Two public Remembrance Day services will be held in the City of Parramatta on Wednesday 11 November 2026: one at the Epping Cenotaph in Boronia Park at 10:45am, and one at Prince Alfred Square in Parramatta at 10:50am. Both are free. The council says Australians observe one minute’s silence at 11am.

This brief uses the City of Parramatta’s Remembrance Day page and its @Parramatta listings for the Parramatta service and the Epping service, all read on Saturday 31 October 2026.

What time are the Remembrance Day services in Parramatta and Epping?

Service Time Venue
Epping RSL sub-Branch 10:45am to 11:10am Epping Cenotaph, Boronia Park, Boronia Avenue, Epping
City of Parramatta RSL sub-Branch 10:50am to 11:30am Prince Alfred Square, 353d Church Street, Parramatta

The two services overlap, so you cannot attend both from the start. The council’s page says Remembrance Day marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended the First World War, and that Australians observe one minute’s silence at 11am “in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts”. The Epping service is listed as ending at 11:10am, a short time after 11am. The Parramatta service runs until 11:30am.

Where can I find more information?

The council’s Remembrance Day page links to the Parramatta History and Heritage site for online commemoration, and to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs ANZAC Portal. It also says serving, ex-service and reservist members of the Australian Defence Force or allied forces, and their family members, are eligible to join the Epping or City of Parramatta RSL sub-Branches. Photos on this page show the venues in other years and are not from the services.
