Noosa Parade is closed from 4:00am to 3:00pm on Sunday 1 November 2026 for the Garmin Noosa Triathlon, and the roads around Noosa Heads, Noosaville and Tewantin close in stages from about 4:30am. The official road closure schedule runs from Thursday 29 October to Monday 2 November, and the car park schedule starts earlier, with the Noosa Woods car park closed from 10pm on Sunday 18 October.
This guide is built from the organisers’ own Changed Traffic Conditions page, its road closure and car park closure PDFs, the Event Shuttle Services page and the event schedule, all read on Monday 26 October. The organisers say the closures are subject to change. Times are Queensland time, with no daylight saving. The race itself is covered in our race day schedule and cut-off times guide.
Which roads close on Sunday 1 November?
Sunday has the longest list. The official road closure schedule gives these start and finish times:
| Road | Section | Closed from | Reopens |
|---|---|---|---|
| Noosa Parade | Noosa Drive to Witta Circuit | 4:00am | 3:00pm |
| Noosa Parade | Witta Circuit to Weyba Road | 4:30am | 2:30pm |
| Noosa Drive | Shuttle bus and local traffic only | 4:30am | 11:30am |
| Hastings Street | Hastings Street West at the Noosa Drive roundabout | 5:30am | 11:30am |
| Weyba Road | Mary Street to Noosa Parade | 4:30am | 2:15pm |
| Weyba Road | Noosa Parade to Gympie Terrace | 4:30am | 2:15pm |
| Weyba Road | Mary Street to Leslie Drive | 5:45am | 2:15pm |
| Gympie Terrace | Weyba Road to Hilton Terrace | 5:00am | 1:30pm |
| Howard Street | Gympie Terrace to Noosa Parade | 5:00am | 1:30pm |
| Eumundi Road | Gibson Road to Hilton Terrace | 5:00am | 1:30pm |
| Hilton Terrace | Eumundi Road to Ernest Street, Tewantin | 5:00am | 1:30pm |
| Hilton Esplanade | Closed off at Hilton Terrace and Sydney Street | 5:00am | 1:30pm |
| Memorial Avenue, Doonella Street, Sidoni Street, Poinciana Avenue, Butler Street | Tewantin | 5:30am | 1:15pm |
| Cooroy-Noosa Road | Butler Street to Beckmans Road, and Beckmans Road to Sunrise Road | 5:30am | 1:00pm |
| Cooroy-Noosa Road | Sunrise Road to Swift Drive | 5:30am | 1:00pm |
| Gyndier Drive and Sunrise Road | Gyndier Drive from Cooroy-Noosa Road to Sunrise Road, and Sunrise Road from Gyndier Drive to Cooroy-Noosa Road | 5:30am | 1:00pm |
The schedule marks several lines with an asterisk (Noosa Parade, Weyba Road, Howard Street and Cooroy-Noosa Road) but the text we could read does not explain the mark, so ring the event line on 1300 761 384 if one of those roads is on your route. The key point is the order: Noosa Parade and the shuttle road, Noosa Drive, are shut first, the Tewantin side closes by 5:30am, and everything has reopened by 3:00pm.

What closes before Sunday?
| Day | Road | Closed |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday 29 October | Noosa Parade, Noosa Heads Lions Park roundabout to Noosa Drive | 6:00am to 6:30am |
| Friday 30 October | Gyndier Drive, Cooroy-Noosa Road to Sunrise Road | 6:30am to 8:30am |
| Friday 30 October | Park Road, Hastings Street to Mitti Street | 7:00am to 9:00am |
| Saturday 31 October | Gympie Terrace, Hilton Terrace, Mill Street and Hilton Esplanade, Robert Street to Ernest Street (local access to the Yacht Club kept) | 6:30am to 10:00am |
| Saturday 31 October | Noosa Parade, Noosa Drive to Ravenwood Drive (no access to the Sofitel, Sebel and Bay Village car parks) | 12:00pm to 6:00pm |
| Saturday 31 October | Witta Circuit (no access from Noosa Parade) | 1:15pm to 6:00pm |
| Monday 2 November | Noosa Parade eastbound lane, Belli Street to Garth Prowd Bridge | 6:30am to 7:30am |
| Monday 2 November | Noosa Parade westbound lane, Garth Prowd Bridge to Belli Street | 7:30am to 8:30am |
The Saturday afternoon closure of Noosa Parade overlaps with the schedule’s Saturday listings of the Australian Open Criterium (women at 2:15pm, men at 4:00pm) and the ASICS Noosa Bolt at 5:15pm, all on Noosa Parade. The schedule also lists the Noosa Superkidz Triathlon and the Tingirana Noosa Special Triathlon at Chaplin Park in Noosaville that morning.
Where can I park, and which car parks are closed?
The organisers say parking close to the event area is limited, because transition is in one of the main parking areas of Noosa, and to allow plenty of time. They name three designated all-day parking areas, signed with blue parking signs, with event crew or volunteers directing drivers to them from Saturday afternoon onwards. Follow the signs from Noosa Heads and David Low Way. The page text does not name the three areas, but they are marked on the parking, spectators and bus map, which also says standard parking restrictions apply.
The car park closure schedule lists these full or partial closures:
| Car park | Closure | From | Until |
|---|---|---|---|
| Noosa Woods | Full | 10:00pm Sunday 18 October | 9:00am Friday 6 November |
| Noosa Parade | Full | 10:00pm Sunday 25 October | 5:00pm Monday 2 November |
| Noosa Lions Park | 20% closed from 10:00pm Thursday 22 October, then full | 10:00pm Sunday 25 October (full) | 12:00pm Tuesday 3 November |
| Noosa Transit Centre Car Park A (broadcast compound) | Full | 10:00pm Tuesday 27 October | 5:00pm Monday 2 November |
| Noosa Transit Centre Car Park B (Medical B) | Full | 10:00pm Thursday 29 October | 5:00pm Monday 2 November |
| Noosa Surf Club | Partial (50%) on several days, full on some | Full: 10:00pm Thursday 29 October to 6:30pm Friday 30 October, and 3:30am to 12:00pm Sunday 1 November | 50% closed until 5:00pm Monday 2 November |
| Hastings Street, Police Beat car park | Swim chute side full; bag drop side full; top side 15% | From 10:00pm Wednesday 28 October (swim chute side), 10:00pm Thursday 29 October (bag drop side) | 12:00pm Monday 2 November |
| Noosa Drive taxi rank and the spaces opposite (shuttle bus stop area) | 4 spaces each | 10:00pm Tuesday 27 October | 3:00pm Sunday 1 November |
| Main Beach Groyne | Full | 5:00am Friday 30 October | 9:00am Friday 30 October |
| Noosa Parade, between Belli Street and Garth Prowd Bridge | Closed | 11:30am Saturday 31 October | 9:30am Monday 2 November |
Two entries matter on race morning. The Noosa Drive athlete drop-off, between Century 21 and the Reef Hotel, runs from 3:00am to 3:00pm on Sunday, and the schedule marks the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club car park as a stop, drop and go point for the Special Triathlon from 5:00am to 10:00am on Saturday. The map PDF shows a “no athlete drop beyond this point” line, so drop-offs end before the transition area.

When do the courtesy shuttle buses run?
The event runs courtesy shuttle buses on four days. The official pages do not agree on every time and stop name, so the table below shows the Event Shuttle Services page, with the differences set out after it.
| Day | Route | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday 29 October | Noosa Junction Station to Noosa Heads Station | 6:00am to 7:00pm |
| Friday 30 October | Sunshine Beach Anglican Church via Noosa Junction Station to Noosa Heads Station | 6:00am to 8:00pm |
| Saturday 31 October | Sunshine Beach Anglican Church via Noosa Junction Station to Noosa Heads Station | 6:00am to 7:00pm |
| Sunday 1 November | Noosa Junction Station to Noosa Heads Station (wheelchair accessible) | 4:00am to 7:00pm |
| Sunday 1 November | Sunshine Beach Anglican Church via Noosa Junction Station to Noosa Heads Station | 4:00am to 3:00pm |
| Sunday 1 November | AFL Grounds, Weyba Road to Noosa Heads Station | 4:00am to 6:00am |
| Sunday 1 November | Noosa Heads Station back to AFL Grounds, Weyba Road | 1:00pm to 3:30pm |
The differences between the official pages: the Race Day Info page gives the Sunshine Beach bus on Sunday as ending at 3:00pm and the return to the AFL grounds as 1:00pm to 3:00pm, while the event schedule gives 1:15pm to 3:00pm, and the map PDF says the Sunshine Beach bus runs until 3:30pm. The event schedule lists Friday and Saturday shuttles from the Noosa Junction Transit Centre only, and it names the drop point as Noosa Drive next to Avis Hire rather than Noosa Heads Station. The pages do not say whether Noosa Heads Station and the Noosa Drive stop next to Avis Hire are the same stop, so check the printed bus stop sign on the day.
The map shows the stop at Noosa Junction as about a 10 minute walk to the venue. The event also points visitors to the Translink journey planner, and says the Sun bus stops within 500 metres of the venue.
Can I take the ferry instead?
Yes. The Event Shuttle Services page says Noosa Ferry will run early morning express services from Pelican Boat Hire (Ferry Stop 3) in Noosaville direct to Hastings Street, Sofitel Jetty (Stop 7). The page says bookings are open, while the Race Day Info page says bookings open four weeks before the event, so book through the Noosa Ferry and Cruise Co rather than turning up. The ferry page does not give times or prices.

How do I get there from the airport or Brisbane?
The organisers’ Getting There page says Sunshine Coast Airport is about a 30 minute drive from Noosa Heads, and that Brisbane is about 100 km to the south. It names the Con-x-ion bus service for transfers between Brisbane, Sunshine Coast Airport and Noosa accommodation. For the public bus from the airport, see our Sunshine Coast Airport public bus guide.
