The i98FM Illawarra Convoy Free Family Fun Day runs on Sunday 15 November 2026 from 9am to 3pm at Shellharbour Regional Airport, and the organiser has named Sneaky Sound System as the headline act. The best way in is the train to Albion Park Rail or the free Park n Ride buses, which run from 8am to 4pm.

This guide uses the organiser’s fun day page and its park and ride page, checked on 2 November 2026. Times are New South Wales daylight time (AEDT). The convoy of trucks and bikes that ends at the fun day has its own guide: where to watch the Convoy route.

What is on at the Convoy fun day?

Who is Sneaky Sound System?

The organiser’s page describes Sneaky Sound System as a dance act led by singer Miss Connie and producer and DJ Angus McDonald, who started making music together in 2004. It says their self-titled debut album arrived in 2006, that the act has won ARIA Awards for Breakthrough Artist and Best Dance Release, and that its hits include UFO, Pictures and I Love It. The page also describes their long-running Sneaky Sundays club night.

The organiser has not said how long the set is or when it starts. Until a stage time appears on the organiser’s page, nothing is confirmed.

Who is Jayne Denham?

Denham is the supporting act. The organiser describes her as a seven-time Golden Guitar nominee whose albums Wanted and Moonshine both reached number 1 on the ARIA Australian Country Album Chart. It says her new album was recorded in Nashville and is built “for rock volume”, and that she has played Tamworth, Gympie Muster and Groundwater Country Music Festival, among others.

Is it free, and what does it cost to get in?

The organiser calls the day a “Free Family Fun Day” and lists no entry fee on its page. It does not publish food, drink or ride prices. The Convoy raises money for local causes through registrations, donations, merchandise and auctions, not through the fun day gate.

How do I get to the fun day?

The organiser lists several ways in, thanks to the Premier Transport group, which it says has donated its bus services for the event again.

Option Details from the organiser
Train Take the train to Albion Park Rail, cross the Princes Highway and you are at the main entry. The site is directly across the road from the station
Park n Ride The public car park is on the corner of Croom Road and Tongarra Road, with the entry on the Croom Road side and the exit on the Tongarra Road side. Park, then catch a free shuttle bus from the Park n Ride gate to the pedestrian entrance at the airport. Buses run 8am to 4pm
Convoy buses Free buses run from Stockland Shellharbour and from Oak Flats train station
Disabled parking A dedicated area just inside the airport, entered off Hargraves Avenue and Boomerang Avenue, Albion Park Rail (marked Truck Entry on the organiser’s map)

Where do I park if I need disabled access?

Vehicles must show a disabled parking pass to enter the dedicated area just inside the airport. The entry is the same gate the convoy trucks use, so the organiser encourages drivers to arrive before 10am to try to get in before the trucks arrive. The organiser says the convoy bikes should finish at about 9:15am to 9:30am and the trucks later.

What time does the convoy arrive?

The convoy leaves Appin from 8:15am, and the organiser’s guide says bikes should finish around 9:15am to 9:30am, followed by the buses and then the trucks. On its vantage point list it gives about 9am for the first bikes on the Princes Highway at Albion Park Rail and about 9:30am to 10am for the trucks. These are guides only, and the organiser says traffic and weather can change them. Our route guide has the full order of departure and the vantage points.

How does the Convoy raise its money?

The organiser’s home page shows a running total of $30,070,914 raised since 2005, and a leaderboard of teams and individual fundraisers. At the time of checking, the top team was Grechys Boxing & Fitness with $91,093.00 raised, followed by polytec with $75,000.00. The Convoy’s own history, as quoted on its site, says the first event aimed to raise $20,000 for children and families living with cancer, and that the Illawarra community donated $52,000 in that first year. A news item dated 10 September says GM3 will match every dollar donated to the GM3 Convoy Team page, up to $50,000. Another, dated 2 October, says Ugly Fish Eyewear will supply free Safety Shield sunglasses to the first 1,000 people to register for the convoy.

Can I take part in Cars for Convoy?

The organiser is taking expressions of interest for its 2026 Cars for Convoy static display, which it says goes ahead weather permitting. The expression of interest form is on the Convoy website, linked from its home page and from the fun day page.

What should I take?

The organiser does not give a packing list. The organiser has not said what facilities are on site. Its public safety message for the route also warns about fire hazards because of the dry weather, and asks everyone to dispose of cigarette butts thoughtfully.
