The 2026 Victorian PGA Championship is free to attend: there is no ticket to buy, and parking at Moonah Links is free for the whole tournament, from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 December. Play starts at 7:30am on Thursday and Friday. This guide uses the PGA Tour of Australasia event page, the Mornington Peninsula Shire event listing and the Moonah Links website, all read on 3 November 2026.
Is the Victorian PGA Championship free?
Yes. The PGA Tour of Australasia says the Victorian PGA Championship is a free event and that no tickets are required to enter. The Mornington Peninsula Shire listing says the same: entry is free across the four days, with free parking on site.
| Item | What the organisers say |
|---|---|
| Entry | Free, no tickets required |
| Parking | Public parking at Moonah Links, free of charge for the duration of the tournament |
| Directions on arrival | Follow the directions of volunteers |
| Food and drink | Public catering from the Moonah Links Clubhouse |
| TV | Live on Fox Sports and Kayo across the weekend |
The organisers have not published a car park map or a count of spaces. The only instruction is to follow the volunteers when you arrive.

What time does play start each day?
The PGA Tour of Australasia lists the hours of play as 7:30am to 6:00pm on Thursday and Friday. For the weekend it gives approximate times and notes that they are subject to change. The Shire listing gives slightly different weekend windows, so the table shows both.
| Day | PGA Tour of Australasia (hours of play) | Mornington Peninsula Shire listing |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday 10 December | 7:30am to 6:00pm | 7:30am to 6:00pm |
| Friday 11 December | 7:30am to 6:00pm | 7:30am to 6:00pm |
| Saturday 12 December | Approximately 8:30am to 5:50pm | 8:30am to 6:00pm |
| Sunday 13 December | Approximately 9:00am to 5:40pm | 9:00am to 6:00pm |
The start times agree on both pages. The finishing times differ by a few minutes on the weekend, and the organiser’s page marks them as approximate.
When will tee times be published?
Tee times will be on the event page and in the PGA Tour of Australasia app. The organisers say the draw is not made until the Tuesday of tournament week, which is Tuesday 8 December 2026. Until then the groups are not known.
How does the tournament work?
The tournament is played in a Pro-Am format. The organisers compare it to the Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the US PGA Tour and the Dunhill Links Championship on the DP World Tour: amateurs are paired with professionals, and the amateurs play for the VIC PGA Amateur Challenge. The event is sanctioned by the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and is played across both championship golf courses at Moonah Links.
| Competition | Thursday and Friday | Saturday | Sunday |
|---|---|---|---|
| Professional Championship (72 holes, stroke play) | 120 players | Leading 50 professionals after the cut | Final round |
| VIC PGA Amateur Challenge | 120 amateurs, each paired with a professional as a team of two | Top 25 teams | Top 8 amateurs play with their professional partners |
The organisers say the top 8 amateurs play Sunday’s final round alongside their professional partner on live TV. The professional championship is decided over four rounds, so the leading 50 professionals make the cut and play rounds three and four.

Who is the defending champion?
The PGA Tour of Australasia names Marc Leishman as the defending champion from 2025. The Moonah Links website says Leishman won the 2025 Victorian PGA by one shot over fellow Victorian Josh Younger, with rounds of 71, 67, 68 and 76. It adds that his father caddied for him and his son played alongside him as his Pro-Am partner. The club’s account says the win ended a 17-year wait for a home-soil title.
Where is Moonah Links and how do I get there?
The venue is Moonah Links Resort, 55 Peter Thomson Drive, Fingal, Victoria 3939, on the Mornington Peninsula. According to its website, Moonah Links opened in 2001 and has two courses, the Open Course and the Legends Course. It says the venue has hosted the Australian Open and the Victorian PGA Championship before. The Peppers Moonah Links Resort, which offers accommodation, is in the same location. The website describes the resort as having onsite dining and event spaces, and says it is close to wineries, hot springs and beaches. It also says the Open Course was ranked number 98 in Golfweek’s Best 2025 list of the Top 100 International Courses, and that the club welcomes visitors back for another tournament in 2026. The Shire listing names PGA of Australia as the contact for the event and gives the tournament’s website as golf.com.au/victorian-pga-championship, the same page this guide draws on for the hours of play, the format and the broadcast details.
Neither the PGA Tour of Australasia page nor the Shire listing gives a public transport option, a shuttle or a recommended driving route. They give one instruction for arrival: parking is available at Moonah Links, and you should follow the directions of volunteers.

Where can I eat and drink?
The PGA Tour of Australasia lists public catering from the Moonah Links Clubhouse. It does not list food trucks, a spectator village or prices. The Moonah Links website lists dining at Spike Dining and Pebbles Restaurant on its menu, but neither page says whether those venues are open to spectators during the tournament.
Can I watch on TV instead?
Yes. The tournament will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and Kayo across the weekend, according to the PGA Tour of Australasia. The organiser’s page does not list broadcast times.

Can I play in the Amateur Challenge or volunteer?
The event page has links to register for the Amateur Challenge and to volunteer for the event. This guide has not read those registration pages, so it gives no entry fee, deadline or number of places. Use the PGA Tour of Australasia event page for those.
What has not been confirmed yet?
- Tee times: the draw is made on the Tuesday of tournament week, 8 December 2026.
- Weekend finishing times: the organiser marks them as approximate and subject to change.
- Public transport or shuttle options: neither page lists any.
- A car park map or the number of spaces: neither page gives one.
- Food and drink beyond the Clubhouse: not listed.
For questions about the tournament, the Shire listing gives PGA of Australia as the contact, on (03) 8320 1999 or events@pga.org.au.
