If you take the train to the Dabble Darts ANZ Premier League night at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday 31 October 2026, you change at Northgate: Shorncliffe line weekend trains run only between Northgate and Shorncliffe, and Boondall is on that stretch. Driving costs $18 a car at the venue, and the venue lists a ticketed start of 7:00pm.

This guide uses the Brisbane Entertainment Centre event page, the venue’s Getting Here, FAQs and Accessibility pages, and Translink’s notice on Shorncliffe line weekend shuttle services, all read on Tuesday 27 October 2026. Brisbane is on Queensland time (AEST, UTC+10), which has no daylight saving.

What is on, and what time does it start?

The venue says the Dabble Darts ANZ Premier League, presented by the Professional Darts Corporation, returns to Brisbane on Saturday 31 October after an inaugural tour. It names Australian player Simon Whitlock as the headliner and referee Russ Bray, known for his “one hundred and eighty” calls, and describes fancy dress, walk-on anthems and a night of darts on the big stage. Its “Event Times” line says “Ticketed start time is 7:00pm”, and its event heading shows the same time marked “time subject to change”.

The event page does not give a gate-opening time or a finish time. The venue says event information is emailed to the registered Ticketek purchaser about 24 hours before the show, so check that email on Friday, and the venue’s FAQs say the box office usually opens 30 minutes before the external gates.

Can I catch the train to Boondall on a Saturday?

Yes, with a change at Northgate. Translink’s notice says that until late 2026 Shorncliffe line weekend services run as a shuttle between Shorncliffe and Northgate stations. If you are travelling from Brisbane City towards Shorncliffe, you catch any train that stops at Northgate and then transfer to the Shorncliffe line, because Shorncliffe trains do not depart from Brisbane City. Going home, you change at Northgate for a train into the city. Boondall station is a 600m walk to the venue, according to the venue.

Shuttle trains run every 30 minutes across the weekend. This table gives the Saturday evening times in Translink’s notice for the stations around the venue.

Where Direction Saturday evening departures
Northgate Towards Shorncliffe (from the change) :07 and :37 past each hour, from 5:07pm to last service
Boondall Towards the city (change at Northgate) :17 and :47 past each hour, from 4:47pm to last service
Boondall Towards Shorncliffe :17 and :47 past each hour, from 5:17pm to last service
North Boondall Towards the city (change at Northgate) :15 and :45 past each hour, from 4:45pm to last service

A Northgate departure at :07 is followed by Boondall at :17, ten minutes later, in the same timetable. The notice does not give a time for the last service, so use Translink’s journey planner for your trip home and leave the venue with a margin. The venue’s own page adds that, because of the finishing time of some events, some scheduled services leaving Boondall may not make connecting services. The notice was last reviewed on 24 September 2026.

Is there any other track work that weekend?

Translink’s list of service updates on 27 October includes a weekend track closure on the Ipswich/Rosewood and Springfield lines from 30 October to 1 November, which does not affect the Shorncliffe line. The evening track closures on the Shorncliffe line are on weekday evenings, and the notice lists Monday 2 to Thursday 5 November next, so none fall on Saturday 31 October. Check Translink’s service updates again before you travel, because the notices say dates can change.

How much is the fare?

Translink’s event transport list read on 27 October did not include a page for this night, so no free event travel is listed for it. Translink’s fares pages say a journey costs 50 cents regardless of distance and payment method, as of October 2026; our go card and contactless guide covers how to pay. Translink is on 13 12 30, 24 hours a day.

How much is parking, and where do I pay?

The venue says parking is $18.00 per visit, payable to the car park attendant on entry, card only, and that the price can change without notice. The charge applies to all vehicles, including cars, motorbikes and scooters. The venue asks you to arrive early or share a vehicle to reduce delays, and to follow the attendants’ directions.

Question What the venue says
Price $18.00 per visit, all vehicles
How to pay To the attendant on entry, card only (the venue is cashless)
Which roads The Gateway Motorway and Bicentennial Road, off Sandgate Road
Taxi On-site rank beside the Ticketek Box Office, with a supervisor after the show
Ride-share Pick-up and drop-off in Carpark 5; ask staff for directions

Accessible parking Close to the accessible turnstile entrances; display a current disability parking permit; the $18.00 still applies

The venue’s Getting Here page has links titled Driving Directions and Toll Roads and Payment Options, which we did not open, so check tolls on your route before you set off. For live road conditions, see QLDTraffic.

Who can go on the floor?

The event page’s age policy says the night is licensed and the floor, meaning the 180 Club and table seating, is 18+ only, and that every patron must hold a valid event ticket. The 180 Club hospitality package is for ticket holders over 18 and includes allocated table seating, snacks on arrival, two hot food services and a four-hour food and beverage package with beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks. The page does not describe the age rule for other seating, so check with the venue on (07) 3265 8111 or through Ticketek before you buy for anyone under 18.

Under the venue’s conditions of entry, anyone aged 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult. The venue also says people who arrive late may not be admitted until there is a suitable break.

What can I bring in?

The venue’s FAQs and conditions of entry set these rules, which apply to most events; the event page does not list a different bag policy for this night.

  • Bags larger than an A4 sheet of paper are not permitted for most events. All bags are subject to a security search before entry, and the conditions of entry say that, depending on the event, metal detectors and pat-downs may also be used.
  • One sealed 600mL plastic bottle of water per person is allowed. Other food and drink cannot be brought in.
  • Signs and banners larger than an A3 sheet are not allowed.
  • Professional cameras, tablets larger than 170mm, drones, selfie sticks and tripods are not allowed.
  • Prams cannot go into the seating bowl; they can be stored at the free cloakroom beside the Ticketek Box Office.
  • The venue is cashless. Cash can be exchanged for a Cash Card at the venue.

The venue’s conditions of entry also say anyone wearing clothing with offensive text or images can be refused entry, and that everyone must be fully dressed and wear shoes. The event page describes fancy dress as part of the night, so check the venue’s conditions before you plan a costume.

What help is there for accessibility?

Accessible seating is in the main seating bowl, and the venue says to say you need it when you buy tickets. Bookings go through the venue’s online accessibility form or by email to tix@brisent.com.au, which the venue says is monitored from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, so contact it before Saturday. Government-issued Companion Card holders get a free carer ticket if it is booked at the time of purchase, and the cardholder collects it from the Box Office on the day. Mobility aid charging stations are on Levels 1 and 2, and Sunflower lanyards, used to show a hidden disability, can be collected from Administration on Level 1.

The venue’s FAQs list a Parents Room on the main concourse (Level 2) opposite Door 8, and first aid rooms opposite Doors 3 and 12 on Level 2. Patrons who need to bring medical supplies are asked to register the date they are attending by emailing bec@brisent.com.au or calling (07) 3265 8111.

Where can I buy tickets?

The event page says tickets are on sale through Ticketek and warns against buying from unauthorised resale websites because of the risk of invalid or fraudulent tickets. The venue’s conditions of entry say tickets bought from unauthorised sellers can lead to refused entry.
