The CommBank Matildas play Colombia at GMHBA Stadium in Geelong on Wednesday 2 December 2026, with kick-off at 7:35pm, and the stadium says there is no general public parking at its major events, so the train to South Geelong Station, 450 metres away, or a bus along Moorabool Street is the plan to start from.

This guide collects what the official sources say so far: the stadium’s event page, its Getting here page and venue FAQs, its conditions of entry, and Football Australia’s announcement of the match. The stadium has not yet published match-specific details such as gate times, so those are listed as not yet confirmed rather than guessed. For a longer walk-through of the venue, see the guide to getting to GMHBA Stadium (Kardinia Park).

Football Australia says it is the Matildas’ first game in Victoria since December 2024, the third time the national team has played in Geelong, and the first time it has faced South American opposition in the city. It describes the series as part of the team’s preparation for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027.

How do I buy tickets to Matildas v Colombia?

Through Ticketmaster. Football Australia’s announcement says tickets are available at Ticketmaster, and gave these on-sale times, all now past:

Sale Time
FA+ Members exclusive presale 12pm AEDT, Friday 9 October 2026
Football Australia account holders’ presale 12pm AEDT, Monday 12 October 2026

The stadium’s venue FAQs say major events use a ticketing provider, either Ticketmaster or Ticketek, and that you should read which agency has been engaged. They warn that tickets bought from another service, such as Viagogo, eBay, Gumtree or scalpers, may be fake, void or cancelled. Ticketmaster is listed on 13 61 00. The FAQs also say event-day tickets can be bought at Gate 1 (Polly Farmer), Gate 5 (Bernie Smith) and Gate 13 (Bob Davis), with gate sales updated on the event page. Whether any tickets will be left to sell at the gates for this match is not yet published.

The FAQs say to download your ticket to your mobile phone before arriving, to avoid delays, and that GMHBA Stadium is now a cashless venue, so bring a card or phone for food and drink.

Can I park at GMHBA Stadium for the Matildas?

Not as a general visitor, going by the stadium’s own wording for its major events. Its venue FAQs say there is no general public parking available for events. Australian Disability Parking permit holders will have access to limited parking at Gate B6. The Getting here page says free parking is available throughout the Kardinia Park precinct on non-major event days, and for major event days it says to see the event-specific information. The Matildas page has not yet added any parking information.

How do I get there by train?

The Getting here page says Geelong is approximately one hour from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station, with Geelong Railway Station 1.8 kilometres north of the stadium and South Geelong Station 450 metres to the east. It adds that V/Line may provide additional services on major event days and tells patrons to check the V/Line and Public Transport Victoria websites. No extra services for 2 December have been announced as of 7 November 2026; V/Line’s service changes page is the place they would appear.

On fares, the stadium’s FAQs say public transport is free in Victoria until 31 May and that fares will be halved for the remainder of 2026. That wording appears to have been written before the end of May.
