How do I get to CommBank Stadium in Parramatta?

The closest station is Parramatta. From there, Transport for NSW says to take light rail from Parramatta Square to the Prince Alfred Square stop and walk to the stadium via Victoria Road, or walk about 15 minutes from the station via Church Street and Victoria Road. Some buses also stop outside the stadium on O’Connell Street.

Friday 23 October: Parramatta Lanes and City Circle trackwork

Transport for NSW says Parramatta CBD will be busier than usual on Friday 23 October for the annual Parramatta Lanes festival. Roads will be closed and light rail will not run between Parramatta Square and Westmead from 5pm to 11:30pm, with buses replacing services. The Eat Street car park will be closed on 23 October for the festival.

The same Friday, City Circle trackwork starts at 10:40pm and affects trains home from the city. For the game, Transport for NSW lists these Friday changes:

  • City Circle: from 10:40pm, no trains on the City Circle or between Central and Wynyard.

  • T3 Liverpool & Inner West: buses replace Inner West trains between Strathfield and Central, and trains run between Liverpool and Lidcombe only (change at Lidcombe). The start time differs between sources: 10:40pm on the CommBank Stadium page and 10:20pm in the 19 October trackwork notice, so check the Trip Planner.

Roads, taxis and parking at CommBank Stadium

Roads around the stadium may close at the direction of NSW Police as crowds arrive and leave, and bus stops outside the stadium will be affected, with buses using different stops nearby. Closures are confirmed for Sunday 1 November from 9:50pm to 10:20pm on O’Connell Street from Grose Street to George Street, Ross Street from O’Connell Street to Trott Street, and Victoria Road from O’Connell Street to Villiers Street. Transport for NSW says to detour via Grose Street, Brickfield Street, Victoria Road and Wilde Avenue.

The taxi rank is on the eastern side of Villiers Street between Ross Street and Victoria Road. O’Connell Street is a no-stopping zone for taxis and other vehicles to drop off or pick up. There is no public parking at the stadium itself on game days. Car parks within walking distance are Eat Street (entry via George Street), Justice Precinct (entry via Hunter Street), Parramatta Station (entry via Wentworth Street) and Parramatta Leagues Club (O’Connell Street at Eels Place, with pricing depending on Leagues Club membership).

How do I get to Allianz Stadium at Moore Park?

Transport for NSW lists Central and Bondi Junction as the closest stations. From Central, take light rail from Chalmers Street to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is on Anzac Parade just south of the stadium. Additional light rail services will run before and after the game, and queues are expected, especially when leaving.

Sunday 8 November: trackwork and City Circle

On Sunday 8 November, Transport for NSW says trains do not run around the City Circle but continue between Central, Town Hall and Wynyard. For Circular Quay, St James or Museum, use light rail, local buses or walk. Buses replace trains on several lines, including between Macarthur, Glenfield and Fairfield on the T2 and T8, between Liverpool and Lidcombe on the T3, and between Bankstown and Lidcombe on the T6. Check the Trip Planner for your line.

Flat-rate event parking fees apply, and Transport for NSW says parking will fill quickly.

Special event clearway Times

Albion Street between Bourke Street and Flinders Street (both sides) 3pm to midnight
Fitzroy Street between South Dowling Street and Bourke Street (northern side) 3pm to midnight
Lang Road between Anzac Parade and Errol Flynn Boulevard (northern side) 3pm to midnight

Clearways are strict no-parking zones and apply even to local residents and Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Vehicles left there will be towed and a fee applies; search your registration on the Find My Car website or call 132 701. Driver Avenue will be partially closed outside the stadium from 2pm on Sunday 8 November, with no through-traffic, and access to the EP2 Kippax car park maintained via Moore Park Road and to the EP3 grass car park and drop-off areas from Lang Road.

The closest taxi rank is on Errol Flynn Boulevard near the Hordern Pavilion. For rideshare, Transport for NSW lists drop-off points at Errol Flynn Boulevard, Driver Avenue or Moore Park Road at Oatley Road opposite the stadium. It names pick-up points only for Thursday 15 October, so for Sunday 8 November choose a pick-up location further away. The page says to consider parking or being dropped off further away to avoid traffic delays.
