Four Halloween events on the Sunshine Coast this weekend have published times: Landsborough Museum on Friday 30 October, and Sunshine Plaza, Moffat Beach and Amaze World on Saturday 31 October, with Aussie World’s FestEvil running both nights. Only the Sunshine Plaza, Moffat Beach and Landsborough events are free. The Sunshine Coast is on Brisbane time, so every time below is Queensland time with no daylight saving. This guide uses each organiser’s own page and the Sunshine Coast Council events listing, all checked on Tuesday 27 October 2026.

What time is the free trick or treat at Sunshine Plaza?
Sunshine Plaza’s Trick or Treat page lists the event for Saturday 31 October 2026 from 1pm to 7pm at Riverwalk, in the Outdoor Dining Precinct. The centre says last registrations for the Trick or Treat Hunt close at 6:45pm, or earlier if places run out.
To join the hunt, register at the booth on the night, then follow the trail around the centre to collect treats. The centre says the hunt is limited to the first 1,000 participants aged 12 and under, everyone must register at the booth, and a wristband is needed to claim a treat from participating stores. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. There is also a Monster Mash Disco with a DJ, and the centre asks adults to dress up too.
The centre names the Red Coles Car Park, off Plaza Parade, as the best parking for the event. Its own parking page says the first 3 hours are free, and our Sunshine Plaza parking breakdown has the rates after that.

What time do the gates open for Halloween FestEvil at Aussie World?
Aussie World’s FestEvil page gives the same times for both nights, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October 2026:
| What | Time |
|---|---|
| Gates open | 5:00pm |
| Rides start | 5:30pm |
| Rides finish | 9:30pm |
| Gates close | 10:00pm |
The event page lists family Halloween entertainment, trick or treating, night rides, different scare mazes and roaming characters, with costumes encouraged. Tickets include rides, attractions and maze entry. They do not include coin-operated games, mini golf, side show alley, slime making, lockers, souvenirs, or food and drink.
The event page shows tickets from $49 while the Aussie World home page shows FestEvil from $53. Check the total at checkout. The terms are strict: all sales are final with no cancellations, refunds or date changes, and the event goes ahead in all weather. A ticket can be gifted to another guest if it is scanned only once on entry.
Entry rules from the same page: all guests go through security checks and no weapons or replica weapons are allowed. Masks must be removable on request and are not permitted on rides, and some long flowing garments and capes may not be allowed on rides. Food, drinks and eskies cannot be brought in, but water is allowed. For questions, the Visit Sunshine Coast listing gives Aussie World’s number as 5494 5444.

Is Amaze World’s Halloween night scary?
Amaze World’s Little Monsters: Trick or Treat and Dance Party is on Saturday 31 October from 5pm to 7:30pm, and the page says it is made for younger children with “no big scares”. It lists a trick-or-treat trail, a Little Monsters Dance Party, costumed characters, best-dressed prizes and a spin to win, with food and drinks available to buy.
Tickets are $30 for children and $20 for adults, and children aged 2 and under are free. The page says tickets are limited and annual pass holders save 20%. Amaze World is at 274 Tanawha Tourist Drive, Tanawha, and its Getting Here page says it is under 10 minutes from Mooloolaba and 20 minutes from Caloundra. The Visit Sunshine Coast listing gives its number as 5445 2979.
What is on at Moffat Beach, and is parking tight?
The council’s events listing for the Moffat Beach Halloween Street Party says Seaview Terrace will have live music, free face painting, kids’ entertainment, a costume parade and a trick-or-treat trail through participating local businesses. Entry is free. The listing then points to the Elm Street trick-or-treat for later, but it does not say where Elm Street is or when that starts.
The listing contradicts itself on times. Its header gives 4pm to 9pm on Saturday 31 October, while its description says 3pm to 8pm. It also says its details come from different sources and may not be up to date, so confirm the times through the link on the listing before you go. This guide could not find a separate organiser page for the Halloween edition.
Parking is the other thing to plan. The council’s Moffat Beach seawall project page, last updated on 26 October 2026, says parking is a little tighter and suggests riding a bike or taking the bus, with 50 cent fares. It also says temporary closures are in place near the Queen of Colonies car park and the playground during high-risk works. The Caloundra Chamber of Commerce page for the regular Moffat Beach street parties lists Seaview Terrace as a road closure, but nothing we found says the Halloween edition closes it.

What is on at Landsborough Museum on Friday?
Halloween at the Museum runs on Friday 30 October from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Landsborough Historical Museum, 4 Maleny Street. The council listing says it is free, registration is not required, and it is funded by the Arts and Heritage Levy. Children can trick-or-treat through the museum, with free face painting, Halloween games and a jumping castle. The Beerwah State School P&C sells a sausage sizzle, and The Night Sky exhibition is open. The listing gives the museum’s number as 5420 8600.

How do I fit more than one in?
On Saturday 31 October the times overlap in a way that suits an early start and a late finish. The Sunshine Plaza event runs from 1pm to 7pm, Moffat Beach from mid-afternoon, and both Amaze World and Aussie World have 5pm starts, so choose the ticketed night first and slot the free events around it. Aussie World has two nights, which leaves Friday free if you want to keep Saturday for the free events.
