Accor Stadium recommends public transport: the closest station is Olympic Park, a 5-minute walk from the stadium, according to the stadium’s own getting-here page. If you drive, the stadium recommends pre-booking parking, and casual parking at Sydney Olympic Park is $8 per hour up to a maximum of $40 per day, as of October 2026.

The stadium describes itself as just 30 minutes from the Sydney CBD and 15 minutes from Parramatta. Whether transport is included in your ticket depends on the event, so check the event page first. This guide sets out the usual options using the stadium’s getting here page, the Sydney Olympic Park Authority’s parking page and its transport page, all read on Thursday 22 October 2026.

Is public transport included in my ticket?

It varies by event. The stadium says travel is included in the ticket for Bulldogs and Rabbitohs matches, and that other events may also include transport, so check Transport for NSW or the event page. The Sydney Olympic Park Authority says integrated ticketing for train and bus travel is included with specified major events at the Park, and to check your ticket conditions. Our guide to the BIGBANG concert on 31 October shows what one event includes.

How do I get there by train?

The closest station is Olympic Park, and the stadium says it is a short 5-minute walk away. For comparison, Transport for NSW’s page for the 31 October concert describes the walk via Olympic Boulevard as about 10 minutes, so allow for either. You can catch a train from Lidcombe direct to Olympic Park. The stadium says these run every 10 to 20 minutes on weekdays and every 10 minutes during events. The Sydney Olympic Park Authority says trains between Olympic Park and Lidcombe run every ten minutes on weekdays.

For selected major events, additional express and limited-stop train services operate from Central and western line stations. Travel on trains, metro or light rail may be included in your ticket, and each event page has the details.

Which buses and ferries serve Olympic Park?

  • Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Strathfield via Sydney Olympic Park.
  • Route 526 runs from Rhodes to Burwood via the Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf.
  • Route 533 runs from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Rhodes and North Ryde.

For selected major events, the stadium says Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses run on multiple routes from around the Sydney area to Olympic Park and back. The Sydney Olympic Park Authority says five bus routes regularly serve the Park, with connections to Newington, Lidcombe, Burwood, Strathfield, Parramatta, Rhodes, Top Ryde and Chatswood, and that ferries operate between the Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf, the City and Parramatta.

Should I pre-book parking?

Yes, if you plan to drive on an event day. The stadium recommends pre-booking, ideally 7 to 10 working days in advance through Sydney Olympic Park, and says that on major event days, if you have not pre-booked, it strongly recommends you do not drive because car parks may be full by the time you arrive. The Sydney Olympic Park Authority gives these booking rules:

  • Pre-booked tickets cannot be purchased on the same day as the event; the pre-book system closes at 11:59pm the day before.
  • Bookings are only permitted within Australia. If you are overseas, do not continue with the booking, and switch off any VPN.
  • You need to show your parking confirmation barcode at the gate, printed or on a phone. If no confirmation email arrives within 15 minutes, check your junk folder, then email parking@sopa.nsw.gov.au with your booking reference.
  • Parking ticket purchases are final and cannot be cancelled once confirmed. Refunds for a cancelled event can be requested before the advertised gate opening time and may take up to 14 business days.

Mobility Parking Scheme permit holders can pre-book their space with Sydney Olympic Park and should display the permit to avoid a fine. The Authority says the town centre has over 300 accessible and mobility car parking spaces.

What does casual parking cost?

If you cannot pre-book, casual parking in the Authority’s car parks is $8 per hour up to a maximum of $40 per day. Pay at the machines in the car park before you exit. Pay-and-display street parking is also $8 per hour up to $40 per day along Herb Elliot Avenue, Dawn Fraser Avenue and Showground Road. Free time-limited street spaces exist in the town centre, including along Olympic Boulevard, Murray Rose Avenue, Dawn Fraser Avenue, Figtree Drive, Herb Elliot Avenue, Showground Road, Grand Parade and Parkview Drive. Street parking may not always be available during major events because of road closures, so check the interactive map.

Where do taxis and rideshare go?

The stadium says a taxi rank is near the Novotel hotel on Olympic Boulevard, within walking distance. Rideshare and hire car passengers can be dropped off and picked up on Dawn Fraser Avenue. During major events, road closures may be in effect and traffic around the stadium will be heavier than normal, so allow extra travel time and check for closures and exclusion zones for your event before you travel by rideshare.

What about cycling and walking?

The Sydney Olympic Park Authority says there are 35km of cycleways at the Park and over 50 bike racks, and a bike hire option. There is an NRMA charging station at 9 Murray Rose Avenue for electric vehicles.
