Newcastle Jets play Kashiwa Reysol at polytec Stadium in Gosford on Tuesday 24 November 2026, with gates open at 5:45pm and kick-off at 6:45pm, according to the stadium’s event page. It is an AFC Champions League Elite match, and Gosford railway station is about 300m from the ground.

This is a weekday night, which changes the parking answer. The $13 weekend flat rate on the stadium’s Getting Here page and the council’s weekend and special event flat fees are for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and the council says mid-week special events pay casual rates. This guide uses the stadium’s pages and the council’s parking page, read on 27 October 2026. Our general polytec Stadium getting there guide covers the same ground for ordinary matches; this one covers what is different on the night.

Is the match in Newcastle or Gosford?

It is at Gosford. The stadium’s own What’s On page lists the fixture at polytec Stadium, and the event page does not say why a Newcastle Jets match is being played there. Older articles may still call the ground Central Coast Stadium or Industree Group Stadium. The address is the corner of Dane Drive and Central Coast Highway, Gosford NSW 2250.

The stadium describes the night as one in which the Jets face Japanese side Kashiwa Reysol in the AFC Champions League and says its gates open at 5:45pm and the kick-off is at 6:45pm. The event page links to a Ticketek booking page; we could not read ticket prices there, so check Ticketek for them. The stadium’s A-Z guide says tickets are best bought ahead but can also be bought at the gate, at an on-site Ticketek office that opens on event days and takes card or digital payment only.

How do I get to polytec Stadium by train?

The stadium’s Getting Here page says Gosford station is approximately 300m away, while its A-Z guide gives a 500m walk, with regular train services from Sydney’s CBD, the North Shore and Newcastle, and tells fans to check transportnsw.info for trackwork alerts. It also asks you to use an Opal card or a contactless payment card or device on public transport to and from the event. Transport for NSW had not published a page for this match as of 27 October 2026, so look at its events page in the week before for any extra services.

Coming from What the stadium says
Sydney CBD or the North Shore Regular trains run to Gosford, about 300m from the stadium
Newcastle Regular trains run to Gosford on the Central Coast and Newcastle line
Elsewhere on the Central Coast Busways services operate from all over the Central Coast; phone (02) 4368 2277 or 1300 69 2929
Woy Woy, Ettalong, Daviston, Patonga Nearby ferry stops; see centralcoastferries.com.au or FantaSea Cruising

The stadium does not publish train times for the night. Look up your last train home on the Transport for NSW Trip Planner before you leave, because kick-off is at 6:45pm, so you will probably leave after the stadium has emptied and the car park’s 8pm closing time has passed. If you are paying for the train from Sydney, our Sydney to Central Coast train fares guide explains the Opal fares.

Where can I park on a Tuesday night?

The stadium lists three car parks and says no parking is available in Wilhemnina Street, Alfred Higgs Place, George Street or under the Brian McGowan Bridge. Its Getting Here page says a parking lot beside the stadium is closed to the public on event days.

Car park Distance What the stadium says
Gosford City car park (P1) About 100m Hourly fees Monday to Friday; $13 flat on Saturday and Sunday
Gosford station car park (P2) About 300m Access by Opal card with any valid train journey
Central Coast Leagues Club Opposite the Eastern gate A-Z guide: $15 flat for members, $30 for non-members, from 3 hours before the event, entry via Baker Street

What does the Gosford City car park cost on a weekday?

The stadium’s A-Z guide lists the Gosford City car park at a $10 flat rate, with no day given, so it reads like the weekend fee. Central Coast Council runs the Gosford City car park at 1 Baker Street. Its parking page, checked on 20 October 2026, lists casual rates for Levels 2 to 5 and says mid-week special events pay these casual rates, not the weekend flat fees.

Time parked Casual rate, Levels 2 to 5
0 to 1 hour $3.20
1 to 2 hours $4.50
2 to 3 hours $5.70
3 to 4 hours $7.00
4 to 5 hours $9.30
5 to 6 hours $11.30
6 to 7 hours $12.60
Over 7 hours $14.10 (maximum all-day fee until midnight)

The car park’s weekday hours are 6am to 8pm, and the council says it is open for special events in addition to its standard hours. It also says all users can exit at any time after hours; you pay at the Pay Station on the ground level or through the Scan to Pay QR code, and the pedestrian lift outside hours is on the ground level. In-person security release after closing may incur an after-hours release fee of $77.20 on top of the fees, so pay before you walk back to the car. The council does not say whether this match counts as a special event, so read the sign at the entry.

Is there cheaper parking in Baker Street?

The council also lists the Baker Street Pay by Plate area on the ground level beneath the car park, entered by Erina Street. It is open 24 hours, with a three-hour limit and paid parking from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Outside those times it is free with no limit. For a match with gates at 5:45pm, that means a car parked after 5pm on a Tuesday would not be charged, according to the council’s page. The council gives $3.20 an hour for the paid times and says payment is by EFTPOS only at the machines. The council page does not say that this applies to match nights, so check the signs on the day.

How do I drive there from Sydney or Newcastle?

The stadium’s directions are to take the Sydney Newcastle Freeway, about 45km and 45 minutes from Sydney or about 50km and 45 to 50 minutes from Newcastle, then the Gosford and Woy Woy exit onto the Central Coast Highway. Follow the highway into Gosford for about 8 minutes and cross the Brian McGowan Bridge; the stadium is on your left. It warns that traffic will be heavier than usual and points to livetraffic.com for real-time updates.

The stadium page for this match does not mention any Dane Drive closure, and Central Coast Council’s road closures list, last updated on 21 October, had no entry for 24 November when we looked.

What should I bring, and how do I pay inside?

The stadium says it is a cash-free venue, so bring a card or phone to buy food and drink. Bags are checked at every entrance. Our guide to what you can and cannot bring into polytec Stadium has the full list from the conditions of entry.

Are there taxis, bike racks or a ferry?

Taxi ranks are at the Central Coast Leagues Club and at Gosford station on William Street, and the stadium gives 131 008 for bookings. Cycle ways run from Woy Woy and Erina to the stadium, with bike racks at both entry points. The nearest ferry stops are Woy Woy, Ettalong, Daviston and Patonga; the stadium does not say whether ferry services run at match times on a Tuesday, so check the ferry operators.

Quick plan by how you are travelling

  • By train: get off at Gosford, about 300m away, tap on with an Opal or contactless card, and check your last train home on the Trip Planner before kick-off.
  • By car: aim for the Gosford City car park, about 100m away, and pay before you leave; or park in Baker Street after 5pm, where the council lists no charge outside 9am to 5pm on weekdays.
  • By bus or bike: use the Busways services or the cycle ways, and lock up at either entry point.
  • Paying inside: bring a card or phone, because the stadium takes no cash.
  • Check again the week before: Transport for NSW may add a page for the match, and the council may add closures.
