The City of Logan Christmas Carols is on Saturday 5 December 2026, from 3pm to 8pm, at Griffith University’s Logan campus in Meadowbrook, and it costs nothing to go in. Queensland does not use daylight saving, so those are Brisbane times all year. The council calls it the city’s biggest annual Christmas event, and it ends with a fireworks display.
This guide is from the council’s own City of Logan Christmas Carols event page, checked on 26 October 2026, plus Griffith University’s parking and transport pages and Translink’s timetable for the bus route that serves the campus. The council has not yet published a stage line-up, parking arrangements or a transport plan for this year, so those parts are marked below and we will update the guide when they appear.
What is confirmed for 2026?
The council’s page confirms the following, and nothing more:
| Detail | What the council says |
|---|---|
| Date and time | Saturday 5 December 2026, 3pm to 8pm |
| Place | Griffith University Logan Campus, 68 University Drive, Meadowbrook 4131 |
| Cost | Free |
| What is on | Food, market stalls and live performances of Christmas carols, plus “a huge range of free activities and rides” |
| Finale | A fireworks display to end the night |
| Seating | Bring your own picnic rug and low chairs for the lawn |
| Not allowed | Tents, shelters and in-ground umbrellas |
| Contact | events@logan.qld.gov.au or 07 3412 4911 |
The page does not say when the fireworks start, which acts are on the stage or which rides will run. It also does not say whether pets or alcohol are allowed. If you are planning around any of those, wait for the council to publish them.

What was the program last year?
The council’s 2025 program PDF is still online and shows how the evening was laid out last year. It describes the 2025 event on Saturday 6 December 2025, also 3pm to 8pm at the same campus. Treat it as a pattern, not a promise: the 2026 line-up has not been announced.
| Time in 2025 | Stage item in 2025 |
|---|---|
| 3:30pm | Welcome |
| 4:00pm | Frosty and Rudolph’s Christmas Surprise Show with Santa |
| 4:30pm | Neve, Ishaaya and Priyanka |
| 5:00pm | Frosty and Rudolph’s Christmas Surprise Show with Santa |
| 5:30pm | Dance Troupe BPA Dance Studio |
| 6:20pm | Ray White Colouring-in Competition winner announcement |
| 6:45pm | Lucky door raffle drawn |
| 7:07pm | Rob Mills |
| 7:20pm | Paulini |
| 8:00pm | Fireworks |
The same 2025 program lists the activity stations and their hours: cookie decorating, a snow globe workshop and letters to Santa from 3pm to 8pm; rides from 3pm to 8pm; Santa photos and face painting from 3pm to 7pm; a colouring corner from 3pm to 6pm; and bubble fun from 4pm to 7pm. Last year’s program also said it was a pet and alcohol-free family event. None of that is confirmed for 2026, so check the council page again closer to the date.
Can I park at the Logan campus for the carols?
The council has not said. The 2026 event page has no parking section, and we found no 2026 parking map.
Here is what is known. Griffith’s own pages say its campuses are regulated parking areas, and the Logan campus has pay-as-you-go and permit areas on and off campus. For ordinary days, Griffith’s casual parking page lists all-day metered parking at Logan at $2 per hour with a maximum of $6 per day, paid through the PayStay app or at pay-by-plate machines on campus (as of October 2026). That is the everyday rule. It does not say whether the carols change it, so do not assume the event is free to park or that the usual meters are switched off.
The council’s 2025 event map marked public parking and accessible parking on the Evans Road side of the campus, a drop-off and pick-up zone, and a bus stop on University Drive. A map for 2026 may look different. Until the council publishes one, read the signs on arrival and check the meters before you walk away from the car.

How do I get there by bus or train?
Griffith says the Logan campus is at Meadowbrook with bus links to the nearby Loganlea train station. Translink’s timetable for routes 562, 563 and 567, effective from 8 June 2026, shows how that works:
| Item | What Translink says |
|---|---|
| Route | 562, Loganholme station to Beenleigh |
| Suburbs served | Shailer Park, Slacks Creek, Meadowbrook, Loganlea, Waterford West, Bethania, Edens Landing and Holmview |
| Days | Operates 7 days |
| Timing points | Includes Loganlea station, Logan Hospital, Griffith University Logan Campus, Meadowbrook Shopping Centre and Loganholme station |
| Fare | 50 cent flat fare across the Translink network, per Griffith’s transport page |
| Help | Translink on 13 12 30 |
We did not read the Saturday evening times for route 562, so we cannot tell you when the last bus leaves. Put 5 December and your start point into the Translink journey planner before you go, and check the return time for after the fireworks. The timetable asks passengers to be at the stop at least five minutes before the scheduled time. Translink’s event transport page is where any special carols services would normally appear.

Will there be a shuttle?
Nothing for 2026 has been announced. The council’s 2026 page does not mention a shuttle, and its 2025 program and map show a bus stop and a drop-off zone but no shuttle service. Plan the trip as if there is none, and treat a shuttle as a bonus if one is announced.
What should I bring and what should I leave at home?
The council’s advice is short. Bring a picnic rug and low chairs so you can claim a spot on the lawn, and leave tents, shelters and in-ground umbrellas behind. Because the event runs from 3pm into the evening and is held outdoors, plan for the weather and take water; the council page does not give a water or shade plan, so we have not listed one.
Taking the bus or train solves the parking question, but it also means carrying your rug and chairs.

Can I run a stall or food van at the carols?
Yes, if you apply in time. The council says expressions of interest are open for food and beverage vendors and market stallholders who want a site at the 2026 carols. Applications close at 11:59pm on Sunday 8 November 2026, and vendors will be told the outcome by Wednesday 11 November 2026. The application is through the council’s event page, and the Events Team can be reached on 07 3412 4911 or at events@logan.qld.gov.au.
What changes before the day?
These items are the ones to recheck in the week of the event:
- The stage line-up and the fireworks time.
- Where public parking and accessible parking will be, and whether there is a charge.
- Whether a drop-off zone or bus stop is marked for the event.
- Whether Translink adds services after the fireworks.
- Pet and alcohol rules for 2026.
For anything the council has not published, the Events Team number is 07 3412 4911. If it rains on the day, the page we read says nothing about a wet-weather plan, so look at the event page on the morning of 5 December.
