For Brisbane Lions against Carlton in the AFLW at Brighton Homes Arena on Saturday 31 October 2026, railbuses replace trains on the Springfield line, so the usual train to Springfield Central station, which sits right next to the arena, is a railbus ride that day. Free travel for ticket holders starts at 12:05pm, gates open at 3:00pm and the game starts at 4:05pm.
This guide uses Translink’s event transport page, the Brighton Homes Arena event page and Translink’s weekend track closure notice, checked on Thursday 22 October 2026.
Will trains run to Springfield Central?
The arena’s page says the easiest way to get to the arena is by train to Springfield Central station, with a direct train from Redcliffe and about 30 minutes from the city stations of Bowen Hills, Fortitude Valley, Central and Roma Street. That is the normal service. On this weekend, Translink’s closure notice says timetabled railbuses replace trains between Roma Street and Rosewood and Springfield Central stations from 11:30pm on Friday 30 October until the last service on Sunday 1 November, and bikes and e-scooters are not permitted on them. The affected services include the T2 Springfield Central. Translink’s event page for the game says no additional trains will run. Use the Translink journey planner, with Brighton Homes Arena as the destination, for your own trip. Our Ipswich, Rosewood and Springfield closures guide lists the affected stations.

Is public transport free?
Translink says that with a pre-purchased event ticket you can travel free to and from the game on all regular network-wide Queensland Rail City network trains and Bus Queensland buses, excluding Airtrain. Free travel begins four hours before and finishes four hours after the event, and Translink lists it as starting at 12:05pm. The Springfield Central station stop IDs are 600089 for the train and 319144 for the bus.
The arena lists bus routes 526, 527 and 528 as serving Springfield Central and the Orion Shopping Centre.
Where can I park?
- Arena parking (P3): on the northern side of Eden Station Drive. The arena says parking is paid on AFLW game days and that you can reserve a parking voucher when you buy your ticket.
- Street parking: available on Australia Avenue, according to the arena’s event page.
- Park ‘n’ Ride: further parking is at the Springfield Park ‘n’ Ride on Springfield Greenbank Arterial.
- Accessible parking: at Springfield Central Station, with spaces on a first-come basis.
- Drop-off and pick-up: at Springfield Central train station. Vehicles cannot remain there and need to find parking away from the station.
The arena’s address is 16 Eden Station Drive, Springfield Central, and it gives Exit 32 for drivers.

Which gates and tickets?
The arena says gates open at 3:00pm and to enter through Gates 1 and 6. Tickets are General Admission, with limited Grandstand and Upper Deck tickets. Children aged 0 to 14 as at 1 January 2026 come free of charge, but they must hold a valid ticket for entry.

Can I walk or ride?
The arena says bike and walking paths lead to the stadium, including a dedicated path parallel to Mountain Creek, and that bike racks are available at Springfield Central Station.

Who do I contact?
For the event, the arena can be reached at 16 Eden Station Dr, Springfield Central, on 07 3335 1777 or by email at bookings@brightonhomesarena.com.au, according to its website.
