Wyndham City’s Movies in the Park returns to Williams Landing on Saturday 28 November 2026 with a free screening of Sing: popcorn, face painting and entertainment start at 5pm, and the movie starts at 6pm, at the Williams Landing Activation Space on Kendall Street. No booking is needed. This guide pulls together the council’s event page and its Movies in the Park page, checked on 2 November 2026: what time to arrive, how to get there, where to park, what you can and cannot bring, and what happens if it rains.
What time does the Sing movie night start?
The council’s event page lists the session as 5pm to 8pm on Saturday 28 November 2026. It says there will be free popcorn, face painting and entertainment from 5pm, and that the movie starts at 6pm. The council’s Movies in the Park page gives the same pattern for every session in the series: arrive at 5pm for the free entertainment and popcorn, then settle in for the film at 6pm.
| Time | What the council says |
|---|---|
| 5:00pm | Free popcorn, face painting and entertainment begin |
| 6:00pm | Movie starts (Sing) |
| 8:00pm | Listed end of the session |
The series page describes the film as a family favourite and invites visitors to bring their best voice. The organiser is Wyndham City’s Placemaking and Activations team, the event is listed for all ages, and the cost is listed as free. These are Melbourne times, which are on daylight saving at this time of year.

Where is the Williams Landing Activation Space, and how do I get there by train?
The event page gives the location as Williams Landing Activation Space, Kendall Street, Williams Landing. The Movies in the Park page says Williams Landing is just a few minutes’ walk from Williams Landing Train Station, and that it can be reached by train or bus. It does not give a distance in metres or name a bus route for this venue. Our myki fares guide explains what a trip costs.
The council does not publish a walking route from the station to the screening, or a map of where the screen will be set up inside the space.

Where do I park for the Sing movie night?
Wyndham City says there is plenty of free parking close by each venue, and asks you to check local parking signs for restrictions. The council does not name a particular car park for the Williams Landing session, so read the signs where you stop. The same page lists the other ways in: the train, or, for the series’ Mambourin session only, bus routes 192 or 194.
Williams Landing has dinner options from nearby businesses, according to the event page. The council says the same in its Movies in the Park FAQ: you can bring your own picnic, and it encourages you to buy takeaway from local cafes and eateries to eat while watching the film. Alcohol is not permitted.

What should I bring, and what is not allowed?
The event page encourages you to bring your own picnic blanket or chairs. The FAQ adds that if you bring chairs, you may be asked to move to the back or side of the viewing area for the comfort of others, and that tables, umbrellas and marquees are not permitted. It suggests sunscreen, a hat and water, because it may be warm when the movie starts, and extra layers because the park gets cooler after dark.
The council’s conditions of entry for the series add these rules:
- Alcohol and smoking are not permitted.
- Bringing your own food is permitted.
- Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
- Live streaming or broadcasting is not permitted, and commercial photography needs the council’s permission first.
- Attendees may not sell or hire items, or hand out advertising material, without the council’s permission.
- You are responsible for your own belongings and should not leave them unattended.
- The council says photos and video may be taken at the event, including crowd shots, and says to speak to the photographer or a council staff member if you do not want your or your child’s photo taken.
Can I bring my dog?
The council’s pages do not agree, so check on the night. The FAQ says that, for the comfort of all attendees, the council does not recommend bringing your dog, and that service animals are welcome. The conditions of entry on the same page say dogs are permitted if they are on a lead and supervised by their owner at all times, and that owners must pick up after them. Assistance animals certified by a registered authority are welcome under the accessibility answer. If you are unsure, ask a council staff member at the event.

Is it accessible, and are there toilets?
The council says each location has a flat surface with accessible entry, and that the movie will feature closed captions. Portable toilets will be provided at the event. For any other question, the event page lists placemaking@wyndham.vic.gov.au, or you can call Wyndham City on 1300 023 411. Local businesses that want to get involved in the event are asked to use the same email address.
What if it rains?
This is an outdoor event, and the council says movies may be cancelled or rescheduled because of poor weather. It says it will monitor conditions in the lead-up, and that if extreme weather is forecast, updates will go on the Wyndham City website and its Facebook page. The event page also points to the council’s Instagram account for updates. The council does not publish a wet-weather venue or a cut-off time for the decision, so check those pages before you leave home.

What else is in the Movies in the Park series?
Williams Landing is the second of five sessions listed on the council’s series page, after the Halloween screening at Hoppers Crossing on 31 October. All are free, 5pm to 8pm, with the movie at 6pm.
| Date | Movie | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday 31 October 2026 | Hotel Transylvania (Halloween) | Hoppers Crossing |
| Saturday 28 November 2026 | Sing | Williams Landing (Activation Space, Kendall Street) |
| Saturday 19 December 2026 | Elf (Christmas special, with Santa) | Werribee |
| Saturday 13 February 2027 | The Notebook (Valentine’s) | Werribee |
| Saturday 20 March 2027 | Rio | Werribee (Barrabool Boulevard Park, Mambourin) |
The council says the Christmas session is a special edition, with more entertainment, a visit from Santa and free family photos. Our guide to the Halloween session at Hoppers Junction covers the first screening in the series.
