heading to the Pasifika Unity Festival at Rooty Hill the next day, our Pasifika Unity Festival guide has stage times and parking.
