The Marine Parade Car Park at The Entrance is closed from 6am on Thursday 22 October until 7pm on Sunday 25 October for ChromeFest 2026, according to Central Coast Council’s road closures page. On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October several streets around the town centre are also closed from 5am, and the council lists no road closures for Friday 23 October other than the car park.
ChromeFest runs from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October 2026. Its website describes more than 450 show cars, all pre-1979, car cruises, entertainment on five outdoor stages, and retro and market stalls. The 2026 program lists five free car parks near the event, and Tuggerah and Gosford are the closest railway stations. This guide covers the closures, parking and transport, using the council’s table, the ChromeFest website and the 2026 program, checked on Thursday 22 October.

Which roads are closed for ChromeFest?
The council’s road closures page lists these Special Event closures at The Entrance. The ChromeFest website and the 2026 program list the same locations.
| Road | Saturday 24 October | Sunday 25 October |
|---|---|---|
| Coral Street, at Duffy’s Lane | 5am to 5pm | 5am to 5pm |
| The Entrance Road, at Fairview Avenue | 5am to 5pm | 5am to 5pm |
| Victoria Avenue, at Farrell Lane | 5am to 5pm | 5am to 5pm (location not given) |
| Marine Parade, at Beach Street | 5am to 4pm | 5am to 5pm |
| Ocean Parade, from the KFC driveway | 5am to 5pm | 5am to 5pm |
| The Entrance Road North, at the roundabout under the bridge | 5am to 5pm | 5am to 5pm |
| Fairview Avenue | Not listed | Partial closure, 5am to 9am |
The program tells drivers to expect delays with excess event traffic and to allow additional travel time. The council page also lists one more closure on Wednesday 28 October, from 6:30am to 11:30am at the corner of The Entrance Road and Fairview Avenue, and an earlier one on Wednesday 21 October at the same corner.
The council says its list is updated during business hours from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and that major impacts outside those hours go on its Facebook page. For State roads such as the Central Coast Highway and the M1, it points drivers to the LiveTraffic app and livetraffic.com.
What about the Marine Parade car park?
The council says the car park is closed all weekend, from 6am Thursday 22 October until 7pm Sunday 25 October. Do not plan to park there. The program shows it in use as part of the event: the Saturday Twilight Show Car Cruise leaves from the Marine Parade car park from 4:00pm, and the lowriders will be in the car park on Saturday.

Where can I park?
The Getting to ChromeFest section of the 2026 program lists these under Free Parking:
- The Greens The Entrance free parking, off Park Road, a short walk to the event site.
- North Entrance Council Car Park, a short stroll across The Entrance Bridge.
- The multi-storey car park in Coral Street, The Entrance.
- Picnic Point, on Tuggerah Parade, a short stroll along the water’s edge.
- Short Street Car Park, off Theatre Lane, a short walk to The Greens The Entrance and the event site.
The program adds that off-street parking is also available and that road rules apply. It tells drivers coming from Sydney or Newcastle to take the M1 Pacific Motorway and navigate to Marine Parade, The Entrance, then find parking near the event site. The program does not give space numbers for these car parks, and it does not mention a shuttle bus, so do not assume one is running.
The Coral Street multi-storey car park
Central Coast Council’s parking page, checked on 20 October 2026, describes the Coral Street multi-storey at 18 Coral Street as free, with 500 all-day spaces. Its ground level is open 24 hours a day and Levels 1 and 2 from 6am to 11pm, with Level 3 and above for residential and hotel parking only. The council said work to replace the lift was expected to finish by 22 October 2026, and that anyone needing accessible parking should use the accessible spaces on Level 1 while it was out of service. Coral Street is closed at Duffy’s Lane on Saturday and Sunday from 5am to 5pm, so check which way you will reach it.
What if I need accessible parking?
The program says accessible parking and a drop-off zone are along The Entrance Road, under The Entrance Bridge, and in the multi-storey car park in Duffy’s Lane. A disability parking permit must be displayed on your vehicle during your stay, and the program says limited accessible parking is available. The ChromeFest accessibility page lists accessible toilets and an adult change facility, assistance animal friendly areas, first aid, continuous paths, sensory play and retreat spaces, a water station, and seating and shade.

Can I get there by train, bus or taxi?
The program says NSW TrainLink runs regular services to the Central Coast from Sydney and Newcastle, with a travel time of about 1 hour 30 minutes from each, and that Tuggerah and Gosford are the closest stops for The Entrance. It does not say how to travel on from those stations. A network of buses connects the region, with interchange hubs at Gosford, Wyong, Tuggerah and Woy Woy stations, and you can check routes at transportnsw.info.

Taxi hubs are at the Woy Woy, Gosford, Tuggerah and Wyong stations, and at Erina Fair and Westfield Tuggerah. The program gives 131 008 for bookings. If you are paying for the train from Sydney, our Sydney to Central Coast train fares guide explains the Opal fares to Gosford, Woy Woy and Wyong.
What is on, and when does it matter for travel?
- Thursday 22 October: the Thursday Night Social at The Entrance Surf Club, 42 Marine Parade, from 6pm. It is free, with dance lessons at 6:30pm and 7:30pm and the Steve Edmonds Rock n Roll Band from 8:30pm. Spots in the lessons are limited, and free tickets are on sale on the ChromeFest website.
- Friday 23 October: the free Friday Night Concert, Chrome After Dark, at Memorial Park, 46 Marine Parade, from 4:30pm to 9:00pm. The Hellcat III play at 6:00pm and The Flattrakkers at 7:00pm.
- Saturday 24 October: the Twilight Show Car Cruise leaves Marine Parade car park from 4:00pm, and a car entry ticket must be displayed. The Saturday Night Jive is at Mingara Recreation Club, 12-14 Mingara Drive, Tumbi Umbi, not at The Entrance, with doors at 6:00pm.
People who registered a car for the Show n’ Shine can collect their entrant bag from the merchandise marquee in Memorial Park from 2:00pm on Friday 23 October.

Quick plan
- Driving on Saturday or Sunday: be in place before the 5am closures, and aim for the free car parks listed above rather than Marine Parade.
- Driving on Friday: the council lists no road closures, but the Marine Parade car park is still shut.
- Coming from Sydney or Newcastle by train: get off at Tuggerah or Gosford and check transportnsw.info for the onward bus.
- Staying nearby: allow extra time near Coral Street, The Entrance Road and Victoria Avenue, which are on the closure list.
