The Mandurah Line will be disrupted on three sets of nights in November 2026: between Cockburn Central and Mandurah from Sunday 1 to Tuesday 3 November, between Elizabeth Quay and Aubin Grove from Wednesday 4 to Sunday 8 November, and between Rockingham and Mandurah from Sunday 22 to Thursday 26 November. Transperth says it will always provide train replacement buses when it closes a line for track works.

Each of the three Transperth notices is a single sentence: it gives the dates and the section that will be disrupted nightly, and nothing more. They do not say what time the last train runs, which bus route replaces the trains, or where the buses pick up. This guide sets out what the notices say, what Transperth says about replacement buses in general, and which timetabled buses it lists for stations on the line. Checked on Tuesday 20 October 2026.

Which nights and which sections are closed?

Nights Section disrupted Transperth notice
Sunday 1 to Tuesday 3 November Cockburn Central and Mandurah Service update 25767
Wednesday 4 to Sunday 8 November Elizabeth Quay and Aubin Grove Service update 25772
Sunday 22 to Thursday 26 November Rockingham and Mandurah Service update 25787

All three notices are titled “Mandurah Line Nightly Closures” and say the line will be disrupted nightly. Transperth’s service updates list also shows works on the Yanchep Line on other nights, which are covered in its own notice.

What does each closure mean for my station?

  • Sunday 1 to Tuesday 3 November: the disrupted section runs from Cockburn Central to Mandurah.
  • Wednesday 4 to Sunday 8 November: the disrupted section runs from Elizabeth Quay to Aubin Grove.
  • Sunday 22 to Thursday 26 November: the disrupted section runs between Rockingham and Mandurah.

Transperth’s notices name only the end points of each section, not the stations in between. If you are travelling from a station in or near one of these sections, use the JourneyPlanner to see whether your trip is affected.

How do the replacement buses work?

On its train replacement buses page, Transperth says that whenever it closes the line for track works and maintenance it always provides a replacement bus service, designed to match the train service as closely as possible. The buses meet you on the street or at the station as signposted and drop you as close to your destination station as possible.

  • You cannot take bikes or surfboards on the buses, and there are some restrictions on travelling with an eRideable.
  • The buses run on roads, so traffic and traffic lights affect them and they run a little slower. Transperth says you will always need to leave more time for your journey.
  • You can use the JourneyPlanner or the Transperth app to plan up to two weeks before travelling. A planned disruption shows the train replaced by a bus route, and the trip takes longer.

For the three closures above, Transperth has not published a bus route number or timetable in the notices. The Mandurah notices do not say when the replacement bus timetable will be available. The Yanchep Line notice, by comparison, names Route 904 and says its timetable will be available in the Transperth app and JourneyPlanner, so do not assume the same route applies to the Mandurah Line.

Are there timetabled buses I can use instead?

Transperth’s alternative bus routes page lists regular bus routes that may get you near a closed station. These are weekday listings, and Transperth says to check the JourneyPlanner or call the InfoLine for the best way to travel.

How do I find out the details before I travel?

  1. Check the Transperth service updates page for each notice, since the details can be added later.
  2. Use the Disruptions Calendar, which Transperth says shows track closures up to two months in advance with more detail for each closure.
  3. Plan your trip on the JourneyPlanner or app and look for the red alert symbol, which Transperth says shows that your journey is affected by track closures.
  4. Sign up to My Account and activate My Alerts for email or push notifications of changes to your services.
  5. Ask station staff or call the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13. If you are hearing or speech impaired, call via NRS 133 677 and ask for 13 62 13.

What about the weekend of 1 November?

The first closure starts on Sunday 1 November, the same day as Transperth’s November service changes, which it lists as effective from that Sunday for bus and train services. Check the JourneyPlanner for your own trip that day, since both changes can apply.
