Glass bottles, vacuum flasks, alcohol, drones, horns and whistles are not allowed into polytec Stadium, and flags and signs must be no larger than 1m x 1m with the pole not attached, according to the stadium’s Conditions of Entry. Newcastle Jets play Kashiwa Reysol there on Tuesday 24 November 2026, gates open at 5:45pm, kick-off is at 6:45pm and the stadium is cash-free.

The stadium says its general conditions may be supplemented by event-specific ones, printed on the ticket or shown at the gates. The list below is from the stadium’s general Conditions of Entry page, read on 27 October 2026; no special conditions for this match were published on its event page. Our getting there and parking guide for the match covers trains, car parks and weekday parking rates.

Which gate do I use?

The stadium’s A-Z guide says there are two entrances: Eastern Entry Gate 1, opposite the Central Coast Leagues Club, and Western Entry Gate 3, on the waterfront side beside the Brian McGowan Bridge. For smaller events only one entrance is in operation, and the guide does not say how many will be open on 24 November. It lists six food outlets and six bars on the Eastern and Western concourses, with extra mobile food vendors at larger events, and says vegetarian and vegan options are available on request. First aid responders are at all events, and you can speak to event or security staff if you need one.

What happens at the gate?

The stadium says all patrons are screened on entry, which includes bag checks and, for some events, electronic screening. Management may carry out personal checks on anyone entering or leaving, and people who refuse a search are excluded from entry. It also says you may be recorded on commercial broadcast or CCTV from the entry gates and throughout the licensed area.

Entry can be refused to anyone who is intoxicated or disorderly, who bought an event ticket from an unauthorised source, including a ticket scalper, or who presents an invalid ticket. Buy through the Ticketek link on the stadium’s event page.

What is not allowed inside?

Group Items the stadium lists as prohibited
Drinks and food Alcohol; glass bottles or containers of any kind; drinks with the seal not intact; vacuum flasks of any material; commercial food such as fast food or restaurant takeaway (food from stadium caterers is allowed); commercial quantities of packet food
Bags and bulky items Eskies and hard-cased cooler bags that do not fit under your seat; umbrellas (stored under your seat or checked in at entry); bicycles, skateboards and skates; strollers, prams and baby capsules (cloaked inside opposite the turnstiles)
Cameras and recording Professional cameras, or cameras with a detachable or telephoto lens extending more than 5cm from the body; professional recording devices; monopods and tripods; flash photography
Noise and display Horns, trumpets, sirens, whistles and vuvuzela-type devices; flags or signs larger than 1m x 1m, or with the pole attached; laser pointers
Safety Weapons of any kind, including toy and replica weapons; chains, spiked wrist or neck bands and studded belts; fireworks and flares; scissors and aerosol cans; drones and remote-controlled devices; motorbike helmets and balaclavas
Other Vapes, e-cigarettes and personal vaporisers; illegal substances; animals other than service animals

Flags and signs also must not be offensive in any way unless the stadium has pre-authorised them. The stadium does not say what it allows for visiting supporters’ banners from Japan beyond this limit, so ask the stadium if you are bringing a large banner.

Can I bring a chair, an umbrella or wear thin shoes?

The A-Z guide says no chairs are to be brought in; for picnic-style events only rugs are allowed. Patrons with bare feet are not permitted entry, and jerseys are allowed and even encouraged. The two stadium pages differ on umbrellas. The Conditions of Entry list umbrellas as prohibited and say they can be stored under your seat or checked in on entry, while the A-Z guide says they may be brought in but asks patrons not to open them in front of people sitting behind, and suggests ponchos instead. Take a poncho and be ready to check an umbrella in.

Undercover seating, according to the A-Z guide, is in Upper Western Grandstand Bays 35 to 41, Level 1 Western Concourse Bays 2 to 10 (Rows R to W), Upper Eastern Grandstand Bays 46 to 52, and Level 1 Eastern Grandstand Bays 23 to 31 (Rows R to W). Bay 2 on the Western Concourse is the alcohol-free seating zone.

Can I bring a pram, or a child?

The conditions list strollers, prams and baby capsules as prohibited, but say they can be cloaked once inside the venue opposite the turnstile entry points. They note that prams are allowed in for some smaller events, such as Cinema Under the Stars and Carols, where seating is available on the field. A Champions League match is not one of the events named. The A-Z guide adds that prams and strollers are not permitted in the grandstand for safety reasons and that staff can store one until the end of the event. Baby change facilities are in all the female toilets on Level 1 East and West.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian aged 16 or older at all times, unless they are involved in a stadium or club program. The stadium adds that specific age restrictions may apply at an event, so check your ticket. Some areas can be exposed to direct sunlight, and the stadium says patrons are responsible for their own sun protection and hydration; a 6:45pm kick-off in late November is early evening, but check the weather forecast.

Can I leave and come back in?

The stadium says pass outs are available for most events and asks you to check with the stadium if you are concerned. It does not say whether they will be available on 24 November, so confirm before you leave your seat. The stadium also says anyone who is ejected gets no ticket refund and commits an offence if they re-enter within 24 hours.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the stadium, including vapes and e-cigarettes, and anyone caught smoking may be asked to leave and refused re-entry.

What about alcohol and ID?

The stadium is a licensed premises. No outside alcohol is allowed, and intoxicated people are refused entry or evicted. It is an offence for minors to buy or drink alcohol, and the stadium says that for some events drinks must be decanted into approved plastic cups or have their lids removed once purchased. The stadium lists these as acceptable ID: a driver’s or rider’s licence or permit issued in Australia or any foreign country; an Australian or foreign passport; a NSW photo card; or a proof of age card issued by a public authority.

What about wheelchair and carer seats?

The A-Z guide says there are 82 wheelchair spaces and 108 carers’ seats along the Western, Northern and Eastern concourses, bookable through Ticketek. Access for wheelchairs and disabled people is at both the Eastern and Western entry gates. Only assistance animals and guide dogs are allowed in; other animals are prohibited.

How do I pay for food and drink?

polytec Stadium is a cash-free venue, with no permanent ATM on site, and the A-Z guide says it only accepts card or digital payments. The event page for this match asks fans to bring an alternative payment method to buy food and beverages. The stadium pages do not name accepted card types.

Packing checklist

  • Ticket, with any event-specific conditions printed on it.
  • A card or phone for payment, and photo ID if you plan to drink alcohol.
