You cannot buy a ticket at the door for Global Drone 2026, and you cannot go in without a government-issued photo ID, because every attendee has to complete a registration and security approval process first. The event runs from Wednesday 11 to Friday 13 November at Cbus Super Stadium in Robina, the Expo is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day, and there is no on-site parking, so the stadium’s advice is to come by train.
This guide is built from the Global Drone Show website and the stadium’s own pages, all read on 7 November 2026, four days before the first day. Where the two disagree or an answer has not been published, we say so rather than fill the gap.
What is Global Drone 2026?
The stadium’s event page describes Global Drone as a three-day event on the Gold Coast bringing drones, robotics, AI, autonomous systems and Advanced Air Mobility together, with more than 200 global exhibitors across the Expo and more than 120 live demonstrations across air, land and water in the Drone Zone. The organisers’ website says it is an industry event, with a Congress of six specialised streams, Keynote Luncheons and, on Friday 13 November, a Future Careers Day.

The organisers say the Congress runs in the stadium’s corporate facilities, the Expo is in the covered concourse and the Drone Zone uses the playing field. Everything is inside the stadium, and the organisers say the Expo, Congress and Drone Zone proceed in all weather, although the Drone Zone page says its demonstrations are subject to weather requirements.
Can the public go?
Adults can, if they buy a ticket and are approved. The organisers’ FAQ says the event is not open to children or anyone under 18, with one exception: students attending Future Careers Day on Friday 13 November as part of an approved school or education group. Their Expo page adds that students under 18 can also come on that day accompanied by a parent or guardian, and the ticket page lists a Future Careers Day child ticket that must be accompanied by a general admission adult ticket. Those two statements differ, so if you want to bring a young person on the Friday, ask the organisers first through the contact page on their website.
The FAQ says tickets are sold online through Lüp Events, that a confirmation email with your ticket arrives once your registration is approved, and that you should bring the ticket, printed or on your phone, together with a valid government-issued photo ID. Tickets are not transferable and not refundable, except that a purchase is refunded in full if the registration is not approved.
How much are tickets?

The ticket page says prices are in Australian dollars and that booking fees are added at checkout. The FAQ says early-bird prices ended on Sunday 25 October and full prices applied from Monday 26 October, so the table shows what the ticket page listed on 7 November. The FAQ also says prices include GST, while the ticket page says they exclude booking fees, so check the total at checkout.

What time does it start?
The organisers’ FAQ lists the Expo and the Congress sessions as 9:00am to 5:00pm from Wednesday 11 to Friday 13 November, with Drone Zone live demonstrations throughout each day, and recommends arriving from 9:00am. The stadium’s event page lists a start time of 9:00am on the first day and does not yet show a time for the gates opening. We have not found a gate opening time anywhere, so we have not given one.
Your badge gives re-entry on the day you are attending, according to the FAQ. The organisers say the days are split by theme: Advanced Air Mobility and Agri-Business on Wednesday, Defence Robotics and Counter-UAS and a technology, ecology, conservation and natural disaster response stream on Thursday, and on Friday Future Invest (Pitch Fest and Capital Raise), Entertainment and Sport, and Mining, Construction and Asset Management, alongside Future Careers Day.
Is the Drone Zone safe to watch?
The organisers’ FAQ says all flight operations are managed by AUAV, which holds the overarching Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operator’s Certificate and acts as Chief Remote Pilot. It says a 30-metre exclusion zone is kept between all drones and patrons, no drones leave the stadium footprint and the playing field sits in unrestricted airspace, outside the airport flight path. The Drone Zone page says demonstrations are subject to final operational, safety and weather requirements, and that some demonstrations, such as aquatic or wildlife surveys, are shown live on the stadium’s big screens.
Can I park at Cbus Super Stadium?
No. The organisers’ FAQ says there is no on-site parking at Cbus Super Stadium during Global Drone 2026, and that on-street and public parking is available in the surrounding area within a short walking distance, with availability and fees managed by the parking operators. The stadium’s own pages say there is no public parking at the stadium and that parking restrictions apply in the local area on major event days. The City of Gold Coast says a two-minute limit applies in the Robina Stadium Traffic Area on signed event days, so check signs before you leave a car on a street. We have not confirmed which days the City has signed for this event.

How do I get there by train or bus?
Robina station is about 350 metres south of the stadium according to the stadium, and about 300 metres according to the organisers; both say it is a short walk, and the stadium says the station has a lift. The Robina bus interchange is next to the station. The organisers say the stadium is around 20 minutes by direct transfer from Gold Coast Airport and can be reached by train from Brisbane, and that airport buses connect to Varsity Lakes station and then to Robina. The stadium says Robina Town Centre is about 1.4 kilometres away on foot.

Is public transport free?
The stadium says an event ticket includes free travel on Queensland Rail trains (not Airtrain), G:link trams and Kinetic buses, and that you must show a valid event day ticket. That is the stadium’s general offer for its events. Neither the organisers’ pages nor the stadium’s event page for Global Drone say it applies to this event, and Translink had no event page for it on 7 November, so do not rely on free travel until one of them confirms it. Translink’s journey planner is at translink.com.au and its number is 13 12 30.
Where do taxis and rideshare drop off?
The organisers say the drop-off and pick-up points for taxis, rideshare and accessible transport will be published closer to the event. For other events the stadium names rideshare and taxi ranks on Centreline Place and a general drop-off area at the corner of Robina Town Centre Drive and Cheltenham Drive, about 500 metres from the stadium; we have not seen those confirmed for Global Drone.
What should I bring?
The organisers list your ticket, a government-issued photo ID, comfortable footwear, business cards if you are attending for business, and an empty reusable water bottle. Trained assistance animals are welcome and the organisers suggest getting in touch first; domestic pets are not allowed. The stadium says it is a fully accessible venue with accessible parking, entrances, amenities and viewing areas, and its own page lists 159 wheelchair positions and a quiet space on the Eastern Concourse. Conditions of entry for this event are set by the organisers, so read their Conditions of Entry before you travel.

Who do I contact?
The organisers give tickets@lup.events for ticket problems. The stadium’s phone number is (07) 5656 5500. We will check the stadium’s event page and Translink again on the morning of Wednesday 11 November.
