For Brisbane Roar against Perth Glory at Suncorp Stadium on Friday 23 October 2026, only the Brisbane City shuttle runs, so people coming from Carindale, Chermside, Eight Mile Plains and The Gap need a regular bus to the city or the stadium instead. Free travel on Brisbane City Council buses and Queensland Rail City network trains starts at 3:00pm for ticket holders, gates open at 6:00pm and kick-off is at 7:00pm.

The match is Round 2 of the 2026-27 Isuzu UTE A-League Men season, and the stadium lists it as a Suncorp Stadium Members redemption event. The details below come from Translink’s event transport page and the Suncorp Stadium event page, checked on Thursday 22 October 2026.

Which shuttle buses are not running?

Translink says only Brisbane City shuttles operate for this event. The shuttles that usually serve bigger matches from other suburbs are not operating, and the page names a regular route to use instead:

Travelling from Shuttle What Translink suggests
Brisbane City Runs from 5pm at regular intervals until 6:50pm, from King George Square Catch the city shuttle
Carindale Not operating Route 222 to King George Square, then the Brisbane City shuttle on Ann Street
Chermside Not operating Route 333 to King George Square, then the Brisbane City shuttle on Ann Street
Eight Mile Plains / Upper Mount Gravatt Not operating Metro M1 to King George Square, then the Brisbane City shuttle on Ann Street
The Gap (Given Terrace, Paddington) Not operating Route 385 to Given Terrace stop 5, Paddington, then walk to the stadium

The return shuttle to the city starts one hour after the game ends. The city shuttle uses the Southern Plaza shuttle bus stop at the stadium. Use the journey planner for your own trip.

When is travel free?

Translink says that with a pre-purchased event ticket or a stadium membership card you can travel free to and from Suncorp Stadium on regular network-wide Brisbane City Council buses and Queensland Rail City network trains. Council ferries, the G: and Airtrain services are excluded. Translink’s timetable for this match starts the free travel period at 3:00pm, and the general rule on the page is 4 hours before and 4 hours after the event.

What should I know before I go?

  • Payment: the stadium is cashless, so bring a card.
  • Tickets: add your digital ticket to your phone before you arrive and have it ready to scan at the gate.
  • Weather: the stadium suggests a poncho or raincoat.
  • Smoking and vaping: not allowed inside, and offenders are evicted immediately.
  • Parking: the stadium calls itself a public transport destination, and its parking restrictions apply on event days in the Lang Park Traffic Area; see our Foo Fighters getting there guide for how those 15-minute limits work.
