Parking at Westfield Carousel in Cannington is free for the first two hours, and the daily maximum is $35.00. Westfield members who add their number plate to the Westfield app get four hours free. The centre uses number plate recognition instead of paper tickets, and its rates are the same every day of the week. Western Australia does not use daylight saving, so all times are Perth time (AWST, UTC+8).
How much does parking cost at Westfield Carousel?
Westfield’s parking page, checked on 27 October 2026, lists two rate scales. Both are “Monday to Sunday”, so they do not change at the weekend.

Westfield also says members get free parking if they enter after 5:30pm and leave before 1am. Prices are as of 27 October 2026 and can change, so check the screen at the pay station.
How do I pay, and what happens at the boom gate?
Westfield says members have no boom gate at entry. If a member’s visit is under four hours and their number plate is in the Westfield app, parking is free. A longer stay can be paid by credit card through the app or at a pay station. Non-members whose visit is over two hours go to a pay station, enter their number plate and pay, then drive to the exit, where the system recognises the payment and the boom gate opens automatically.

What does valet parking cost?
Valet parking is a separate service. Westfield lists $10 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and $15 on Thursday to Sunday. The “peak periods” rate of $15 applies on all state and national public holidays during centre trading hours and during all state school holidays, and Westfield adds that regular parking fees apply. If you travel south on Albany Highway, the valet area is on the left just after the bus stop opposite Hungry Jack’s. If you travel north, turn right at the Liege Street traffic lights and the valet entry is on the left.
How do I get to Westfield Carousel by bus or train?
The centre is at 1382 Albany Highway, Cannington, between Cecil Avenue and Grose Avenue. By car, Westfield lists Liege Street, Cecil Avenue, Carousel Road and Grose Avenue as the ways in. From Cannington railway station, four buses stop outside the centre, in a trip Westfield says takes about two minutes:
| Route | Departs from |
|---|---|
| 34 | Stand 7 |
| 100 | Stand 6 |
| 206 | Stand 5 |
| 507 | Stand 3 |

Westfield also lists routes 72, 177, 202, 203, 207, 208, 229, 294, 508 and 509 from Cannington Station. From the city, SuperBus route 930 runs from Elizabeth Quay Bus Station via Shepperton Road and Albany Highway, and route 220 leaves the Perth Busport. The page does not give bus times, so use the Transperth journey planner. Taxis wait at a rank near the entrance off Carousel Road and at a second rank outside the Nando’s entrance on Grose Avenue.

What if I park on a street near the centre?
Streets are run by the City of Canning, not by Westfield. The City says illegal parking includes parking on or across the footpath, parking for longer than permitted, blocking a driveway, parking in a no stopping or no parking area, and parking in an accessible (ACROD) bay without a permit. Under section 8.6 of its Parking Local Laws 2010, a vehicle may not obstruct a public place, and the City’s page ties this to a 24 hour period (its wording on the exact rule is unclear), and that includes verges. To report a vehicle causing an obstruction, the City asks you to call 1300 422 664, which it says works 24 hours a day.
If you receive a fine from the City, it must be paid within 28 days of the issue date. After a further 28 days a Final Demand Notice with an agency fee follows, and then the fine goes to the Fines Enforcement Registry, after which a driver’s licence can be suspended and vehicle registration renewal can be blocked. The City says it does not generally give extensions, accepts no part payments and cannot arrange payment plans. An appeal must be lodged within 28 days. The City lists valid reasons such as a vehicle breakdown with a report, a medical emergency with a certificate, or a vehicle sold before the offence. It lists invalid reasons including not seeing the sign, losing track of time, an appointment that ran over, and a good driving record.
Payment is possible online, by cheque in the mail, or in person at the Civic Administration Building, corner of Albany Highway and George Street West, Cannington, 8:15am to 5pm Monday to Friday. This guide does not give fine amounts because the City’s penalty schedule was not read.
