Only the Brisbane City shuttle runs for Brisbane Roar against Auckland FC at Suncorp Stadium on Friday 30 October 2026, free travel for ticket holders starts at 3:00pm, and kick-off is at 7:00pm. The Ipswich/Rosewood and Springfield lines also lose their trains from 11:30pm that night, which matters if you head home late from Milton.

The match is Round 3 of the 2026-27 Isuzu UTE A-League Men season and a Suncorp Stadium Members redemption event, according to the stadium. This guide uses Translink’s event transport page, the stadium’s event page and Translink’s weekend track closure notice, checked on Friday 23 October 2026. Translink’s page for the 23 October game against Perth Glory lists the same shuttle arrangement, which we covered in our Roar v Perth Glory guide.

Which shuttle runs, and what do I use instead?

From Shuttle Translink’s suggestion
Brisbane City Regular intervals from 5pm until 6:50pm, from King George Square Use the city shuttle
Carindale Not operating Route 222 to King George Square, then the city shuttle on Ann Street
Chermside Not operating Route 333 to King George Square, then the city shuttle on Ann Street
Eight Mile Plains / Upper Mount Gravatt Not operating Metro M1 to King George Square, then the city shuttle on Ann Street
The Gap Not operating Route 385 to Given Terrace stop 5, Paddington, then walk to the stadium

The return shuttle runs one hour after the game ends and leaves from the Southern Plaza shuttle bus stop.

What happens to trains after 11:30pm?

Translink’s weekend closure notice says the Ipswich/Rosewood and Springfield lines are closed from 11:30pm on Friday 30 October to the last service on Sunday 1 November, with timetabled railbuses between Roma Street and Rosewood and Springfield Central. Milton is one of the stations named in that notice. Bikes and e-scooters are not allowed on the railbuses. Normal fares apply, and the event page does not mention the closure, so check the journey planner if you plan to travel after the match. Our closures guide lists the stations.

When does free travel apply?

A pre-purchased event ticket or a stadium membership card gives free travel on regular Brisbane City Council buses and Queensland Rail City network trains. The G:, Council ferries and Airtrain are excluded. Translink lists the free period as starting at 3:00pm, and says it runs from four hours before to four hours after the event.

Where is the nearest station?

Milton station is 500m from the stadium via a pedestrian walkway to Southern Plaza, and Roma Street station and the Roma Street busway station are 1.14km away. Regular bus stops are on Caxton Street, Given Terrace and Milton Road, and Translink asks passengers to check for bus diversions on Caxton Street.

What does the stadium ask of visitors?

  • Arrive well before kick-off to avoid queues.
  • Bring bags A3 size or smaller only.
  • Pay by card: the stadium is cashless.
  • Add your digital ticket to your phone wallet before you arrive.
  • No smoking or vaping; offenders are evicted immediately.
  • Keep noise down when leaving, out of respect for neighbours.

The stadium’s Traffic Management Plan start time was not confirmed on its page when we checked. The parking restrictions in the Lang Park Traffic Area apply on event days, and we explain how they work in our Foo Fighters getting there guide.
