The Canning Show runs on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November 2026 at the Cannington Exhibition Centre and Showgrounds, and you can only buy a ticket online. The show’s organiser says there are no physical ticket sales at the gates. Gates open at 5pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday, close at 10pm both nights, and fireworks go off at 9pm on both nights.

This guide uses the City of Canning’s event page, the Canning Show website and the show’s Eventbrite ticket page, all read on 27 October 2026. Where none of them says something, such as parking, this guide says so instead of guessing.

What time does the Canning Show open and close?

The show is run by the not-for-profit Canning Agricultural, Horticultural and Recreational Society (CAHRS). Its Eventbrite page lists the hours below, and the City of Canning page gives the same session times.

Day Gates open Gates close Fireworks
Friday 6 November 5pm 10pm 9pm
Saturday 7 November 10am 10pm 9pm

The Community Stage page says the show closes each night with the Westfield Carousel Fireworks Spectacular. Westfield Carousel is the sponsor presenting it.

How much are Canning Show tickets?

Tickets are sold through Eventbrite. The ticket panel showed a range of free to $21.49 on 27 October 2026 and again on 2 November 2026 (top price unchanged), and each price includes the booking fee. Every pass is valid for one entry on either Friday or Saturday, so you choose your day when you arrive. Early bird tickets have sold out.

Ticket Price What the listing says
Single pass $21.49 (includes a $1.49 fee) Standard general admission for one person, one-time entry on either day
Group pass $13.73 (includes a $1.23 fee) One-time entry for any combination of up to 4 people
Student pass, ages 6 to 17 $11.14 (includes a $1.14 fee) For children aged 6 to 17 or university and TAFE students with a valid student ID; sales end on 7 November 2026
Seniors pass $11.14 (includes a $1.14 fee) For valid Seniors Card holders aged 65 and over; sales end on 7 November 2026
Accessible pass $11.14 (includes a $1.14 fee) For people with a valid government-issued Pensioner Concession Card (DSP), Health Care Card or other card named on the Eventbrite listing; sales end on 7 November 2026
Kids 5 and under Free The child must not be turning 6 until after the date chosen to attend
Companion pass Free Add it to your order; a valid Companion Card is checked at the gate

Tickets are non-transferable and refunds are only made if the event is cancelled. The organiser’s FAQ says concession pass holders must bring ID because it may be checked at the gate. The ticket barcode is scanned once, so it works for one entry only, even if the ticket displays both days.

Can I buy a ticket at the gate?

No. The organiser’s FAQ says tickets are available online only through Eventbrite and there are no physical ticket sales at the gates. If you want to decide on the day, buy a ticket beforehand and pick Friday or Saturday when you turn up, because every ticket allows entry on either day. The Eventbrite page lists the same flexibility for all passes.

The Canning Show’s website says its office, at the Cannington Exhibition Centre and Showgrounds, can be reached on (08) 9451 1820 or enquiries@cahrs.com.au. The City of Canning’s events team is on 1300 422 664.

What is on at the Canning Show?

The City of Canning lists fireworks, Sideshow Wonderland rides, carnival games, a Stay and Play Zone, show bags, farmland animals, Food World, music, face painting, pony rides and performers. The City’s page adds that much of it comes free, included with tickets. Eventbrite describes a lineup of completely free kids’ activities, food trucks, the Exhibition of local talent, and rides and games. None of the three pages says which rides or games cost extra, so ask at the gate or check the Canning Show website before you plan a budget.

The show is the 117th, according to the Community Stage page, and the show’s own history page says the first official agricultural show was held in 1909. The Exhibition schedule is out, and a printed copy is available from the show’s office, open 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday, and from the Cannington, Riverton, Willetton and Gosnells libraries, Hillview Hub and Spotlight Cannington.

Who is performing on the Community Stage?

The Community Stage page says the stage has two days of entertainment, from a brass band to line dancing and cover bands. The page has Friday and Saturday tabs, but the text we could read lists the acts without times and without saying which act plays on which day. Here is the lineup as published on 27 October:

  • The President’s welcome and Welcome to Country, which officially opens the 117th show
  • St Norbert College Band: Aspire 127, and the Darling Range Wind Ensemble
  • The Southern Dukes, a country rock band from Perth
  • Beckenham Primary School’s choir and its Years 5 and 6 guitarists
  • Orbethur Marimba Band and Choir
  • Falun Dafa Waist Drum, a traditional Chinese folk dance
  • Bhairavi Dance School, a Perth-based school of Indian classical and folk dance
  • CICA Global, the Evolve Idol Showcase, and Amore Music and Performing Arts
  • Zing Music Studio, which will play the guzheng live
  • Russell and The Archer, a country, folk and Americana act
  • Canning City Brass Band, established in 1974
  • Cody James, a singer-songwriter from Karratha in the Pilbara who reached the Top 30 of Australian Idol this season
  • Afterglow, a Perth cover band playing rock, country rock and pop
  • The Westfield Carousel Fireworks Spectacular

Stage times are not published yet, so check the Community Stage page again close to the day.

Where do I park, and how do I get there?

None of the three pages gives parking or public transport advice for the show. The venue’s address is Gate 1, corner of Station Street and Albany Highway, Cannington, WA 6107. The Eventbrite page includes a map with driving, public transport, biking and walking options, but it does not give any specific parking arrangement for show days.

For a train, bus or walking route, use the Transperth journey planner and enter the showgrounds address. The photos in this guide show Cannington railway station and its bus terminal, but the show has not published a walking route or any shuttle. Check the Canning Show website for any later transport or parking notice.
