Stadium Golf is on at GIO Stadium Canberra on Thursday 10, Friday 11 and Saturday 12 December 2026, with a Kids Edition on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 January 2027. Tickets are sold through Ticketek, but the stadium says the booking link goes live only when tickets are available, and it has not published prices.
This guide collects what the stadium has published on its Stadium Golf pages and on its general visitor pages on 7 November 2026, and it marks what the stadium has not said. Times are Canberra clock time (AEDT).
What is Stadium Golf?
The stadium describes the event as turning GIO Stadium, home of the ACT Brumbies and the Canberra Raiders, into a “golf coliseum”. Players tee off from elevated platforms and hit onto the field of play. It says the event is suitable for the novice or the serious golfer, that equipment is supplied, and that it is available in the evening and under lights.
The stadium’s own event page for Thursday 10 December says the golf is “available evening and under lights”. The related-events lists on the stadium’s pages give 12pm to 9pm for Friday 11 and Saturday 12 December. The stadium does not say whether you book a set session or can turn up between those hours.

What are the dates and times?
| Event | Date | Time listed by the stadium |
|---|---|---|
| Stadium Golf | Thursday 10 December 2026 | 12pm to 9pm; the event page says evening and under lights |
| Stadium Golf | Friday 11 December 2026 | 12pm to 9pm |
| Stadium Golf | Saturday 12 December 2026 | 12pm to 9pm |
| Stadium Golf – Kids Edition | Thursday 21 and Friday 22 January 2027 | 9am to 12pm |
The stadium’s Stadium Golf page also thanks its 2026 Stadium Golf partners and hole sponsors. It gives (02) 6256 6700 for group bookings and enquiries, or you can use the contact form on the page.
What is the Kids Edition?
The Kids Edition is a school holiday activity for children aged 4 to 14. The stadium describes a 60-minute session on the field with these parts:
| Part | What the stadium says |
|---|---|
| Golf | 30 minutes of supervised golf activities, with balls provided |
| Free time | 20 minutes to kick around or explore; bring your own ball or use the stadium’s |
| Supervision | Kids must be accompanied by an adult |
| Price | Charged per bay; the stadium has not published an amount |
| Tickets | Not on sale yet; until the booking link goes live, the stadium asks for enquiries by email |
The listed sessions run between 9am and 12pm on both days. The stadium does not say how many sessions there are or how many children fit in each bay, so those details are unconfirmed.

How do I buy tickets?
The stadium says official tickets for all events at GIO Stadium are sold through Ticketek, and it asks people to buy only through its authorised ticketing agent. The Stadium Golf page says the link to book at Ticketek “will go live when tickets are available”. The Kids Edition page says the stadium is finishing the ticketing and that pricing is per bay and still to be confirmed.
Digital tickets on a smartphone are preferred for entry, and a printed ticket is also an option. The stadium notes that it is a cash-preferred venue with no ATMs on site, and that food, drink and merchandise outlets take EFTPOS and tap-and-go.
Where do I park?
The stadium’s driving and parking page says parking is available on both the East and West sides of the stadium, and that the car parks are signposted as you approach. It says to follow signs and traffic marshals, to arrive early because parking is limited, to park legally and not on nature strips because parking officers will be about, and not to leave valuables in the car.
The page states that stadium parking is $10 per vehicle, and that arriving at least 45 minutes before the event’s start time gets a $5 early bird discount. The page is written for general event days and does not say whether the fee or the discount applies to Stadium Golf, so treat the price as unconfirmed until the booking page says so.
| Extra parking | Entry | Walk to the stadium |
|---|---|---|
| Canberra Institute of Technology, Bruce | Via Purdie Street | About 10 minutes |
| University of Canberra | Via College Street | About 20 minutes |
The stadium says additional parking “may be available” at those two campuses, so it is not guaranteed. Accessible spaces are available first come, first served near the entrances to the East and West car parks, and you need a valid disability parking permit on display.

Is there a free bus?
This is unclear, so read the wording carefully. Both Stadium Golf pages carry a “Match Day Transport” note that says a complimentary bus service will be available on match day, in addition to parking. The stadium’s public transport page, however, describes the free buses as game day buses for ACT Brumbies and Canberra Raiders matches, operated by CDC Canberra from the major interchanges, and says standalone NRLW matches use regular Transport Canberra services with a match ticket.
Neither page says free buses will run for Stadium Golf,, and no timetable has been published for the golf dates. For regular services to the Bruce area, the stadium points to the Transport Canberra website and its phone line, 13 17 10.

Where do taxis, ride share and drop-offs go?
- Drop-off and pick-up: community drop-off points are on Leverrier Street and out the front of the AIS Arena on the West side. Vehicles enter from the northern end of Leverrier Street off Ginninderra Drive. The stadium says pick-up and drop-off on the East side is not possible because of traffic arrangements.
- Taxis: taxis may drop off on Battye Street on the West side only, and the taxi rank is on the West side about 75 metres from the Western gates.
- Ride share: use “AIS Arena” or “AIS Visitors Centre” as your pick-up and drop-off location, not “GIO Stadium”, on Leverrier Street in front of the AIS Visitors Centre or AIS Arena. Ride share vehicles may not use the taxi rank.
- E-scooters: park them in the Community Drop Off Zone on Leverrier Street, the same place as ride share. The stadium says they are not permitted inside the stadium.
These arrangements are described for major events. The stadium has not said whether the temporary traffic changes it uses for matches apply to Stadium Golf. For traffic or related parking queries, the stadium lists Access Canberra on 13 22 81.

What access support is there?
The stadium says it has accessible parking, unisex accessible toilets, lifts to all levels of the Meninga and Gregan-Larkham grandstands, wheelchair-height water stations, and wheelchair and carer seating. For accessible seating through Ticketek, the stadium lists the Accessible Seating line on 1300 665 915, open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm AEST, or an online request form. Companion cards must be shown when you buy a ticket and when you enter. Service dogs are welcome.
Those details come from the stadium’s general accessibility page, written for seated events. Stadium Golf is played on the field, and the stadium has not described access to the playing area.
What is still not confirmed?
- Ticket prices and the date tickets go on sale at Ticketek.
- Whether you book a timed session or play any time between 12pm and 9pm.
- Whether the free bus, the parking fee and the early bird discount apply to Stadium Golf.
- The number of Kids Edition sessions and the price per bay.
- Gate opening times and any food or drink rules specific to Stadium Golf.
The stadium’s Stadium Golf pages are the first place any of this will appear.
