Your ticket to Sydney FC v Central Coast Mariners at Allianz Stadium on Friday 6 November 2026 includes travel on public transport to and from Moore Park, according to Transport for NSW. Gates open at 6:30pm, kick-off is at 7:40pm and full time is at 9:30pm. From 10:40pm, trains do not run around the City Circle because of planned trackwork, so check your trip home before you leave. Sydney is on daylight saving time (AEDT) in November, so all times here are Sydney time.

This guide is based on the Transport for NSW event page, read on 28 October 2026. Allianz Stadium also hosts the Rugby League World Cup semi-finals on Sunday 8 November; for those, see our Rugby League World Cup transport guide.

Is public transport free with a match ticket?

Yes, for ticketholders. Transport for NSW says valid pre-purchased tickets to 2026/7 A-League Season home games at Allianz Stadium include travel to and from Moore Park. Show your event ticket or members card to transport staff when boarding. The ticket covers:

  • Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
  • Sydney Metro services
  • Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan bus services
  • Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle light rail services
  • Sydney and Newcastle ferries

Keep the ticket safe for the trip home. Without it you need your Opal card or contactless payment method, because you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. The match ticket is valid on those modes until 4am the following day. An additional train station access fee applies to travel to or from the Domestic and International Airport stations, and the event ticket does not cover it. If you drive to a Park&Ride car park, the page says tickets to these home games also include free Park&Ride parking; use the intercom at the exit gate and show your ticket. For how Park&Ride works, see our Park&Ride guide.

Is the City Circle open after the match?

Not after 10:40pm. The page says planned trackwork on Friday 6 November means trains do not run around the City Circle from 10:40pm. They continue to run between Central, Town Hall and Wynyard, continuing to T1 North Shore Line stations. For travel to Circular Quay, St James or Museum, use light rail or local buses, or walk. Full time is at 9:30pm.

Line From 10:40pm on Friday 6 November
T2 Leppington & Inner West Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping between Leppington or Homebush and North Sydney. Some trains start or end at Central, platforms 1-14
T3 Liverpool & Inner West Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping between Liverpool and North Sydney
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Some trains make an extra stop at St Peters and Erskineville
T8 Airport & South Trains via the Airport start and end at Central. T8 trains do not run between Sydenham and the City. T4 trains run between Sydenham and Bondi Junction, making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville
T9 Northern Trains make an extra stop at Ashfield

Transport for NSW adds that trackwork on the City Circle may also affect how you travel on each of those lines. Two regional lines have changes too. On the Central Coast & Newcastle Line, buses replace the 1:47am Central to Newcastle Interchange service from Central to Hornsby, and the replacement buses leave Central at 1:21am, 26 minutes earlier than the normal train. On the Southern Highlands Line, buses replace trains from Moss Vale to Campbelltown from 7:50pm to 2am, and from Campbelltown to Moss Vale from 9:50pm to 2am. Use the Trip Planner on the day for the latest changes.

Which station is closest to Allianz Stadium?

What about light rail?

The L2 Randwick line runs between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central (Chalmers Street), and the L3 Kingsford line runs between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central (Chalmers Street). Both run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. The Moore Park stop is on Anzac Parade, just south of Allianz Stadium. Additional light rail services run before and after the game, and the page says to expect queues and allow plenty of extra time, particularly when leaving the stadium.

Light rail line How to reach Moore Park
L1 Dulwich Hill Runs between Central (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West; change at Central for an L2 or L3 service to Moore Park

Can I walk from Central?

Transport for NSW suggests it. The page says to consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to avoid the queues for transport services before and after the match, and puts the walk at approximately 25 minutes. A Moore Park walking route map (PDF, 677KB) is linked from the event page.

Which buses and ferries go to Moore Park?

Several regular route buses stop along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339, 373, 374 and 396. From the Bondi Junction Interchange, routes 333, 352 and 440 run to Oxford Street, and route 355 runs to Lang Road, within a short walk of the stadium. The page says buses and light rail services will be busy. For ferries, catch any service to Circular Quay and change for an L2 or L3 light rail service to Moore Park.

Can I park near Allianz Stadium?

Yes, but space is limited. Transport for NSW says parking in the precinct may fill quickly, and to carpool with your group and arrive early. Two car parks are named:

  • Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park: open 24 hours, with flat rate event parking fees. Entry is via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road.
  • Sydney Boys High School and Sydney Girls High School car parks: cashless, with flat rate event parking fees. Entry is via Cleveland Street, and you use the Anzac Parade pedestrian bridge to reach the stadium.

The EP2 and EP3 grass car parks will not open for this match. Each car park has spaces for Mobility Parking permit holders; the page points to Centennial Parklands for details. The event page does not state the flat rate, so we cannot give a price here.

Where will I not be able to park?

Special event clearways are in place on roads in Moore Park and surrounding areas. They are strict no-parking zones.

Hours Where
6am to 11pm Cleveland Street between South Dowling Street and City Road (southern side); Cleveland Street between Abercrombie Street and South Dowling Street (northern side); Fitzroy Street between South Dowling Street and Bourke Street (northern side)
3pm to 11pm Albion Street between Bourke Street and Flinders Street (both sides); Lang Road between Anzac Parade and Errol Flynn Boulevard (northern side)

If you drive, allow extra travel time, because the page says traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct during the evening peak. Live conditions are on Live Traffic NSW.

Where do taxis and rideshare go?

The closest taxi rank is on Errol Flynn Boulevard, near the Hordern Pavilion. For rideshare, use Errol Flynn Boulevard or Driver Avenue as drop-off locations. After the game, there may be restrictions on rideshare pick-up locations because of heavy traffic, so choose a pick-up location away from the stadium.
