Hume City Council’s Carols by Candlelight returns on Saturday 5 December 2026 at Craigieburn Anzac Park, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, with pre-event activities from 5:30pm. Victoria is on daylight saving time then, so these are Melbourne local times. The park has street parking and parking at Splash and Sprint, and bus stops sit on Aitken Boulevard and Central Park Avenue.
This guide uses the council’s Christmas in Hume page and its Craigieburn Anzac Park page, both read on 7 November 2026, plus the Craigieburn Central shopping centre’s own getting-here, trading-hours and services pages. The council has not yet published a performer line-up, a traffic plan or a parking plan for the night, so those are listed under what is not confirmed.

What is Craigieburn Anzac Park, and how do I find it?
The council’s Craigieburn Anzac Park page describes a $48.5 million park of more than 12 hectares, bordered by Aitken Boulevard, Marathon Boulevard, Windrock Avenue and Central Park Avenue. It is across the road from Craigieburn Central and a short walk from the Hume Global Learning Centre – Craigieburn. The page says the park has hosted major events including Hume Carols by Candlelight and the Craigieburn Festival.
The facilities the council lists are Livvi’s Place Inclusive Playground, Splash Aqua Park and Leisure Centre, Sprint Athletics Centre, the Craigieburn Anzac Memorial, event spaces and parkland, walking and cycling paths, sheltered BBQ facilities, picnic tables and water fountains.
Where can I park near Anzac Park?
The council’s page says street parking is available, along with parking at Splash and Sprint. It gives no number of spaces, no time limits and no event-night parking plan. Any notice for the night would appear on the Christmas in Hume page.
Craigieburn Central, across the road, has its own Getting Here page. It lists which entrance suits which store: Aldi and Woolworths are reached via Lygon Drive; Big W via Craigieburn Road or via Aitken Boulevard and Central Park Avenue into Main Street; Coles via Lygon Drive or via Aitken Boulevard and Central Park Avenue into Main Street; and Kmart via Aitken Boulevard and Central Park Avenue into Main Street. That page is about shopping trips. It does not say whether the centre’s car park is open to carols visitors on 5 December.

Can I take a bus or a train?
The council says bus stops are located on Aitken Boulevard or Central Park Avenue. Craigieburn Central’s page says the centre can be reached by the 529 bus, with stops on Lygon Drive and Central Park Avenue, and that Craigieburn train station is about 2km from the centre. Neither page gives an evening timetable; the Public Transport Victoria journey planner is the place for times. The centre also says local taxis and ride-share providers service it.
| Option | What the official pages say |
|---|---|
| Bus | Stops on Aitken Boulevard and Central Park Avenue (council); route 529 stops on Lygon Drive and Central Park Avenue (Craigieburn Central) |
| Train | Craigieburn station is about 2km from Craigieburn Central |
| Taxi or ride-share | Local taxis and ride-share providers service the centre |
