Central Geelong Parking: How to Pay at the Meters, Where to Park and Public Holiday Rules (Geelong, VIC)

Eastern Beach, Geelong

In central Geelong you pay at the meters with a Visa or Mastercard or a pay-by-phone app such as EasyPark, because the City of Greater Geelong is phasing out coin payments from 9 March 2026. The City lists more than 4,700 off-street and 5,400 on-street car spaces in the central area, with all-day on-street parking at $10.30 and free all-day spots near Eastern Beach. Prices are as of 22 October 2026, from the City’s parking pages.

Gold Coast Council Parking Meters: How to Pay by Card, Cash or EasyPark, and Where Public Holiday Charges Apply (Gold Coast, QLD)

City of Gold Coast parking meters take cash or Visa and Mastercard cards, and you can also pay with the EasyPark app. Cash is not accepted at every meter, and the City does not accept American Express. Your parking time starts when your car stops in the space, because most metered areas use in-ground sensors, and you do not need to display a receipt.
