Parking at Westfield Booragoon is free and has no time charge, but Westfield says that “unless otherwise sign posted” parking near the centre has a limit of 3 hours. The centre says it has over 4,200 bays. Seven numbered bus routes are listed at Booragoon Bus Station, which is linked to the centre by a path. Western Australia does not use daylight saving, so all times are Perth time (AWST, UTC+8).
Is parking free at Westfield Booragoon?
Yes. Westfield’s parking page, checked on 7 November 2026, is headed “Complimentary parking” and says no parking charges or time limits apply. It then adds the 3-hour caution in the same box. The two statements can be read together: you do not pay, but a sign can set a limit, and near the centre the default is 3 hours. For a normal shopping trip, a film or a long lunch, plan to be back at the car inside three hours.
| Item | What Westfield says |
|---|---|
| Cost | Free; no parking charges |
| Time limit | 3 hours near the centre, unless otherwise signposted |
| Number of bays | Over 4,200 |
| Special bays | Disabled, parents with prams, and bus or coach bays |
| Parents with prams | Outside all major entries, on the rooftop car parks and near the food court |
| Electric vehicles | Free charging at the bays at the Fresh Food Marketplace entry |

How do I drive to Westfield Booragoon?
The centre is at 125 Riseley Street, Booragoon, on the street between Leach Highway and Canning Highway. Westfield says it is less than 15 minutes from the city and Fremantle, and about 20 minutes from Cottesloe and Claremont. Its directions are:
- From the north of Perth, leave the Kwinana Freeway at Canning Highway heading south, turn right onto Canning Highway, then left onto Riseley Street.
- From the south, leave the Kwinana Freeway at Leach Highway heading north, then turn right onto Riseley Street.

The Concierge is on (08) 9449 6300 and was open 9am to 5pm on Saturday 7 November. Centre hours on 28 October were 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Wednesday, 9am to 9pm Thursday, 9am to 5:30pm Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday and 11am to 5pm Sunday. Check the opening hours page before a Christmas trip, as the December hours were not yet on the page.
Which buses stop at Booragoon Bus Station?
Transperth’s station map for Booragoon Bus Station, marked “current as of 10 September 2026”, shows stands A1 to D4 and a path “To Booragoon Shopping Centre”. The routes it lists, with the destinations it prints, are:
| Route | Destinations on the map |
|---|---|
| 114 | Perth and Munster |
| 115 | Perth and Hamilton Hill |
| 160 | East Perth and Fremantle Station |
| 500 | Bull Creek Station and Fremantle |
| 510 | Murdoch Station and Como |
| 915 | Bull Creek Station and Fremantle |
| 658 | Optus Stadium (as printed on stand D2; the map does not say when it runs) |

The map also marks toilets for men and women, an accessible toilet, a baby change room and an accessible path. The map also shows a stand for Transperth School Specials. The busway beside the platforms is for authorised vehicles only, and the map shows a 15 km/h limit for it. The station sits between Marmion Street and Riseley Street. Transperth’s own timetable pages need JavaScript, so this guide does not give bus times; use the Transperth journey planner for the next departure.

What are the rules for parking on the streets around Booragoon?
The streets outside the centre belong to the City of Melville, which has its own rules. The City says it is the driver’s responsibility to park legally, and that parking signs can carry several conditions, so read the arrows on the posts. Its pages, checked on 7 November 2026, set out these fines and rules:
| Situation | City of Melville rule | Penalty |
|---|---|---|
| Time-restricted bay (a number and a P, for example 2P is 2 hours) | Leave within the limit; a parking session may be needed | $90 |
| No active parking session where one is needed | Pay by plate, buy a ticket or use the parking app | $90 |
| Parked on or in front of a footpath | No part of the car may block the footpath or crossover | $110 |
| No stopping area (sign or continuous yellow line) | Do not stop at all | $110 |
| Parked on a verge without permission | Needs the adjoining owner’s permission, and signs override it | $110 |
| Parked within 10 metres of an intersection | Stay more than 10 metres clear | $100 |
| More than 24 hours in one street | Move the car for at least one hour | $110 |
The City also warns that it generally will not withdraw a fine for misreading a sign, forgetting to start a session, overrunning an appointment or being unaware of local rules. A fine must be paid within 28 days; after that a Final Demand Notice with a late fee follows. To report an illegally parked car, the City asks you to phone MelSafe on 131 247, which it says runs 24 hours a day.

Are there paid car parks near the centre?
The City of Melville lists a “Riseley Street Precinct” with 10 on-street and off-street parking machines. Three entries are named on its parking areas and fees page:
| Location | Rate (fees 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday) |
|---|---|
| Kearns Crescent | First 3 hours free, then $2.70 an hour |
| Simpson Street Car Park | First 3 hours free, then $2.20 an hour, maximum $5.25 a day |
| Willcock Street Car Park | First 3 hours free, then $2.20 an hour, maximum $5.25 a day |
An active parking session is still required in the free period. You can pay by coins at selected meters, by card or PayPass, or through EasyPark. The City says it is introducing fixed parking cameras in select areas, replacing tyre chalking and foot patrols, and that the cameras are not CCTV and do not record audio or video. The page does not say whether each of these streets is a short walk from the centre, so the table is the City’s list, not a recommended route. For a shopping trip, the free bays inside the centre are simpler.
