How do I get to Marvel Stadium by train?

The stadium says Southern Cross Station is connected to most metropolitan and regional train lines, and that the stadium is a short walk across the Bourke Street pedestrian bridge. The bus terminus at Southern Cross, which serves airport transfers and country Victoria routes, is also a short walk across the same bridge.

The Metro Tunnel has changed how some passengers reach Southern Cross. The stadium says the new Cranbourne, Pakenham and Sunbury Line does not travel via Southern Cross Station, so you need to change trains:

  • From the south-east: change at Town Hall Station to Flinders Street Station for trains to Southern Cross. Or change at Town Hall to a Collins Street tram (route 11, 12, 48 or 109) or a Flinders Street tram (route 35, 75 or 70) towards Southern Cross.
  • From the north-west: change at Footscray to the Werribee or Williamstown lines. Or transfer at State Library Station to Melbourne Central for trains to Southern Cross, or change at State Library to the route 30 tram on La Trobe Street.

For timetables, disruptions and special event services, the stadium points to Transport Victoria and the PTV app. Our myki fares guide sets out what a trip costs.

Which trams go to Marvel Stadium?

How much does event parking cost?
