MECCA at Lakeside Joondalup is trading from a temporary location opposite Adairs while the store is expanded, and the toilets next to the old store are closed until about early November. Lakeside Joondalup has not said when the bigger MECCA will open, only that it will be “soon”. Everything below is as of Thursday 29 October 2026, taken from the centre’s own news posts.
The centre is at 420 Joondalup Drive, Joondalup, Western Australia 6027. Western Australia does not use daylight saving, so all times are Perth time (AWST, UTC+8).
Where is MECCA at Lakeside Joondalup right now?
Lakeside’s post of 10 August 2026, headed “Something beautiful is getting bigger…”, says MECCA is “expanding to create an even bigger and better beauty destination”. It says the expansion “will bring more of the brands, products and beauty experiences you know and love”. While works are underway, MECCA “will continue trading from their temporary location opposite Adairs”.

The post gives no opening date, no floor area and no list of new brands. Do not plan a visit around the new store until the centre announces a date. Its news page at lakesidejoondalup.com.au/whats-on is where a date would appear.
Which toilets are closed at Lakeside Joondalup?

Where do I park at Lakeside Joondalup?
The centre says it has over 4,800 car bays, about 1,500 of them undercover. Parking is free in all car parks for up to four hours. The centre has partnered with PES Retail to monitor the car parks “to deter non-shoppers”, and it tells genuine customers who get an infringement for an extended stay to appeal to PES Retail using the instructions on the back of the ticket. You may be asked for receipts, so keep them.

The parking page also has a “popular arrival times” graph that the centre says uses real-time data, updated every fifteen minutes, with a forecast for the day and week ahead. It is the centre’s own guide to when the car parks are busiest.
The centre also names parking for its Santa photo sessions. The outdoor car park next to the train station, off Collier Pass, is the one it recommends for Sensitive Santa, and the South Mall ground floor car park off Collier Pass for Pet Santa. Santa arrives on Saturday 7 November; see our guide to the Santa arrival parades at Booragoon and Joondalup.

Other things Lakeside has announced for November
The centre’s Christmas page lists three attractions: Santa’s arrival parade on 7 November, Carolling Reindeers and the Let it Snow Globe. The last two are listed for “select dates in November, December” with no times, so they are not confirmed here. The centre says Santa will be in the centre from 7 November, with photo sessions near Myer on the ground floor.

- The opening date of the expanded MECCA store.
- The exact date the closed toilets reopen.
