Sunset Sounds: Family Beats is a free community event at Highview Park in Alexander Heights (WA) from 3pm to 7pm on Saturday 7 November 2026. The City of Wanneroo runs it, and the headline act is Beauty and the Beats, a live Disney tribute band, on stage at 4:45pm and 6pm.
This guide uses the City of Wanneroo’s own event page, read on 28 October 2026, and the City’s November events calendar. The City has not published parking, public transport or wet-weather advice for the day, and this guide says so where it matters rather than guessing.
Is Sunset Sounds: Family Beats free?
Yes. The City lists the cost as free, and the free kids’ activities (face painting, a glitter bar, giant lawn games, and arts and crafts) are part of the program. The City’s page does not give prices for the food trucks, the drinks or the market stalls, so take cash and a card to be safe, and check each vendor on the day.
The City does not say whether you need to register. The page shows no booking link and no ticket button. The Wanneroo Show on 13 and 14 November, by contrast, is listed by the City as a ticketed event.

What time does everything start?
The City gives three performance times and lists the rest of the stage program in order only. Here is what is confirmed.
| Item | Time | What the City says |
|---|---|---|
| Event opens | 3pm | Runs until 7pm |
| The Lulus | 4pm | Interactive children’s stage show with songs, dancing and ways to join in |
| Beauty and the Beats, first appearance | 4:45pm | Live Disney tribute band |
| Beauty and the Beats, second appearance | 6pm | Live Disney tribute band |
| Event closes | 7pm | Event ends |
The City’s stage program runs in this order: a welcome, Hannah Reader (a local artist), The Lulus, a dance performance by Esteem Dance Company, a welcome from the Mayor, Beauty and the Beats (set one), Lewis Wagstoff (a local artist), another dance performance by Esteem Dance Company, then Beauty and the Beats (set two). The City gives no start times for the items without a time in the table, so treat them as approximate.
Who is Beauty and the Beats?
The City describes Beauty and the Beats as a live Disney tribute band that performs reimagined classics from Frozen, The Little Mermaid and more. It says the band brings powerful vocals, from soulful ballads to feel-good soundtrack songs. The band plays two sets, at 4:45pm and 6pm, so you can catch one even if you arrive late or leave early.
The City frames the afternoon as a “storybook” theme of Disney nostalgia. This guide has not found any statement that characters or costumes will be on site, so do not plan around a character meet-and-greet.

What is there for the kids?
The City lists four free activities: face painting, a glitter bar, giant lawn games, and arts and crafts. It also names The Lulus as the children’s act, at 4pm. The City’s description of the afternoon also tells parents to relax on the lawn and bring a picnic rug.
The City does not give an age range for the activities, and it does not say whether there are queues or limits on the face painting. If your children are small, the 4pm Lulus show is the natural first stop, because the show is built around joining in.
Which food trucks and drinks vendors will be there?
The City lists these food and drink vendors by name:
- Passaparola Pizzeria
- Chips on a Stick WA
- Lola’s Biggest Handmade Spring Rolls
- Osakaya Okonomiyaki
- El Sabor Latino
- Mr Meli Donuts
- Fairy Pop Fun Food
- Zest Soft Serve
- Coffeelicious
- Shaken Lemon Co.
The City does not publish menus, prices or whether any vendor offers gluten-free or vegetarian options. If you have an allergy, ask the vendor on the day rather than relying on a list of names.
What market stalls are on?
The City lists twelve market stalls: Angels on Earth, Arbonne, Bohemian Rays, Bun Buns Personalisation Station, Butterdream Baking, Chilli Crochet, Crafty Collections, Festival of Hair (colourful ponytails and hair accessories), Knotty Bracelets, LollyBDesigns, Lolly Bag Lady and Suzational Creations.
The names point to handmade and small-business goods such as crochet, bracelets, baking, lollies and hair accessories. Prices are not published.

Where do I park, and are there buses to Highview Park?
The City of Wanneroo has not published parking or bus advice for Sunset Sounds: Family Beats on the event page we read. It gives the address as Highview Park, Highview Street, Alexander Heights, and no more. Two things you can do:
- Use the Transperth journey planner. Enter “Highview Park, Alexander Heights” at transperth.wa.gov.au to see Saturday afternoon and evening services, and check the last bus home, because the event ends at 7pm.
- Follow the City’s event Facebook page. The City tells people to follow its event Facebook page for the latest, so check it for changes.
If you drive, the City has not said where to park, whether there is an overflow area or how traffic will be managed. Leave extra time, park only where signs allow.

What happens if it rains?
The City has not published a wet-weather plan, and the event page does not say whether the show goes ahead in rain. Check the City’s event page and its event Facebook page on the morning of Saturday 7 November before you leave. If the City changes the event, those are the first places it will say so.
How should I plan the afternoon?
| If you want to | Plan to |
|---|---|
| See the kids’ show | Be on the lawn before 4pm for The Lulus |
| Hear the headline band | Be there for 4:45pm, or 6pm for the second set |
| Eat there | The City gives no queue advice, so eating before the 4pm show or between sets is a sensible plan |
| Browse the market stalls | Browse before the 4:45pm set, so you do not miss the first Beauty and the Beats performance |
| Leave early | The band plays twice, so you can catch the 4:45pm set and head home |
Take a picnic rug, as the City suggests, plus water and sun protection for the 3pm start. The City does not say whether alcohol, pets or your own picnic food are allowed, and it does not list toilets or first aid, so check the Facebook page or the City’s contact details before you go.
Is it suitable for little kids and people with access needs?
The City describes it as a family afternoon, with a children’s stage show and kids’ activities. It does not publish access details such as accessible parking, toilets or wheelchair routes across the park. If you need that information, contact the City of Wanneroo through its website before the day.
