Chadstone will open from 8am to 11pm on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November, the longest days on its published calendar, while Westfield Southland will trade until 10pm on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 November and has already published its hours through to Sunday 3 January. Each centre says individual store hours vary, so the times below are the centre’s, not every shop’s.
This page covers the two centres that have put Black Friday weekend hours on their own pages as of Saturday 7 November 2026.
What are the Black Friday weekend hours at Chadstone and Westfield Southland?
| Day | Chadstone | Westfield Southland |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday 26 November | 9am to 9pm | 9am to 10pm |

Westfield’s page labels Friday 27 November as Black Friday and the weekend of 28 and 29 November as Black Friday weekend. Chadstone’s opening hours page lists the same dates without a label, though its Christmas page links to a Black November sales page and to its extended trading hours, which is the opening hours page. The week before, Chadstone is open Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 November from 9am to 6:30pm, an hour later than the 5:30pm close listed for the Monday to Wednesday days in the weeks before.

The Dining Laneway is open 11am to 10pm Monday to Wednesday and Sunday, and 11am to 11pm Thursday to Saturday. The Social Quarter is listed as open daily until late. Chadstone’s page gives no hours after Sunday 29 November yet, and no Christmas Day or Boxing Day hours.

Westfield says that while the centre is open during these core hours, they are not compulsory, and some stores may choose to trade at alternative times. It recommends calling the store before you arrive to confirm its hours. The page also carries a link to a “2025 Christmas guide”, which is last year’s, so we have not used it.
Is there anything on offer for evening shoppers at Southland?
Westfield’s page promotes what it calls Park and play: you can head straight into Timezone and Zone Bowling or Village Cinemas via the P3 Green car park and play all night with free parking after 6pm. Westfield’s Black Friday guide, linked from the same page, says there are hundreds of offers from retailers, plus extended opening hours. We have not read the offers themselves.
Where are the centres and who do I ring?
Chadstone is at 1341 Dandenong Road, Chadstone VIC 3148, and its phone number is (03) 9563 3355. Westfield Southland is at 1239 Nepean Highway, Cheltenham VIC 3192, and its Concierge is on (03) 9582 5600. For getting to Chadstone, see our guide to Chadstone parking and getting there.
What is still unknown?
Chadstone’s page has no hours after Sunday 29 November, no Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Boxing Day hours, and no New Year’s hours. We have not read the festive hours pages for Westfield Knox, Doncaster, Fountain Gate, Eastland, Highpoint, Northland and the other Melbourne centres.
