Logan City Council’s arts team is showing the Rugby League World Cup semi-final between Australia and Samoa on a big screen at Kingston Butter Factory on Sunday 8 November, and the Final on Sunday 15 November; both nights are free, you need to register, and the venue’s own car park will be closed. Queensland has no daylight saving, so all times are Brisbane time.
This guide uses only the two LoganARTS event pages, read on 7 November 2026, plus the LoganARTS page for Logan Entertainment Centre for a phone number. Where the pages leave something out, this article says so.
When are the two screenings and what time do I need to be there?
| Semi-final: Australia v Samoa | Final | |
|---|---|---|

| Precinct opens | 4:30pm | 4pm |
| No queuing before | 4:30pm | 4pm |
| Gates open | 5:30pm | 5pm |

Times as of 7 November 2026. The semi-final page gives its kick-off as 7pm in the description and 7:05pm in the times box; the Final page gives 6:35pm in both places. If you are planning around the start of the game, take the earlier time for the semi-final.

Do I have to register, and how?
Yes. The semi-final page carries a “Register here” button, and the Final page says “Registrations open Monday 9 November, 9:30 AM” and “Limited tickets!”. Both events are free. This guide did not open the registration form, so it cannot say whether places remain for 8 November; if the button still works when you read this, register before you travel.
For the Final, set a reminder for the morning of Monday 9 November. The page warns that tickets are limited, and the semi-final may show the same pressure. Do not turn up early to wait in line: the venue says queuing is not permitted before the precinct opens, at 4:30pm on 8 November and 4pm on 15 November, so the earliest useful arrival is the opening time, not the gate time.
Can I park at Kingston Butter Factory?
No. For both nights the Kingston Butter Factory car park will be closed. The venue says drop-and-go facilities are available and encouraged, and accessible parking is available to Disability Parking Permit holders.
The Gould Adams car park opens at 4:30pm on 8 November and at 4pm on 15 November. The venue also says to expect traffic diversions around the site, that parking enforcement will be around the venue during the event, and that anyone parking locally should respect the neighbours and park responsibly. The pages point to a map for full details; this guide did not read the map image, so check it before you leave.
| Option | What the venue says |
|---|---|
| Kingston Butter Factory car park | Closed on both nights |
| Gould Adams car park | Opens 4:30pm (8 Nov) and 4pm (15 Nov) |
| Drop and go | Available and encouraged |
| Accessible parking | For Disability Parking Permit holders |
| Street parking | Park responsibly; enforcement will be around the venue |

What can I bring, and what is banned?
The event runs in “picnic mode”: you find a spot on the lawn. The venue’s list is specific.
| You can bring | You cannot bring |
|---|---|
| Picnic rugs and blankets | Deck chairs, recliners, bean bags or blow-up furniture |
| Standard-sized, low-back camping chairs | Tables, gazebos or oversized picnic setups |
| Sealed non-alcoholic drinks and your own food | Glass bottles and alcoholic drinks |
| Empty water bottles to fill at the Water Wagon | BBQs, open flames or heating devices; large eskies |
| A poncho or raincoat if rain is forecast | Umbrellas (none are permitted) |
| Moderate-sized flags (do not block others) | Fireworks, large flashlights, laser pointers, selfie sticks, skateboards |
| ID, if you want to buy alcohol at the KBF Bar | Domestic animals, other than guide or assistance dogs; outside commercial food |
The venue also lists video or audio recorders and weapons as banned. There is no shelter over the lawn, so a poncho matters more than it sounds; the ground is grassed and can be uneven, so wear sensible footwear.

What happens if it rains?
The Kingston Butter Factory main stage is outdoors, and the venue says events go ahead in rain or bad weather unless deemed unsafe. If the event is cancelled, ticket holders are told by email and SMS, which is one reason to register with a contact you check. Bags will be searched on entry, personal safety and security searches are mandatory, and illegal items will be confiscated. Do not stand on bins or fences, and do not camp on or near the grounds.
What food and drink is there?
The venue lists food trucks serving dinner on site and drinks at the KBF Bar, and calls the nights family-friendly for all ages. It does not publish which food trucks will attend or their prices. You may bring your own food and sealed non-alcoholic drinks, but outside commercial food is banned, so a bag of takeaway bought on the way is not allowed.

What else is on at Kingston Butter Factory soon?
The Final page lists three related events: a holiday artisan market at the art gallery on Saturday 28 November 2026, Jaws: For Kids! on Thursday 14 January 2027, and a Clara Cupcakes burlesque show on Saturday 16 January 2027. Each has its own LoganARTS page with details this guide did not read.
