Guns N’ Roses play Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville on Wednesday 2 December 2026, with gates at 5:00pm and the event start at 6:00pm, and the stadium has not yet published the event-day plan. Ticketmaster is the only authorised seller, and the stadium says it has limited event day parking on site.

This guide uses the stadium’s pages for the concert and for getting to the venue, Translink’s event transport list and the City of Townsville’s stadium event parking page, all read on Saturday 7 November 2026. Townsville is on Queensland time (UTC+10, no daylight saving), so every time below is Queensland time. The stadium’s page for this concert says only that event-specific information will become available “as planning advances”, so the times and rules for the day are what it has published for the venue in general plus the concert details below.

What time do the gates open and the show start?

Time What the stadium lists
5:00pm Gates open
To be confirmed Airbourne
6:00pm Start time (event start)
Not published Guns N’ Roses set time, end of show, venue closing time

The stadium’s event page lists “Gates Open 5:00pm”, Airbourne with its time marked to be confirmed, and “Start time (event start) 6:00pm”, and gives no other times. It does not say whether the 6:00pm start is the first act or the headline set.

Where do I buy tickets and who can go on the floor?

The stadium says Ticketmaster is the only authorised ticket partner for this event and sends buyers to Ticketmaster for availability, prices and purchase. The limit is 10 tickets per transaction. The stadium notes there will be a ticket suppression for the event, which it does not explain, and a handling fee from $6.35 per transaction applies, plus a delivery fee that may apply depending on the delivery mode you choose. Premium hospitality packages are at the expressions of interest stage.

Ticket type What the stadium says
General admission Standing, front and rear; you must be 12 or older
Reserved seating Seated
Age rule All ages event; everyone, including minors and babies, needs a valid full-price ticket

The stadium adds that, as a concert, the event includes loud music and special effects over an extended period and may not suit infants and young children, which it asks buyers to weigh before buying tickets for them.

Can I park at the stadium?

The stadium’s parking page says it has limited event day parking on site and points drivers to its Getting Here page. The car park off Pride Close for days outside major events is private, and the stadium says it is not available to the general public.

The City of Townsville’s stadium event parking page says Dean Street Carpark is closed from 2pm on stadium event days, with vehicles to be removed before 2pm or risk being towed at the owner’s expense. The council’s page does not name this concert, and it was last read for us on 26 October. The stadium’s parking page calls the same car park free all day, but that line sits in its function parking section.

On-street parking in the Stadium Event Restricted Parking Areas is regulated from one hour before until one hour after the advertised start time of an event at the stadium, which for this concert is 6:00pm. Fines are issued for staying longer than the permitted time without a registered permit, and residents can get permits under the council’s scheme.

Option What the official pages say
On-site spaces Limited event day parking
Dean Street Carpark Closed from 2pm on event days (council)
Surrounding streets Regulated from one hour before to one hour after the advertised start time
Lou Litster Park A free park and ride shuttle may run, pending event requirements

Will there be a park and ride shuttle?

It may. The stadium’s Getting Here page says there “may be a FREE Park and Ride Shuttle Bus Service running from Lou Litster Park”, pending event requirements, and asks you to check the event page for operating times. Access to Lou Litster Park is via Charters Towers Road onto Brodie Street, and the drop-off at the stadium is closest to Gate D, about 150m away. Translink’s shuttle page says park ‘n’ ride shuttle buses operate before and after selected events, with the post-event departure stop outside Gate C. We found no times for this concert, and Translink’s event transport list on 7 November had no page for it.

Can I walk, and what about buses, taxis and rideshare?

The stadium calls walking the best way to get to the venue, and names three routes into the precinct. Lowths Bridge on Stanley Street is closed before and during events because of pedestrian traffic, according to the council, and the stadium has not yet given a closure time for this concert.

  • Lowths Bridge, about 250m to Gate A.
  • Victoria Street Bridge onto the Central Park Boardwalk, about 700m to Gate A.
  • Little Fletcher Pedestrian Bridge, about 600m to Gate E.
Way in Where it drops you Distance the stadium gives
Scheduled Translink bus Ogden Street bus hub About 550m to Gate A
Rideshare and private drop-off Dean Street Car Park side of Morey Street, pending event requirements About 500m to Gate A
Taxi rank Central Park side of Dean Street, pending event requirements About 300m to Gate A
Charter bus drop-off (up to 22 seats) Inside Dean Street Car Park, entered from Rooney Street About 500m to Gate A
Private and charter bus parking Central Park side of Dean Street; booking required About 400m to Gate A

The rideshare zone, taxi rank and bus parking are all worded as “pending event requirements”, so none is promised for this concert. If you cycle, there are two bike racks: the north rack near the Jonathan Thurston statue and the south rack in the plaza nearest Gate F. The stadium spells his name “Johnathan” on its page.

What can I bring in?

The stadium’s event page for this concert gives no bag or bottle rule yet. Its general conditions of entry, read on 7 November, say the venue is cashless and that these are not allowed:

  • Aerosol cans, glass bottles, glassware, glass containers, cans, flares, selfie sticks, fireworks and laser pointers.
  • All metal flag poles, and other flag poles greater than 1.5m in length and 2cm in diameter.
  • Hard eskies, and soft eskies, bags or items larger than 40cm by 40cm by 40cm; soft eskies must fit under your seat.
  • Drones, unless management has authorised them in advance.

Water in a bottle with an unbroken factory seal (up to 1.25L) and tea or coffee in a thermos are allowed under those general rules, and so are empty water bottles to fill at the designated water stations. Umbrellas are allowed but must not be opened or raised in seating or concourse areas. Smoking and vaping are banned anywhere in the venue and within 5 metres of an entry point, except in designated smoking areas. The stadium can search any bag, esky or pram, and anyone who refuses can be denied entry. The stadium says event-specific rules will appear on the event page.

What if I need accessible parking or a quiet space?

The stadium says a limited number of accessible parking spaces are available on a pre-booked basis for event days. The application form goes live at 8am on the Monday before a major event, which for a Wednesday 2 December concert is Monday 30 November. Applying does not guarantee a space, and the stadium runs an accessible parking mailing list for people who miss out. A dedicated accessible pick-up and drop-off zone is on Pride Close, closest to Gates D and E, about 200m from Gate E.

The park and ride shuttle, if it runs, is accessibility friendly, with accessible parking closest to its pick-up point at Lou Litster Park. The stadium also lists accessible transfer points where staff help with wheelchair transfers, a quiet room with sensory games and tactile wall panels, and a Changing Places facility at the north-west corner of the Level 1 concourse near Aisle 113. For other questions, ring the stadium on (07) 4722 7729.
