Bullhorn and Fat Picnic play Tank 5 at the Tanks Arts Centre in Edge Hill, Cairns, on Saturday 7 November 2026, with the venue opening at 6:30pm and the show starting at 7:15pm. Fully standing tickets are $50 for adults 18 and over, or $55 as door sales, with booking fees included, and the council says parking is free along Collins Avenue and in the Tank 1 car park. Cairns is in Queensland and stays on Brisbane time all year (AEST, UTC+10), so every time below is local time with no daylight-saving change.
This guide uses the Ticketlink event page (read on 5 November 2026) and the council’s Tanks Arts Centre page and arts venues page (read on 31 October 2026). Ticketlink is run by Cairns Regional Council and is the ticket seller for council venues.

Who is playing and what is the night?
Ticketlink says Bullhorn, which it describes as a brass-powered hip hop collective described as Meanjin-based, return to Tanks Arts Centre to launch their new album The Look Out. The listing says the band fuse hip hop, funk, jazz and brass band traditions, and have toured Australia and overseas for more than a decade.
Fat Picnic join the bill, celebrating the release of their new single Everybody Knew It. The listing describes them as festival-circuit favourites who blend soulful pop hooks, ska grooves and dub-reggae rhythms. The page does not give set times or say who plays first.

How much are the tickets?
| Ticket | Price |
|---|---|
| Fully Standing, Adult 18+ | $50.00 |
| Fully Standing, Door Sales | $55.00 |
Ticketlink says the price includes booking fees. The event page lists the show as on sale now, but it does not say how many tickets are left or how door sales work. Ticketlink takes enquiries on 1300 855 835 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). Ticketlink adds the usual condition that there is generally no right to a refund or exchange except as required by law or as provided in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice.
Ticketlink describes itself as the only authorised seller for council venues including the Tanks Arts Centre, and warns that tickets bought from unauthorised channels may mean you are denied entry.
Is the show 18 and over?
Yes. The listing rates the show R 18+, which it spells out as restricted to 18 years and over. The ticket type is also named Adult 18+. The page adds a warning that the show may contain haze, strobe and smoke effects. The council’s pages read for this guide do not say what proof of age the venue accepts.

Where is the Tanks Arts Centre?
The Tanks Arts Centre is at 46 Collins Avenue, Edge Hill. The council says it sits in the Cairns Botanic Gardens precinct, about 4km north of the city’s CBD, and is housed in three converted World War 2 naval oil storage tanks. Tank 5 is the main performance space; the council lists a licensed bar and a capacity of 650 standing or 480 seated. The venue table notes that some Tanks shows require fully standing to allow for higher ticket numbers, which is how this show is listed.
The venue table lists a short uncovered walk for weather cover, bicycle racks near the Tank Sixty Four Cafe, and an outdoor designated area for smoking.
Where do I park, and is it free?
The council’s venue page says: “Free car parking is available close to the site along Collins Avenue and in Tank 1 car park (close to railway line and the Sheridan Street entrance to Collins Avenue).” The arts venues page lists the same two options. Neither page gives a number of spaces.
| Parking | What the council says |
|---|---|
| General parking | Free, along Collins Avenue and in the Tank 1 car park |
| Tank 1 car park | Close to the railway line and the Sheridan Street entrance to Collins Avenue |
| Accessible parking | Three bays directly in front of the main entrance (in front of Tank 4); one on Collins Avenue in front of Tank Sixty Four Cafe (the venue table also lists two at the cafe) |
The two council pages differ slightly on the accessible bays at the cafe: the venue page lists one on Collins Avenue in front of Tank Sixty Four Cafe, and the arts venues table lists one on Collins Avenue and two at the cafe.

When can I collect tickets and what is the door arrangement?
Ticketlink says the Box Office opens at the advertised venue-opening time, 6:30pm, for ticket collection and enquiries. The council’s venue table says the bar at Tanks opens 30 minutes before performance times, which for a 7:15pm show works out at 6:45pm; that time is worked out from the table and is not stated for this event.
Is the venue accessible?
The council says the Tanks Arts Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, with compliant graded paths and access points, and that Tank 3 has a compliant graded ramp to enter and exit the venue. Accessible bathrooms are beside Tank 5 and in the Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre, the latter subject to opening hours. The venue table adds that a wheelie walker should stay with its user and that a hearing loop using Telecoil software is listed.
The Companion Card is accepted. For this show, the event page says ticket holders with companion cards can be issued companion tickets at the venue’s door.

What can I bring, what should I wear, and what is there to eat?
| Question | What the council and Ticketlink say |
|---|---|
| Dress code | Casual, shoes required (Tanks Arts Centre venue table) |
| Cameras | Phone only (venue table; Ticketlink does not repeat it for this event) |
| Bar | Full bar, listed by Ticketlink; the venue table says it opens 30 minutes before performance times |
| Food | Ticketlink lists Outback Baked Potatoes under Food; the page gives no menu or prices |
| Smoking | Outdoor designated area only |
What else is on at Tanks around the same time?
Ticketlink’s calendar, read on 5 November 2026, lists more Tank 5 shows: the Understory Film Festival Screening and Awards Presentation on Saturday 21 November, Tex Perkins and Matt Walker on Friday 27 November, Jeff Martin on Saturday 5 December and Tanks Blues with Backsliders on Friday 11 December. The venue’s parking arrangements on the council pages are the same for every show, but each event page carries its own times, prices and age rating.

Who do I contact if something changes?
For tickets, call Ticketlink on 1300 855 835 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, or write to info@ticketlink.com.au. For the venue, the Tanks Arts Centre lists (07) 4032 6600. This guide will be checked again on the morning of the show, and updated if Ticketlink changes the times or prices.
