Parking at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre on Marine Parade in Southport is metered. The City of Gold Coast says there is metered parking at the centre and in the local Broadwater area. The City’s page does not give a rate for the meters at the centre itself; its Broadwater car park page says that car park charges $3.60 an hour from 9am to 7pm, every day. The centre lists a Swimming Gold Coast Relay Championships on Saturday 31 October from 8am to 1pm, and warns that parking may be limited on event dates.

Everything below is from the City’s own pages, plus one Translink notice, checked on 25 October 2026. Prices and hours are as of that date.

Where do I park at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre?

The City’s aquatic centre page says metered parking is available at the centre and in the local Broadwater area, and sends visitors to its Broadwater car park page for more. That page, which covers the Broadwater car park only, says fees apply between 9am and 7pm, Monday to Sunday, at $3.60 an hour, and that parking charges apply on public holidays, excluding Anzac Day. Our Broadwater car park guide goes into the car park itself.

The aquatic centre page does not give a meter rate, a number of spaces or the position of its own bays. It does say that accessible parking is located at the main entrance.

Who gets free parking?

Limited free parking is available at the centre, but only for certain paid-up memberships and enrolments. The City lists learn to swim enrolments on an ongoing direct debit, squad enrolments on an ongoing direct debit, 12 and 6 month pool-only memberships, 12 and 6 month fitness centre memberships and the fitness centre 25-visit pass. The offer depends on the membership or enrolment being paid and up to date. Casual swimmers pay the meter.

What is on at the centre soon?

Date Event Time Space used
Saturday 31 October Swimming Gold Coast Relay Championships 8am to 1pm Competition pool, 3 lanes of the training pool

The City says event information about tickets or schedules has to come from the event organisers, because it cannot provide it. Public access to the pools may also be restricted on days when school swimming carnivals or other events are booked, so check with the centre if you plan a casual swim.

How do I get there by public transport?

The City’s page only says to see the Broadwater car park page for parking, and does not name a G:link station. The official pages we checked do not name a station or stop for the centre or give a walking distance. A Translink notice does list a bus stop, Ada Bell Way at Broadwater Parklands station, Southport (Stop ID 319472), but it does not say how far that is from the centre, so use the Translink journey planner. Our G:link fares guide explains fares and how to pay.
