The closures are for the Gold Coast 500, and most of them lift at 5am on Tuesday 27 October, two days after the race weekend.
Translink has published a separate notice for each street. This article puts them in one place by route and date, using the notices as last reviewed on Friday 9 October.

Route 705: Ocean Avenue at Surfers Paradise North station
The stop at Ocean Avenue at Surfers Paradise North station (322329), covered by Translink’s Ocean Avenue notice, has been closed since the first service on Tuesday 29 September and stays closed until Friday 30 October. The alternative changes with the dates:

- Until Sunday 18 October, and again from 5am Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 October: Ferny Avenue at Ocean Avenue (300538).
- Monday 19 October to 5am Tuesday 27 October: Surfers Paradise (300049) for route 705, and Surfers Paradise Boulevard at Cypress Avenue (319488) for school route 3104.
Routes 70 and 705: Ferny Avenue from Sunday 18 October
From the first service on Sunday 18 October until 5am Tuesday 27 October, the four Ferny Avenue stops at Ocean Avenue and Palm Avenue are closed (300538, 300539, 300540 and 300541). The Ferny Avenue notice lists these alternatives:

- Surfers Paradise (300049): route 70 towards Burleigh Heads station and route 705 towards Broadbeach South station.

Route 704: Tedder Avenue and a split route
From 6pm on Sunday 18 October until 5am on Tuesday 27 October, seven stops on Tedder Avenue are closed, according to the Tedder Avenue notice, at Montgomery Avenue, Lennie Avenue and Cronin Avenue, plus the hail ‘n’ ride stop near Main Beach Parade. Route 704 is also split during this time. Services towards Sea World end at Scarborough Street, and services towards Helensvale station start at Scarborough Street.
The temporary stops are on Main Beach Parade, not Tedder Avenue. Route 704 towards Sea World uses the stop near Tedder Avenue. Route 704 towards Helensvale, and school routes 3024, 3104, 3338 and 3445, use the stop near Waterways Drive. School routes 3024, 3104, 3338 and 3445 also have a temporary stop on Woodroffe Avenue near Pacific Street.
Route 70 and Main Beach station
Translink’s Main Beach station notice covers the bus stops at Main Beach station, and its advice for school services uses the tram from the same station. Stop 319469 has been closed since Thursday 17 September and stop 319468 closes on Saturday 17 October. Both stay closed until Tuesday 3 November. Route 70 passengers use Ada Bell Way at Broadwater Parklands station in Southport (319472 and 319471).

For school services, Translink suggests taking the L1 Helensvale / Burleigh Heads tram from Main Beach station, platform 1, towards Helensvale. Get off at Southport South station, platform 1, and catch route 3090 from Scarborough Street at White Street (300518) or Queen Street at Garden Street (300517).
How does this fit with race weekend?
The Gold Coast 500 runs from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October, so the Tedder Avenue, Ferny Avenue and Main Beach Parade closures cover the whole race weekend. Our Gold Coast 500 transport and parking guide explains how to reach the track by tram, train and bus, and what a race ticket covers. The Gold Coast line is also closed to trains on the weekend before; see our Gold Coast line weekend track closure article.
