If you have a ticket to Guns N’ Roses at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday 5 December 2026, gates open at 5:00pm and the show starts at 5:45pm, and you should not plan to park: the stadium says there are no public car parks on event days. Its concert arrangements page says concerts there must finish before 10:30pm.
This guide uses the stadium’s event page, Getting Here, parking restrictions, FAQ, Conditions of Entry, Accessibility and Arrangements for Concerts pages, and Translink’s event transport list, all read on Saturday 7 November 2026. Brisbane is on Queensland time (AEST, UTC+10), which has no daylight saving.

What time do gates open, and when does the show start?
The stadium’s event page gives gates at 5:00pm and the event start at 5:45pm, and says all times are AEST, local Queensland time. The calendar entry on the page is set to 5:45pm on 5 December in the Australia/Brisbane time zone. The page names Airbourne as special guest. It does not say when Airbourne plays, how long the changeover is or when Guns N’ Roses go on, so “5:45pm” is the event start, not necessarily the first note of the headline set.
The concert arrangements page gives the one firm limit on the end: concerts at Suncorp Stadium are required to finish before 10:30pm. The same page says concert timings are published on the individual event pages once announced, so the finish is bounded by that rule rather than stated for this show.
| Item | What the stadium says |
|---|---|
| Date | Saturday 5 December 2026 |
| Gates open | 5:00pm |
| Event start | 5:45pm |
| Support | Airbourne, set time not given |
| Finish | Concerts must finish before 10:30pm |
| Parking limits end | 11:30pm on concert nights (arrangements page) |
| Sound checks | Between 10am and 8pm, no more than three hours on any day, with times posted on the event page when confirmed |
The event page says Suncorp Stadium Members and local residents had a presale before the general public, with details sent by email.
Is public transport free with a ticket?
The stadium says yes. Its Getting Here page says public transport is included free with your event ticket on all Queensland Rail City Network services, excluding Airtrain and ferries, and on all Transport for Brisbane bus services. Its FAQ says the offer applies from 4 hours before the main game’s kick-off to 4 hours after the game ends, and then adds a line for concerts: “For most concert events free public transport begins from 12 midday.” You show your ticket to rail and bus staff as you board.
Because the FAQ says “most” concerts, and Translink had not posted an event transport page for Guns N’ Roses when we checked on 7 November, treat 12 midday as the stadium’s general statement and not a promise for this night. The stadium says concert and sporting event transport information is listed on Translink before the event date. Translink’s event transport list showed Carreras and Friends at the Gabba on the same day, but nothing for Suncorp on 5 December.

Is anything else on in Brisbane that evening?
Yes. The Gabba is holding Carreras and Friends the same night, with gates at 5:00pm and the event starting at 7:00pm, according to the Gabba and Translink. Both venues are on the public transport network, and Translink’s page for the Gabba concert says free travel begins at midday. Two large crowds heading home on the same network on the same night is something the pages do not discuss, so allow extra time and check Translink’s service updates. Our guide to Carreras and Friends at the Gabba covers that show.
Can I park near the stadium?
No. The stadium calls itself a public transport venue and says there are no public car parks on event days. Fifteen-minute parking limits apply across the Lang Park Traffic Area, which covers roughly a 1.5km radius around the venue. Offending vehicles receive on-the-spot fines or are towed away if required, according to the concert arrangements page.
The stadium’s two pages give different start times for the restrictions. The parking page says the limits generally apply from two hours before the gates-open time until after the event, which for 5:00pm gates would be 3:00pm; that is our arithmetic, not a time printed on the page. The concert arrangements page says restrictions start from approximately 1 hour before gates on the day of the concert, which would be about 4:00pm, and apply until 11:30pm that night. The safer reading is to be out of the area by the earlier of the two.
| Question | What the stadium says |
|---|---|
| Public car parks | None on event days |
| Street parking | Fifteen-minute limits in the Lang Park Traffic Area, with fines or towing |
| Traffic plan | Concerts have a Traffic Management Plan; road and lane closures are shown on the stadium’s Traffic Management Plan page |
| Taxis | Rank outside Sports House on Castlemaine Street, at the north-west corner near Caxton Street; a PWD taxi zone is on the Northern Plaza off Caxton Street |
| Ride-share | The venue continues to use pick-up zones after events from September 2026; see its Rideshare Pick Up Zones page |
| Coaches and limousines | Limited on-street spaces; a permit application is required |
| Bikes | Racks on the North Plaza near the PCYC entrance and on the South Plaza at the top of the south-west stairs |
| Accessible parking | Very limited, allocated by a lottery for events |

What does the stadium say to people who live nearby?
The concert arrangements page lists bump-in and bump-out for Guns N’ Roses from 30 November to 7 December, with the show on 5 December, and says these dates are subject to change. Bump-in runs between 7am and 7pm, some after-hours work may happen during bump-out, and work done at night is contained within the stadium, with staff deployed outside to monitor noise. Through-traffic in Castlemaine Street during bump-in is not affected, though some parking spaces on the eastern side could be used.
Chippendall Street is unavailable for local parking from the start of bump-in until the concert ends, apart from people with special permits issued by Christ Church Milton. Truck parking stays on that street, and drivers are told to turn engines off while stationary. Residents and businesses needing to enter the restricted area on the night are told to tell security staff or police they are visiting a residence or business, and the fifteen-minute limits still apply unless signs say otherwise.
For noise, the stadium says it uses specialist consultants, with sound engineers on site for sound checks and rehearsals. A concert hotline runs in the lead-up and on the night on (07) 3331 5040, and the stadium reception is on (07) 3331 5000. The stadium no longer does letterbox drops before special events and asks locals to sign up to its email newsletter.
Who can buy tickets, and from where?
The event page says Ticketmaster is the unique authorised ticketing agent and that tickets are available exclusively through Ticketmaster.com.au. The stadium’s conditions of entry say patrons are not admitted with tickets that have not been bought from an authorised ticket agent, and that where tickets are bought from a third-party re-seller or non-authorised agent, the venue is under no obligation to find those people a seat. Buy only from the authorised agent. The FAQ says your gate entry location is shown on your ticket and recommends having it ready on your phone before you arrive.

What can I bring in?
The stadium’s FAQ says to bring only bags A3 size or under where a bag is needed, and to check each event page for the bag size, because it varies: for the Foo Fighters concert the FAQ names a smaller A4 limit. The Guns N’ Roses event page lists no bag size, so the A3 rule is the stadium’s general rule and not one confirmed for this show. The FAQ encourages patrons to leave bags at home to speed up entry. Cloaking is available on the Southern Plaza, and for concerts also in tents on the Northern Plaza. Patrons may be wanded and have their bags checked.
- Water in a bottle with an unbroken factory seal, up to 1.25L, is allowed, as is tea or coffee in a thermos. Other liquids are not.
- Food from commercial outlets cannot be brought in; homemade food in a container other than glass is allowed.
- Soft eskies A3 size or smaller are allowed; hard eskies are not.
- The stadium is cashless, so bring a card.
- Passes-out are issued at the Northern and Southern Plaza ends, and you need your ticket to be scanned out and back in.
The stadium’s conditions of entry list the full set of permitted and prohibited items, so read them before you pack.
What help is there for accessibility and families?
The stadium lists 220 wheelchair positions, five wheelchair access gates, two Changing Places facilities, a Parents Room, a Quiet Room and an audio loop with hearing assistance. On most event days an Accessibility Attendant roams the Level 3 concourse near the Info Desk to help patrons with accessibility needs from when they enter. Because this event uses Ticketmaster, read the event page’s ticketing section and the stadium’s accessibility page before you book accessible tickets, or phone the stadium on (07) 3331 5000.
The stadium’s FAQ says children’s safety wristbands, on which parents record their contact details, are available free from the information desks inside the North and South Gates.

What should I check closer to the day?
Check three things in the week of the show: Translink’s event transport list for a Guns N’ Roses page with shuttle and free-travel details, the stadium’s event page for any change to the gate or start time or a bag size, and the stadium’s Traffic Management Plan page for road closures. The stadium is an open-air venue, and its FAQ says an event may be delayed in bad weather.
