Adelaide is on daylight saving in November (UTC+10:30), and every time below is local Adelaide time.
This guide is from the Adelaide Oval event page and the Adelaide Metro notice Free travel to international cricket at Adelaide Oval (3 November 2026), both read on 5 November 2026.
What time are the gates, and when is the first ball?
The Oval’s event page describes the match as a Day/Night Men’s One Day International and gives these times for Sunday 15 November:
| What | Time (Sunday 15 November) |
|---|---|
| Free public transport begins | All day, with a valid matchday ticket |
| Member gates open | 12:30pm |
| Public gates open | 12:45pm |
| First ball | 2:00pm |
Adelaide Metro gives the same public gates and first-ball times (it does not list the member gates). Neither source gives a finish time, so plan your trip home around when the match actually ends.

Is public transport really free, and what do I need?
Yes. Adelaide Metro says all regular Adelaide Metro services are free all day to the Men’s ODI match with a valid matchday ticket, and that additional buses, trains and trams will operate before and after the match. The Oval’s event page says the same: additional bus, train and tram services will be in operation, free for valid match ticket holders. The Adelaide Metro notice does not describe how the ticket is checked, so have it ready on your phone when you board. The same free travel applies to the Men’s International Test Series between Australia and New Zealand from Thursday 17 December to Monday 21 December 2026.
Adelaide Metro also warns that traffic will be heavier than usual around Adelaide Oval and asks you to allow extra travel time. Road restrictions will be in place around the stadium so crowds can enter and leave safely, and it asks you to be patient when leaving car parks and to follow the directions of police and traffic controllers. Live road conditions are on the Traffic SA website.
Which buses go to Adelaide Oval?
Bus services will operate to and from the cricket. Adelaide Metro says you can search “Adelaide Oval” to find a timetable and plan a journey to and from the stadium. It states that AO and AOX services will not operate during these matches, so do not look for an AO or AOX bus on the day.

Which trains and trams run to the match?
| Mode | What Adelaide Metro says |
|---|---|
| Train | Trains operate before and after the match and arrive and depart from Adelaide Railway Station, a short walk to the stadium. Adelaide Metro links separate timetables for the Belair, Gawler, Outer Harbor, Port Dock and Grange, and Seaford and Flinders lines |
| Festival tram line | Runs from Glenelg to Adelaide Oval, arriving and departing from the Festival Plaza tram stop on King William Road, a short walk to the Oval |
| Glenelg and Botanic tram lines | Arrive and depart from the Adelaide Railway Station tram stop on North Terrace; walk through the station and across the Riverbank Bridge to the Oval |
Adelaide Metro reminds tram passengers to check the digital display on the front of the tram before boarding, to avoid travelling in the wrong direction or getting on the wrong tram. It has not published the extra train and tram times in the notice; use the timetable links on the notice or the journey planner.

How do I walk from the station to the Oval?
From Adelaide Railway Station, Adelaide Metro says to walk through the station and across the Riverbank Bridge to Adelaide Oval. For the broader picture of how the stadium’s event-day buses, trains and trams normally work, see our guide to getting to Adelaide Oval on event days; the AO and AOX routes in that guide do not apply to this match.

Where are the taxi ranks and ride-share pick-up zones?
Adelaide Metro says temporary taxi ranks will be installed at these locations:
| Rank | Where |
|---|---|
| King William Road | West side, south of Pennington Terrace (taxi rank only after 5:00pm) |
| Montefiore Road | East side, north of War Memorial Drive |
| War Memorial Drive | North side, east of Montefiore Road (for Access taxis and accessible drop-off and pick-up for patrons with wheelchairs and mobility aids) |
Passenger loading zones will be on Pennington Terrace (north side, between Montefiore Road and Palmer Place), Montefiore Road (east side, between War Memorial Drive and Morphett Street Bridge), King William Road (west side, between War Memorial Drive and Pennington Terrace, until 5:00pm) and Montefiore Hill (north side, between Jeffcott Street and Palmer Place). If you are going home by taxi or ride-share, Adelaide Metro advises choosing a pick-up location away from the stadium to avoid delays.
Can I drive and park?
As of 5 November 2026 the Oval’s event page has no car parking details yet and points to the City of Adelaide website for parking restrictions. We are not giving parking locations or prices for this match until the stadium or the City of Adelaide publishes them. The free public transport above is the option the stadium and Adelaide Metro are promoting.
What accessibility options are there?
The Oval’s event page says disability drop-off and pick-up zones are for disability permit holders only, with permits applied for through Services SA. On event days the zones are on War Memorial Drive, out the front of Next Gen Health Clubs and Tennis SA, adjacent to Pinky Flat, which must be reached from the western side via Montefiore Road or Morphett Street Bridge, and on King William Road adjacent to the East Gate for north-bound traffic. The page describes the match as a sunflower-friendly event, with a sensory space next to the East Gate entrance that has sensory activities and quiet zones. Follow the Hidden Disabilities Sunflowers on the stadium floor, or look for the Sunflower team who can escort you.

What has not been confirmed?
As of 5 November 2026, the Oval’s event page has no car parking or road closure details, and neither source gives the exact times of the extra trains and trams. We will check the event page and the Adelaide Metro news again closer to the match and update this guide if it changes.
