Parking at Liverpool Hospital is paid in all three public car parks, but the first 30 minutes are free and eligible patients and carers get reduced rates. The hospital’s parking page, which its health district last updated on 3 August 2026, lists a fee of $8.70 for 30 minutes to an hour, climbing to $25.80 for five hours or more. All three car parks (P1, P2 and P3) are open 6am to 10pm, seven days a week.

How much does it cost to park at Liverpool Hospital?

The South Western Sydney Local Health District says fees apply to all hospital car parks. The amounts below are from its parking page, last updated 3 August 2026, and apply to P1, P2 and P3.

Time parked Standard fee
First 30 minutes Free
30 minutes to 1 hour $8.70
1 hour to 2 hours $12.80
2 hours to 3 hours $17.30
3 hours to 4 hours $20.10
4 hours to 5 hours $23.20
5 hours or more $25.80

The district also says that if you visit regularly and find the cost hard to meet, you can speak to the ward clerk or the clinic you are visiting. Parking infringements are issued for vehicles that are parked illegally.

Which fee list is right?

Other hospital pages show older amounts. A page for the hospital’s Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit, for example, still lists a first half hour of “4.00” (with no dollar sign), an hourly rate of $8.00 and a maximum daily charge of $24.00, and its concession amounts are lower than those on the main parking page. The table above follows the main parking page, because it carries the 3 August 2026 update date.

Where are the three car parks?

Car park Entry and exit Closest hospital entrance Open
P1 Goulburn Street Entrance A 6am to 10pm, 7 days
P2 Burnside Drive Entrance J 6am to 10pm, 7 days
P3 Burnside Drive Entrance J 6am to 10pm, 7 days

A page for the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit gives directions to P3: drive down the road at the corner of Hart and Lachlan Streets onto Burnside Drive. It describes P3 as undercover parking in the new clinical building, P2 as a public multi-storey car park off Burnside Drive, and P1 as undercover parking in the clinical building basement off Goulburn Street.

How do the concession rates work?

Reduced rates apply in P1, P2 and P3 for eligible patients, their carers and visitors. Spaces are subject to availability.

Concession ticket Price Notes
0 to 3 hours Free One exit only per 24 hours
More than 3 hours $7.20 One exit only per 24 hours
3 day ticket $14.40 Multiple entries and exits in a 3 day period
7 day ticket $28.80 Multiple entries and exits in a 7 day period

Two groups are listed as eligible:

  • Concession card holders: holders of a Mobility Parking Scheme permit, a Pensioner Concession Card, a Gold Veterans Affairs Card or a Health Care Card. The card or permit must be the government-issued one.
  • Other eligible patients and carers: ongoing cancer treatment patients; people who must attend for treatment over more than one week; people attending more than twice a week, including carers of long-term patients; cardiac rehabilitation class attendees; daily dressing outpatients; and Health Promotion class attendees.

To claim the rate, show your parking ticket, photo identification and concession card at the Secure Parking Office on the ground floor of the P2 car park. The office is open 6am to 10pm every day. The ticket must be validated before you exit the car park. People in the second group need a Concessional Parking Ticket Authorisation Form signed by a member of their treating team; the ward or clinic has copies. For questions, the page gives the Secure Parking Office number as 8738 6347.

Where do I drop someone off?

The hospital lists three drop-off areas: Entrance A on Goulburn Drive, Entrance J on Burnside Drive, and the Emergency entrance on Goulburn Street. Parking in drop-off zones is strictly prohibited. Accessible parking for people displaying a current Mobility Parking Scheme permit is in the P2 car park, on the ground floor and Level 7A only. Fees still apply in those spaces.

People who have been discharged and are waiting for a lift can use the Transit/Discharge Lounge. There is a 20 minute pick-up and drop-off zone out the front of it. The lounge is in the New Clinical Services Building, ground floor, entered from Entrance G on Burnside Drive (press the intercom at the boom gate). The page gives the phone numbers 02 8738 8041 or 02 8738 8042 and the hours as Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6pm, excluding public holidays.

Can I park on the street instead?

The hospital unit page says street parking around the hospital is limited. Close to the hospital it is limited to two hours, with further restrictions because of school zones. The hospital page gives no street list.

Is there a train option?

Liverpool Station is on the T2 (Parramatta or Leppington to City), T3 and T5 lines, according to Transport for NSW. The station is staffed 24 hours and has a lift, ramp boarding assistance and a commuter car park. Transport for NSW applies a 30 per cent Opal discount on Fridays, weekends, public holidays and outside peak times. The hospital pages we read do not give a walking time or a bus route from the station to the hospital entrances, so use the Transport for NSW trip planner for your own journey.

What is still to be confirmed?

  • Current fees. The fee table is from a page dated 3 August 2026.
  • Walking distance and bus links. The hospital pages we read do not give a walking time from Liverpool Station.
  • Pay method. The parking page lists amounts but does not say how to pay (machine, card or app), so follow the instructions at the car park.

What should I know before I go?

  • The first 30 minutes are free; after that the fee is $8.70 to $25.80 depending on time parked.
  • All three car parks close at 10pm and open at 6am, seven days a week.
  • P1 (Goulburn Street) is closest to Entrance A; P2 and P3 (Burnside Drive) are closest to Entrance J.
  • Concession card holders pay nothing for up to 3 hours, but the ticket must be validated at the P2 Secure Parking Office before you leave.
