Sunset Sounds: Coastal Sessions is a free community concert at Old Nursery Park in Yanchep (WA) from 4pm to 8pm on Saturday 21 November 2026. It is listed on the City of Wanneroo’s events page, and the headline act is Dr Soul, a live band that plays the hits of the 80s and 90s.
This guide uses the City of Wanneroo’s own event page, read on 29 October 2026. The City has not published parking, public transport or wet-weather advice for the day, and this guide says so where it matters rather than guessing.
Is Sunset Sounds: Coastal Sessions free?
Yes. The City lists the cost as free and calls the event a free community concert. The page shows no booking link and no ticket button. It does not give prices for the food trucks, the drinks or the market stalls, so take a card and some cash and check each vendor on the day.
The City says the evening is for friends and family, with “activities for all ages”, but it does not list what those activities are. The City describes the evening as a way to “cap off the week and welcome the warmer months”.

Who is playing, and when?
The City names one headline act and lists the other stage entertainment without times. Here is the confirmed line-up.
| Act | What the City says |
|---|---|
| Dr Soul | Live band; plays the soundtrack of the 80s and 90s |
| The Frets | Listed in the stage entertainment |
| The Odd Balls | Listed in the stage entertainment |
| Dynamic Music Academy | Listed in the stage entertainment |
| Desiree Dance Academy | Listed in the stage entertainment |
| Black Swan Dance Co | Listed in the stage entertainment |
The City gives no start time for any single act, and the list above follows the order on the City’s page, which may not be the running order. The event runs from 4pm to 8pm, and the City does not say when Dr Soul takes the stage. Check the City’s event page before you go.
What kind of music is Dr Soul?
The City describes Dr Soul as a live band that brings the soundtrack of the 80s and 90s to life and plays classic hits you can sing along to. It calls the performance high-energy and says it will “get the crowd moving”. The City does not name a set list.

Which food trucks and drinks vendors will be there?
The City lists these food and drink vendors by name:
- Mr Spudz Perth
- El Sabor Latino
- Perth City Burger Co
- Passaparola Pizzeria
- The Pitch Inn
- Torch My Brulee
- Lola’s Biggest Handmade Spring Rolls
- Tea-Riffic WA
- Zest Soft Serve Ice Cream
- Commando Coffee
The City does not publish menus, prices or dietary information. If you have an allergy, ask the vendor on the day rather than relying on a list of names.
What market stalls are on?
The City lists eight market stalls: Aqua Kre-Artz, Bohemian Rays, Bun Buns Personalisation Station, Dreadful Leather, Kerry’s Inkart Creations, Muddy Honey, Fragrant Candles by Mel and Rita Ahern Mosaics. Prices are not published.

Where do I park, and can I get there by public transport?
The City of Wanneroo has not published parking or bus advice for Sunset Sounds: Coastal Sessions on the event page we read. It gives the address as Old Nursery Park, 7 Yanchep Beach Road, Yanchep, and no more. Two things you can do:
- Use the Transperth journey planner. Enter “7 Yanchep Beach Road, Yanchep” at transperth.wa.gov.au to see Saturday afternoon and evening services, and check the last service home, because the event ends at 8pm.
- Follow the City’s event pages. Check the event page on the City’s website for changes in the week before.
If you drive, the City has not said where to park, whether there is an overflow area or how traffic will be managed. Leave extra time and park only where signs allow.

What happens if it rains?
The City has not published a wet-weather plan, and the event page does not say whether the concert goes ahead in rain. Check the City’s event page on the morning of Saturday 21 November before you leave.
How should I plan the evening?
| If you want to | Plan to |
|---|---|
| See the whole line-up | Arrive for the 4pm start, because the City gives no act times |
| Hear Dr Soul | Stay into the evening; the City does not say when the band plays, so check the event page the day before |
| Eat there | Browse the ten food and drink vendors and the eight market stalls; the City gives no prices |
| Come with young children | The City says there are activities for all ages but does not list them |
| Get home on public transport | Check the last service on the Transperth planner before you leave |
Take a picnic rug or folding chairs if you want to sit, plus water and sun protection for the 4pm start. The City does not say whether alcohol, pets or your own picnic food are allowed, and it does not list toilets or first aid, so check its event page or contact the City before you go.
Is it suitable for little kids and people with access needs?
The City describes it as a family-friendly evening with entertainment for all ages. It does not publish access details such as accessible parking, toilets or routes across the park. If you need that information, contact the City of Wanneroo through its website before the day.

How does it compare with Sunset Sounds: Family Beats?
The City is running two Sunset Sounds concerts in November 2026, two weeks apart. Both are free and both have food trucks and market stalls, but the headline acts, the hours and the suburbs differ.
| Family Beats | Coastal Sessions | |
|---|---|---|
| Date | Saturday 7 November | Saturday 21 November |
| Hours | 3pm to 7pm | 4pm to 8pm |
| Venue | Highview Park, Alexander Heights | Old Nursery Park, Yanchep |
| Headline act | Beauty and the Beats (Disney tribute) | Dr Soul (80s and 90s hits) |
| Food and drink vendors | Ten | Ten |
| Market stalls | Twelve | Eight |
Coastal Sessions is pitched at an evening crowd with an 80s and 90s soundtrack, while Family Beats has kids’ activities and a Disney tribute act. Neither page publishes parking or bus advice.
