At Joondalup Health Campus (WA), park in P1, the multi-storey public car park with more than 750 bays, entered from Shenton Avenue. Parking costs $3.20 per hour or part of an hour and is capped at $18.00 a day, according to the hospital’s own visitor pages as read on 7 November 2026. The private hospital has its own closest car park, P12, and the Emergency Department has six 15-minute bays for drop-off only.
This guide uses the three official pages the hospital publishes for visitors: parking, public transport and visitor information. The hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care and sits at the corner of Grand Boulevard and Shenton Avenue, Joondalup WA 6027. Its general enquiries number is 08 9400 9400.

Where should I park at Joondalup Health Campus?
The hospital names the car parks and what each one is for:
| Car park | What the hospital says |
|---|---|
| P1 | Multi-storey public car park with more than 750 bays; the most convenient for patients and visitors using the hospital’s public services. Uses number plate recognition. Height limit 2.2 metres. Entered from Shenton Avenue. Paid. |
| P12 | The closest car park to the private hospital. Ground level, so better suited to high vehicles. Entered from Shenton Avenue. Paid. |
| P12A | 30-minute ticketed parking (1 hour for Acrod permit holders). |
| P1A | 21 bays, 1-hour maximum stay, ticketed. For collecting a patient from the discharge lounge, or reaching the patient equipment store or pharmacy. No Acrod bays. |
| P4 | Temporarily closed for extended construction works, except 16 general bays and three Acrod bays. Reached from Regents Park Road. Pay and display ticket machine. |
Two practical points come straight from the hospital. First, P1 reads number plates and has a height limit of 2.2 metres, so a tall vehicle should use the ground-level car parks P12 or P4 instead. Second, there is no parking for trailers, caravans or RVs anywhere on the site.
How much does parking cost at Joondalup Health Campus?
The hospital lists one set of fees: $3.20 per hour or part thereof, capped at $18.00 per day. Discounts apply for Acrod permit holders, and a weekly permit for $50.00 is available for long-stay visitors. The hospital asks you to speak to its reception staff for details of the weekly permit.
The hospital publishes the hourly rate and the daily cap but no table of amounts for particular stays, so work out your own total from the rate and keep the daily cap in mind. The short-stay car parks (P1A and P12A) are ticketed, and the hospital gives their time limits but no separate fee, so check the ticket machine.

Where do I drop someone off at the Emergency Department?
There are six 15-minute car parking bays outside the Emergency Department (ED). The hospital says they are for drop-off and pick-up of ED patients only. The ED is open to the public 24 hours a day, every day, for ED presentations only.
The hospital also says the nearest parking for its new Mental Health Unit is P1.

Where are the accessible (Acrod) bays?
| Car park | Acrod bays | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| P1 | 18 paid bays | Paid parking; Acrod discount applies |
| P4 | Three pay and display bays, reached from Regents Park Road | Maximum five hours |
| P12A | Four bays | Maximum one hour |
P12 also offers Acrod parking, and both P1 and P12 are entered from Shenton Avenue. P1A has no Acrod bays.
What time can I get into the hospital?
The hospital lists these entrance hours:
| Entrance | Monday to Saturday | Sundays and public holidays |
|---|---|---|
| Hospital entrances | 5:45am to 8:00pm | 7:30am to 8:00pm |
| Mental Health Unit | 7:00am to 6:00pm | 9:00am to 6:00pm |
| Emergency Department | Open to the public 24 hours a day for ED presentations only | |
Outside those hours, the hospital says to go to the public or private hospital main entrances, the Mental Health Unit or the K Block entrances and use the intercom.
Standard visiting times are 10am to 8pm daily. For critical care areas, maternity and the day procedure unit, the hospital asks you to speak to the nursing or midwifery staff about ward-specific limits. It lists ICU and HDU visiting at 10am to 1pm and 4pm to 8pm, and CCU at 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 8pm. A maximum of two visitors are allowed per patient, including next of kin. Children may visit at the discretion of the patient and family and must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times.
Can I get to Joondalup Health Campus without a car?
Yes. The hospital’s page says Transperth trains stop at Joondalup Station on the Joondalup/Mandurah line, next to Lakeside Shopping Centre, and points to Transperth for timetables. From the station, a free CAT bus runs past the hospital on Shenton Avenue on weekdays. The hospital says the bus does not stop unless you press the bell before your stop, and that both the Red and Blue CAT routes stop at the campus.

| Route | Direction | Weekday times | Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Joondalup Red CAT | Starts and finishes at Joondalup Station, anti-clockwise via Lakeside Drive | 7:23am to 5:53pm | About every 15 minutes |
| Joondalup Blue CAT | Starts and finishes at Joondalup Station, clockwise via Lakeside Drive | 6:41am to 6:00pm | About every 15 minutes |
Neither CAT route runs on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays, so on those days you need another way to cover the distance from the station. A free-call taxi phone is at the hospital entrance; if it is in use, ask reception to arrange a taxi.
