Chadstone says it offers free parking, and the biggest car park, Car Park A off Dandenong Road, has six levels and over 3,500 spots. Chadstone’s pages also name a few exceptions. This guide sets out Chadstone’s own car park list, the bus routes, the free Federation Square shuttle and the opening hours up to Sunday 29 November, as checked on Saturday 7 November 2026.
The centre is at 1341 Dandenong Road, Chadstone, and says it is only 17km from Melbourne’s CBD and a 45-minute drive from Melbourne’s international and domestic airport at Tullamarine. It also says it is conveniently located on the way to destinations such as Phillip Island’s Penguin Parade and the Mornington Peninsula.
Is parking free at Chadstone?

Mostly yes, according to Chadstone’s Getting here page: “At Chadstone, we offer free parking and the convenience of Valet Parking.” The page adds that the car parks are labelled by letter, that all of them have family friendly special needs spaces and lifts, and that select pram parking and 90 minutes parking zones are available for a more convenient shopping experience.
The car parking page describes the paid exceptions. In Car Park C, Fresh Food Parking on level P1 has the first two hours free, with paid parking after two hours. In Car Park E, Fresh Food Parking on P4 (open air car park) has the first two hours free, with paid parking after two hours. For people presenting a disability parking permit, Chadstone lists extended Fresh Food Parking with the first four hours free, with paid parking after four hours. The page does not list a dollar amount for the paid parking.
Which car park should I use?
Chadstone’s parking page gives each car park a “best for” line. This is what it says:
| Car park | Best for, per Chadstone | Notes on the page |
|---|---|---|
| Car Park A | David Jones | Accessible parking on P1 to P5; parent with pram parking on P1 to P5; AC and DC EV chargers on P1; maximum height 2.1 metres |
| Car Park B | The Social Quarter, including HOYTS and Legoland Discovery Centre | Accessible parking on P1 to P4; parent with pram parking on P1 to P3; four AC and four DC EV chargers on P1; maximum height 2.0 metres |
| Car Park C | The Market Pavilion, Aldi and Coles | Fresh Food Parking on P1, first two hours free; longer stay free and accessible parking on P2 to P5; maximum height 2.1 metres |
| Car Park D | Private commercial parking | No public access, except for weekends and public holidays |
| Car Park E | The Market Pavilion, Dining Laneway | Fresh Food Parking on P4, first two hours free; Woolworths Direct to Boot on P1; accessible parking on P1 and P4; EV chargers on P4 outside Chemist Warehouse |
| Car Park F | Myer | Accessible parking on P1 and P2; maximum height 2.1 metres |
The page adds that accessible parking with additional height clearances is available on Car Park C P1 or other outdoor car parks. For accessible parking locations it refers you to the centre map.

What are the rules on the upper levels of Car Park C?
The getting here page says Car Park C off Warrigal Road is open with five levels, direct access to the centre and an additional 350 car spaces. It points drivers who want the largest option to Car Park A off Dandenong Road, six levels and over 3,500 spots, and says “Shop early to beat the crowds.”
The parking page also lists changes on the upper levels of Car Park C: P3 is now the designated parking level for staff and retailers. P4 is reserved for OMR tenants Monday to Friday, with public access available from 10:00am daily. P5 is reserved for OMR tenants Monday to Friday and closed to the public during these days. On Saturday and Sunday, both P4 and P5 are open to the public during trade hours.
Is there valet parking?
Yes. Chadstone’s valet parking is presented by Lexus. The page says you drive straight up to the door, hand over your keys and the Valet team take care of the rest. It is located on Level P1 of Car Park A, near David Jones, accessible off Chadstone Road. The page gives no price for the service, and it says that if you cannot find your car, the team is there to help.
Which buses go to Chadstone?

Chadstone says buses arrive and depart all day, every day, with over 900 buses per week coming from 11 suburban bus routes. Its page names these:
| From | Route to catch, per Chadstone |
|---|---|
| Oakleigh Station | 903 direct to Chadstone; or 742, 800, 802, 804 or 862 towards Chadstone; or 900 towards Caulfield |
| Murrumbeena Station | 822 towards Chadstone |
| Holmesglen Station | 624 or 903 towards Chadstone |
Chadstone calls Oakleigh Station the quickest option, with buses departing every few minutes on weekdays and at least every 10 minutes on weekends. It says Chadstone is in Zone 1 and 2 of the metropolitan fare system, and that limited services operate on Sundays and public holidays. The page also carries a sentence about extra services from Oakleigh station to Chadstone “from now until January 2025”, which has passed, so we have not relied on it. For timetables Chadstone refers you to Public Transport Victoria.

How does the free shuttle from the city work?
The Chadstone Tourist Shuttle offers free daily transfers from Federation Square to Chadstone and return, with multiple daily departures. Chadstone’s page sets out these points:
- Departs and returns to Federation Square at Coach Bay #1, on the corner of Flinders Street and Russell Street Extension.
- At Chadstone, pick up and drop off is on the Ground Level outside the Watermans Business Centre, near the Tiffany & Co. entrance.
- Travel is complimentary. Bookings are essential on the main page and recommended in the FAQ, which says passengers without a reservation can travel if enough seats are available; each passenger needs their own seat.
- Be at the designated stop at least 10 minutes before departure; seats for booked passengers who have not boarded can be released to non-booked passengers.
- Bookings can be made for up to 10 people; a group of 10 or more should email Chadstone.
- The journey typically takes 20 to 25 minutes, but could be shorter or longer depending on traffic and road conditions.
- Children aged 15 or under cannot travel alone, and the shuttle is described as fully DDA compliant. Folded prams go in the luggage bays at the rear. Free WiFi is available on board.
The page asks you to book one trip per day in each direction, and says management reserves the right to cancel multiple bookings without notice. Departure times are in the booking tool, not on the page.

Chadstone also offers a complimentary Tourist Shopping Passport, with over 100 exclusive offers, for visitors who reside more than 50kms from Chadstone. It is collected at the Tourist Services Desk on arrival.
What about taxis and rideshare?
The main taxi rank is on the Ground Level next to the Transport Hub. If none are waiting, Chadstone says you can book a cab on 13 CABS (13 22 27) or online at 13cabs.com.au, or ask Concierge to arrange one. Rideshare points are next to the Transport Hub and next to the Tiffany & Co. entrance.
When is Chadstone open until the end of November?

The Dining Laneway is open 11am to 10pm Monday to Wednesday and Sunday, and 11am to 11pm Thursday to Saturday. The Social Quarter is listed as open daily until late. Chadstone’s Christmas page links to its extended trading hours, which is the same opening hours page.
What is still unknown?
Chadstone’s pages we read give no dollar amount for the paid parking after the free period, no price for valet parking and no shuttle departure times. They also do not say which car parks are busiest at any hour; the parking page mentions a live graph of visitation numbers, but it loads in the browser and was not part of the text we read.
