On Wednesday 28 October the Bendigo Jockey Club runs complimentary shuttle buses between Bendigo Railway Station and the racecourse for the Ladbrokes Bendigo Cup: to the track from 10:30am to 1:00pm, and back from 4:30pm to 5:15pm. General admission is $30 for adults, parking on the course is free, and the Victorian Government lists 28 October as a full-day local holiday for all areas of Greater Bendigo west of the Campaspe River.

Melbourne Cup Day is on Tuesday 3 November 2026, the first race at Flemington is at 10:45am, and General Admission is listed at $60 for an adult. Flemington has its own list of what you cannot carry through the turnstiles, and it includes alcohol, glass and large umbrellas. Melbourne Cup Carnival 2026: Trains, Trams and Buses to Flemington on Derby Day, Cup Day, Oaks Day and Stakes Day (Melbourne, VIC)

Transport Victoria is running extra trains to Flemington Racecourse Station for all four days of the 2026 Melbourne Cup Carnival, with trams on route 57 and buses on routes 472 and 404 as other ways in. It has not yet published train or tram times, which will show in Journey Planner within 14 days of each race day.

For the 2026 Cox Plate on Saturday 24 October, Transport Victoria is running extra trains from Flinders Street to Flemington Racecourse from 10:10am to 5:00pm, plus route 57 and 57a trams. The race meeting is at Flemington for the very first time, because of redevelopment at Moonee Valley.

Your ticket to Moët & Chandon Spring Champion Stakes Day at Royal Randwick on Saturday 24 October 2026 includes travel on Sydney trains, metro, buses, light rail and ferries, according to the Australian Turf Club and Transport for NSW. Free parking is also on offer in the on-site Infield car park for General Admission guests, but City Circle trackwork and clearways around the course change how some trips work that day.
