Yes, Saturday 14 November from 5pm to 9pm in Paul Keating Park, and again on Saturday 12 December. Entry is free, and the council page lists the event as a monthly international food market with live music, a puppet show and giant bubbles for children. The line-up is not published for this date. When are the Bankstown Miniature Train Rides?

The Bankstown Steam Locomotive Society runs public days on the second Saturday of every month, weather permitting, and 14 November is the second Saturday of November 2026. The tourism site gives 10:30am to 2:30pm. The society has a 5-inch gauge railway at Ruse Park and Hoskins Reserve, and asks a $4 donation per ride. Because the running depends on the weather, there is no fixed guarantee.

Are the Panania Village Markets on?

They run on the second Saturday of every month from 8:30am to 1:30pm at Panania Library and Knowledge Centre on Anderson Avenue, so yes, on 14 November. The tourism site lists arts and crafts, jewellery, candles, plants, books, records, pet treats, children’s clothing and homemade goods, and says that every dollar spent supports the Rotary Club of Padstow’s community projects.

What is Bankstown Markets on Sunday?

It is a weekly market, open every Sunday from 8am to 2pm, which the tourism site says was established in 1966. It lists fresh produce, second-hand items, tools, plants, toys and multicultural food, and says it is wheelchair accessible. The site gives the address as Eldridge Road, Condell Park, and names Bankstown City Paceway as the venue. It gives no entry price or parking details, and says to contact the paceway by email for details. We are not giving a parking suggestion because the site does not.

Can I still get tickets for Gypsy?

The council lists seven performances; the last three are on this weekend: Saturday 14 November at 1:30pm and 7:30pm, and Sunday 15 November at 1:30pm. The theatre’s page lists adult tickets at $56 and concession, student, child and group (8 or more) tickets at $50 each, plus a booking fee whose amount it does not publish. Online sales close two hours before each show and the box office opens one hour before. Our Gypsy guide covers parking and the walk from Bankstown station.

What else repeats every week?

The council’s What’s On page also lists the Cooks River parkrun every Saturday at 8am, with more information on parkrun.com/au/cooksriver. The rest of the council’s list is mostly library sessions, seniors’ groups and children’s activities with weekly times, which you can filter by suburb on the council’s site.

What do the pages say about getting there?

The tourism pages for the markets and the train rides refer visitors to transportnsw.info to plan a trip. The pages do not give station or walking times for Panania, Condell Park or Ruse Park. The council lists Paul Keating Park at 69 The Mall, Bankstown, and the theatre at 80 Rickard Road, Bankstown.
